Chapter 393: Willpower Tribulation

Boom!

The portal behind Grey collapsed violently as he and the fragment shot back into Blue Star with the portal to the abyss completely collapsing.

Eterna was naturally notified of this unexpected collapse of the portal. As soon as Grey appeared, she shot forward to inquire about it, but to her surprise, she realized that Grey was blinking with multi-colored light as a higher existence was slowly descending onto the mortal world to balance the universe once that had been tilted.

"Breakthrough." Eterna mumbled as she clapped her hands and immediately, spatial nodes stretched apart as she forcefully teleported Grey away from Blue Star.

As someone at the strength of pseudo fifth rank, she could easily do such a thing, of course that is under the assumption Grey himself allowed it and he did without any problems.

Both Eterna’s and Grey’s figures flickered along with the fragment as they arrived in the void.

"Thanks for the assist." The fragment shot towards Eterna as it revolved around her.

"You are...?" Eterna was surprised. "Heavenly Dao?"

The fragment simply nodded and got to the matter. "I suggest we put a barrier around Blue Star or his powers will completely swallow it whole."

Eterna nodded, fully agreeing with the fragment. Information layer currents formed around the outer layer of Blue Star and a barrier made out of a turbulence from the information layer was formed, separating it from outer space.

"Not bad." The fragment commented as it deployed several heavenly barriers as well. "This guy, he’s way too reckless." The fragment shook its head. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Grey was greedily devouring away planets without pause and as a result a higher being had taken notice of them and chased after them. But at the same time, Grey was quick with his actions. He easily steered away from the expert’s descension and even managed to revoke the portal from its world breaking source power in a very little amount of time. So he couldn’t blame him either.

Crackle! Boom!

As the fragment finished musing, the world completely changed as the chilling tribulation power descended. This time, it didn’t manifest in the outside world.

"Hmm?" Eterna looked around her. She could clearly hear the tribulation and even sense it, but how come she couldn’t perceive it?

"It’s a mental tribulation." The fragment, seeing her confusion, spoke. "He has reached Willpower Tribulation Level in his newly forged nexus path."

"A new path?" Eterna’s expression shifted. She knew there were massive changes made to the nexus path since the majority of them had converted from the top three paths to the nexus path after Grey’s little show. She had already seen everything since she got revived.

While they were musing, within Grey’s mind, disorder and destruction was brewing. His mind body flew across his immensely sized mind palace which had rapidly begun to tremble from the weight of the tribulation up above.

"Tch, unbelievable. To think I would actually get sabotaged." Grey mumbled under his breath as psionic nexus energy stirred up from his sea of consciousness and mind palace all at once.

He stretched his right hand out towards the tribulation power up above.

Crackle! Boom!

Immediately, the psionic energy and the tribulation power crashed. Grey wasn’t trying to destroy the tribulation. Instead, he was testing its purity and filtering its chaotic will.

"That wasn’t the abyssal god, but a fifth ranker?" Grey frowned, his thoughts drifting back to the encounter. The life level he felt was undeniably of the fifth genetic limiter, meaning the other party was a fifth ranker, but his powers on the other hand was something Grey had never felt before.

"I think not even a peak fifth ranker can match that power, what was it?" Grey was deep in thought. Only now did he realize that he knew nothing of the fifth rank, only that one required an Origin Core and that it was the first transcendence. He needed to understand more about a fifth ranker after this.

With that in mind, another tribulation struck, even more fiercely. Having gauged its nature, Grey completely retracted his psionic defenses. He needed the pure destruction of the tribulation to strike the mind palace directly to trigger its expansion process.

Boom!

The unfiltered tribulation power struck the mind palace with immense power. Cracks formed along the mental walls, but instead of crumbling, the palace greedily absorbed the tribulation energy and began expanding outward.

Light converged across Grey’s vision as he was suddenly transported into a void, a side effect of the mental impact. Within the void, a splitting copy of himself manifested.

"You are usele..." The clone of himself had a twisted expression as it began to start by calling him useless.

However, before it could even finish its words, the clone vanished into nothingness.

"Heart demons don’t work on me." Grey said with a cold smile forming on his face. "I’m a teenager."

The void broke apart as the tribulation up above also swiftly vanished. As he was right now, these tribulations couldn’t do anything to him. He was cheating his way through the system, using the tribulation’s own destructive force to forge his mind palace into something greater.

Before, his mind powers were lagging behind, but they had now finally caught up to his body and energy levels.

Whrmm! Blrrmm! Thruuuum!

The Mind Palace and the sea of consciousness began to rapidly expand as Grey was ejected out. In outer space, densely packed psionic energy rushed outward, causing the surrounding void to heavily shift and change.

Inside the Moon, Edward was completely motionless as he felt the entire lunar surface shaking. He had a deathly pale look on his face as he observed what was happening out in the void.

If he could move his limbs, he would have already begun praying.

What the hell? Why did he choose this planet to overtake?

Fuck, he wanted to dig a hole and bury himself inside it. He had even promised his wife that he would gift her this planet for a wedding anniversary, and now he didn’t know whether he would even make it to the wedding anniversary at this point.

There was an absolute monster who was not even eighteen years old reaching the fifth rank on this planet.

Mind you, this teenager was the same age as his sons and daughters!

And he was stronger than him!
