New World, New Life: I Became A Bigshot In The Ancient World-Chapter 297: I WANT HER
"Vivian Quentin?" Aristia asked, feeling surprised.
But that surprise soon faded.
Some time ago at a banquet , she had asked Vivian Quentin to give her information on Carolyn Cornwell.
She didn’t actually need the information from her, after all, she had already had Millie tell Owen to do so and had already received the information. It was just a test.
She opened it to see what Vivian had discovered. Vivian’s writing was short and straight to the point.
To Princess Aristia,
I did what you told me to.
Carolyn Cornwell is the only daughter of Baron Cornwell. Unlike what was said about her being the lost daughter from him and his dead wife, she is his illegitimate daughter from his lover.
Carolyn was found a few months ago by the Baron after her mother died.
Aristia looked up from the letter. [It’s the same thing Owen discovered.]
She was just about to put the book down when she caught sight of Vivian’s next words.
But the events between that is blank. Aside from this, I can’t find anything else. I apologise if I’ve disappointed you, princess Aristia.
From Vivian Quentin.
Aristia placed the letter down after reading the last word.
Vivian Quentin... paid attention to detail. She would give her credit for that.
Not everyone would have paid attention to this minor detail as there not being any information about Carolyn Cornwell during the period after her mother’s death before her father found her.
Owen, being capable as he was, had also told her this when he investigated.
The book she had read in her dreams didn’t mention it either. It was strange.
But thinking of Vivian, the edges of her lips curled up and she looked at Millie who was already watching her.
What Vivian had done was impressive. Not everyone could be Owen.
"Yes. I want her."

Three days later, Aristia and Owen went back to Willows Haven to pick up the twins.
Since she had no classes today, she had gone immediately after the training with Hugh and breakfast.
At this early time of the day when the sun was still rising, there were no children outside.
Aristia didn’t want to be loud, so she had Lucas park the carriage outside the gate while they entered on foot.
Soon, they stood in front of the building.
Owen pulled at the door, but it didn’t open. The door was still locked.
Aristia took out a spare key and handed it to Owen. Owen collected the key, using it to unlock the door.
The occupants of the building were just waking up.
Dahlia and Dorothy were both at home and hadn’t yet left for the restaurant.
They were aware that Aristia was coming today.
After speaking with them and hearing that everything was ready, they went to the twins’ room.
In Heidi and Penelope’s room.
"Are you sure we’ve packed everything?" Penelope asked.
Heidi nodded. "Yes, I’m sure. There isn’t much to pack anyway. And this is the third time you’ve asked this question!" She said, exasperatedly.
"I can’t help it! Ugh!" Penelope groaned.
"Relax, Penny." Heidi said.
Just then, a knock sounded on the door.
The both of them immediately turned to look at the door, as if they could see who was on the other side.
"Is it the princess?" Penelope asked in a whisper.
"I don’t know. I didn’t expect her to come this early." Heidi said with a shake of her head.
"It’s a good thing we packed last night." Penelope said, feeling relieved.
Suddenly remembering that whoever it was was still waiting since they hadn’t granted permission, she quickly replied.
"Come in!"
The door opened and the twins saw that it was indeed the princess as they had guessed and with her was the boy that had come with her before.
"Hello, Your Highness." They bowed in unison, making sure to control their tones.
"Hello, Heidi and Penelope." Aristia nodded.
"I can see you’re both ready." Aristia said, looking behind them into the room at the bag placed on top of the bed that seemed to be packed.
Their bag now was obviously Fuller than when they first came here.
"Yes. We’re ready." The twins replied, following her gaze.
Heidi turned around and went to grab the bag.
"Are we leaving now, princess?" She asked.
Aristia nodded. Since the twins were ready, then it was time to go.
She tipped her head. "Let’s go."
The twins quickly followed.
They met Dahlia and Dorothy.
"Good morning, Dahlia and Dorothy." The twins greeted.
Dahlia and Dorothy responded to the greeting before turning to Aristia.
"We’re leaving." Aristia said.
The sisters nodded.
"Alright. I’ll find something to say to the children about their absence." Dahlia said.
Heidi and Penelope suddenly bowed to the sisters.
"Thank you for taking care of us."
Dahlia and Dorothy smiled.
"You don’t have to." Dorothy said.
"It’s our duty." Dahlia said.
Even though they had originally been housing and taking care of homeless children before meeting Aristia, it was still a privilege that Aristia had appointed them as those in charge of Willows Haven.
To Aristia, there were no better people to appoint. They had been taking care of children on their own accord without being asked to or paid by anyone. It was done with unselfish intent.
Them being paid to do it now was just a bonus to them because they were ready to do it without pay just as they had been doing.
"Goodbye."
With a final farewell, Heidi and Penelope left the building with Aristia and Owen, following them past the gate and into the carriage.
Just as the carriage began moving, Aristia turned to the girls.
"Have you eaten?"
She didn’t expect them to have done so because the children in Willows Haven were just waking up.
Some things would still need to be done before they could eat breakfast like bathing, cleaning their rooms, and doing some light cleaning for the older ones. The chef would also have to prepare breakfast.
Her thoughts were confirmed when the sisters shook her head in denial.
"No. We haven’t eaten yet."
[We could wait until we’re home before giving them something to eat... or we could have breakfast at the restaurant.]
In the end, she chose the restaurant.
She opened the partition.
"Lucas, please take us to The Vanilla Courtyard."
"Okay, princess." Lucas replied from over his shoulder.
Aristia closed the partition.
’The Vanilla Courtyard,’ Heidi and Penelope exchanged glances.
They had never been to The Vanilla Courtyard, but their aunt and uncle, along with their children had been there a few times.
They could only stay at home doing chores and then hear endless praises spill from their cousins’ mouths about the establishment.
They only had the opportunity of tasting food made in The Vanilla Courtyard when Dahlia amd Dorothy brought back to Willows Haven food from the restaurant, and it was simply divine.
It was the best food they had ever eaten.
Thus when they heard the princess say that they were going to The Vanilla Courtyard, they were excited beyond words.
"Put on these cloaks," Owen said, handing them the spare cloaks they usually kept in the carriage in case of unexpected events or emergencies.
The girls were confused, but still obediently wore the cloaks.
The carriage finally stopped in front of The Vanilla Courtyard. Aristia and her companions got down from the carriage.
The restaurant already had a few people inside, mostly commoners.
Neither Dahlia nor Dorothy were at the restaurant yet, but that didn’t mean the restaurant wouldn’t be open. Aristia had a few people she trusted who were given the tax of opening the restaurant when either of the sisters hadn’t shown up.
Together, they entered the restaurant.
The twins’ mouths were wide open in shock and awe. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
They followed Owen and Aristia dumbly as they climbed the regal stairs to the first floor, marveling at the grandeur of the place, and at the finely uniformly dressed men and women working around with praise of food.
But when they reached the first floor, their jaws nearly cracked open and fell on the floor— the shiny, glass-like, polished, obviously expensive marble floors.
Their eyes took in every detail. If they thought the ground floor was Grand enough, then the first floor was a whole different level.
With everything they had seen, it was no wonder people wanted to praise it to the ends of the Earth.
Aristia chose a table and took a seat and they all followed.
Immediately after, the waiter assigned to their table came to wait on them.
It was a female waiter. She carried a paper and pencil.
After bowing slightly, she said with a smile as she handed them menus.
"Your Highness, my Lord, my ladies. What would you like to order?"
Aristia and Owen quickly chose dishes.
The waitress turned to the sisters, waiting for them to order.
"Is something wrong?" Aristia asked when she noticed Heidi and Penelope just staring blankly at the menus.
