After seeing that his all-out attack, which was capable of killing a Fifth Layer Core Forging Realm Enlightened Master, was stopped just like that, Kong Liang knew that he no longer stood a chance against the mystery man. However, instead of panicking, he calmed himself down and sought to find out the identity of the man who was about to kill him.

Kong Liang flew upwards and hovered in mid-air. The seven-colored gourd shivered, releasing a stream of yellow sand that surrounded him in a protective sand ball.

Although the mystery man didn’t reveal his location, Kong Liang still figured out that he should be somewhere above in the sky surrounded by the twelve moon-like spirit pearls.

Whilst this was happening, the mystery man spoke again, "[Divine Smite]."

The twelve spirit pearls moved in a random pattern with a supernatural speed that left afterimages in the dark sky. Then, the spirit pearls shot towards Kong Liang with their heavenly powers!

Kong Liang’s expression changed uncontrollably. He had already realized that he was going to die today and had accepted it, but when the moment finally arrived he couldn’t help but become fearful.

Kong Liang attacked again using the gourd as a last attempt to fight for his life.

However, the fire wall and wind shield couldn’t stop the spirit pearls even for a moment, nor could the water stream’s gravitational force or the ice wall formed by the mist. The golden sword was hit by three spirit pearls and was on the verge of breaking.

Kong Liang cast up another defensive mystic treasure in front of him, but it instantly shattered upon contact with the spirit pearls. In the end, the protective sandball, which was enhanced by Kong Liang’ mini divine ability, barely managed to stop the spirit pearls.

However, the protective sandball was filled with holes clearly about to break, and a trace of blood overflowed from the corner of Kong Liang’s mouth.

Suddenly, a shadowy figure flashed in the sky while Kong Liang’s shadow became lighter.

"I’ve been waiting for you!"

Two jade rings appeared; one below covered in black fire and one above spreading white mist.

The ice ring formed an ice wall around Lu Ping, which halted the shadow figure’s attack and trapped a pair of daggers in the ice. The fire ring raised a curtain of black fire towards the shadowy figure, forcing the assailant to give up the daggers and move back.

But suddenly, the black fire burst with extra power burning the shadowy figure’s back, who then let out a cry of pain. The shadowy figure raised its protective arcane energy to try and stop the black fire, but the black fire started to burn her true energy.

Immediately, the figure turned around and rushed towards Lu Ping with its true energy and divine revelation surging violently. Realizing what was happening, Lu Ping was shocked seeing its determination.

"Yue Ying, no!"

Kong Liang shouted, but there was nothing he could do to stop her.

"Leave, now!"

The shadowy figure, Yue Ying, spoke her final words as she lunged towards Lu Ping. Everyone present clearly knew her intention – a suicidal attack in order to break Lu Ping’s Primordial Star Array Formation so that Kong Liang could escape!

Kong Liang screamed in agony and his eyes were filled with madness. But he couldn’t bring himself to waste her effort, so he turned around and left in the opposite direction. Kong Liang dived into the sea, turning into a colossal Kun the size of an island, while the gourd attacked the spirit pearls in his path.

"Not so fast!"

Lu Ping swung his hand and the Golden Scale Sword shot right through Yue Ying’s body towards Kong Liang.

"Sword divine ability!"

Yue Ying’s voice was filled with reluctance as the Golden Scale Sword cut her into two halves before she even had the chance to explode her Golden Core. Her true energy leaked out of her body as she plunged into the sea below.

"No…!"

Kong Liang’s eyes were overtaken with sorrow, while he attacked the Primordial Star Array Formation to no avail. He rammed the edge of the array formation but he only managed to shake the formation slightly.

Lu Ping clasped his hands together; the twelve Primordial Stars cast with [Divine Smite] created dozens of holes on the Kun’s body, painting the sea red with his blood.

Then, Lu Ping waved his hand and the Kun was slashed into two halves. The Golden Core inside the Kun dispersed in the wind. The true energy in the Golden Core had collapsed back into spiritual energy and was returned to nature.

Clearly, Kong Liang knew that Lu Ping wouldn’t let him live, so he didn’t even consider the option of escaping with his Golden Core. However, he also didn’t want to leave his Golden Core behind for his enemy to use.

Lu Ping shook his head seeing the loss of the Golden Core, but at least he got to keep Kong Liang’s Kun body and Yue Ying’s Shadow Fish body. He also collected their blood and stored it inside a jade bottle.

After that, he swiftly cleaned up the battlefield and left the scene as a stream of water in the sea.

The battle definitely couldn’t be hidden, especially with the immense wave of spiritual energy let out from Kong Liang’s Golden Core. Hence, Lu Ping had to leave before anyone arrived. Not to mention that the Kun race would definitely have Kong Liang’s soul lamp, so his death couldn’t be hidden at all.

As a valued talent in the monster race, especially as a member of one of the three royal races, Kong Liang’s position in the monster race was very high. Lu Ping understood what sort of impact his death would bring to the monster race.

Fifteen minutes after Lu Ping had left, there were already monster Enlightened Masters arriving at the scene. However, Lu Ping had already removed all the clues, the monster Enlightened Masters only knew that a battle took place here and nothing more.

Among the monster Enlightened Masters, there was one in black clothes with sharp teeth. It was Enlightened Master Sui Ya who had invited Kong Liang to his cave-dwelling tonight.

He looked around carefully but didn’t follow the others back to their own cave-dwelling. Instead, he flew towards Kong Liang’s cave-dwelling.

Meanwhile, Lu Ping sneaked out of the monster race territory and reached Silver Sword Island by daylight. Then, he returned to the cave-dwelling he had rented and settled down.

The seven-colored gourd, a fan mystic treasure, a stone jar of spirit water, a bottle of spirit water, a few jade scrolls, some junk including medicinal pellets, spirit stones, and spirit herbs. Lu Ping quickly searched through Kong Liang’s interspatial ring and was disappointed that he didn’t find the thing he was after.

Lu Ping sighed and moved on to search Yue Ying’s interspatial bracelet. From the battle, Yue Ying seemed to be an important person to Kong Liang.

Yue Ying had a pair of dagger mystic instruments and a black robe that was a special stealth mystic treasure, but sadly it had been broken by the Golden Scale Sword. Other than that, there was also a stone jar.

Lu Ping opened the stone jar and immediately smelled a fragrance that made him overjoyed. It was the Inebriant Purified Water, exactly what he was after!

Lu Ping initially thought that Kong Liang would use the Inebriant Purified Water for himself, he had never thought that Kong Liang would give it to Yue Ying instead.

Lu Ping’s [Tri-Pristine True Vision] was lacking Inebriant Purified Water. Ater he used it to wash his eyes, he would have successfully cultivated a vision mini divine ability!

When he learned that Kong Liang had Inebriant Purified Water, he had immediately planned to kill him. He only put that plan into action now because he was finally strong enough.

Lu Ping had raised his cultivation base to the Third Layer Core Forging Realm thanks to the help of the Heart Forging Pellet. After doing so, he had spent the past three years consolidating his cultivation base and engraving the second Mystical Inscriptions on the Primordial Stars.

Only after that did he consider himself capable of killing Kong Liang. Inebriant Purified Water was hard to come by, if he missed it now, he might have never come across it. Hence, Kong Liang had to die.
