Naruto: This Genius is Somewhat Ordinary-Chapter 345
"In the name of the Sixth Hokage!"
Even facing five legends at once, Fujimoto Tōma’s voice carried not the slightest trace of fear.
For a brief moment, the figures before him seemed to glimpse a familiar silhouette in his stance.
"So this is Konoha’s Sixth Hokage..." Uzumaki Mito smiled gently. "It seems our village has found a worthy successor."
Golden chains burst forth from behind her, dozens upon dozens of them, radiating sealing chakra.
Adamantine Sealing Chains.
The Uzumaki clan’s signature technique.
Uchiha Fugaku stared at Tōma, envy flickering in his eyes.
That position... the one he had dreamed of his entire life.
And yet, this boy had reached it so young.
As Fugaku listened to Tōma’s declaration, he let out a quiet sigh. Perhaps now he understood why he could never become Hokage. It wasn’t just because he was an Uchiha. His resolve alone hadn’t been enough.
When Fugaku opened his eyes again, they had changed.
His Mangekyō Sharingan spun, tomoe linking together into blade-like patterns. From a distance, they resembled blood-red shuriken.
Dark chakra surged around him.
A colossal Susanoo manifested, towering over the battlefield.
Beside it, a crimson, crow-tengu-shaped Susanoo rose in response.
Uchiha Itachi’s.
Though his consciousness had been erased, his power remained.
"Ohhh! I don’t really get it, but I’m fired up now!" Might Dai roared.
He clasped his hands together.
The ground trembled.
"Sixth Gate: Gate of Joy. Open!"
A violent surge of green chakra exploded from his body, veins bulging as blood rushed through him.
He had opened the Sixth Gate from the start.
"Tch... this just got troublesome," Tōma muttered.
He narrowed his eyes as several black metallic spheres drifted out around him, spreading to key positions.
"Oh, before things really start," Orochimaru said lightly, "allow me to remind you all. This Sixth Hokage has mastered the space-time technique developed by the Second Hokage and perfected by the Fourth."
"Flying Thunder God."
Shock rippled through the group.
That name carried weight.
Tōma shot Orochimaru an annoyed glance but said nothing. Information mattered in battle, but he wasn’t relying on secrecy to win.
Hatake Sakumo observed the others silently.
Should I transform too?
No. He didn’t have anything flashy like that.
The next instant, Sakumo vanished.
Like a bolt of lightning, he appeared before Tōma, chakra short blade drawn. Lightning crackled along its edge as it stabbed straight for Tōma’s heart.
Simple. Fast. Lethal.
Exactly what the White Fang was known for.
Tōma’s pupils reflected the blade.
Clang!
Steel met steel.
Tōma had already drawn the Inkshadow Sword, intercepting the strike head-on. The impact sent Sakumo flying backward, hurled away by overwhelming force.
Tōma didn’t chase.
He couldn’t.
The sky was already filled with incoming attacks.
Adamantine chains flooded toward him.
Itachi’s Yasaka Magatama screamed through the air.
Fugaku’s Susanoo hurled black, flame-wreathed kunai.
Even Tōma couldn’t take that head-on.
He vanished.
All attacks slammed into the spot he’d occupied, detonating in a thunderous explosion that shook the earth and sent dust billowing skyward.
Good, Tōma thought. This helps.
In chaos like this, numbers mattered less. Someone like Might Dai, who relied purely on taijutsu, would struggle to navigate the battlefield.
But the chains didn’t care.
They cut through the dust and surged toward him regardless.
Tōma vanished again.
So this is Uzumaki sensing, he noted. Impressive.
Guided by the chains, the two Susanoo advanced like walking disasters.
Sakumo recovered instantly, slashing along the chains’ trajectory. Dozens of compressed wind blades tore through the smoke, slicing it apart.
Tōma’s thoughts stayed razor-sharp.
I don’t know if they can use Izanami, he admitted to himself. But I’m not letting them get close enough to try.
He disappeared again.
Several of his Flying Thunder God markers were already bound by the chains. Against a single opponent, that wouldn’t matter. Against five working together, it was dangerous.
Then—
Boom!
A shockwave blasted the remaining dust away.
Tōma’s eyes widened slightly.
"The Seventh Gate... the Gate of Wonder?"
Might Dai stood in the distance, blue chakra surging violently around him. The pressure alone had cleared the battlefield.
Alright, Tōma conceded internally. I underestimated him.
Dai vanished and reappeared in front of Tōma, fist swinging.
It missed.
Tōma reappeared elsewhere.
The moment he materialized, a chakra blade flashed toward him.
Sakumo.
He had been waiting.
But while Sakumo was fast, Tōma’s teleportation was faster.
He vanished again.
Back and forth it went. Sakumo began predicting the locations of the Flying Thunder God markers. On Tōma’s next teleport, wind blades erupted toward every marked point.
Tōma appeared—and calmly sliced once.
His own wind blade collided with Sakumo’s, canceling it out.
He surveyed the battlefield.
Most of his markers were gone. The chains had locked them down one by one. Sakumo’s attacks were growing sharper. The two Uchiha remained untouchable. Dai was moving faster than ever.
For the first time, Tōma was purely on the defensive.
Fine, he thought. Then let’s change the scale.
His form appeared high in the sky.
Below, the five didn’t hesitate. Attacks surged upward.
Storm clouds gathered instantly.
Lightning writhed across Tōma’s body as magnetism lifted him higher.
"Let’s see how strong you really are," he murmured.
"Sage Art: Lightning Release. Kirin!"
A colossal lightning beast roared into existence, charging straight down from the heavens. It ignored every obstruction. Chains, magatama, wind blades—all were erased in its path.
The impact drowned the battlefield in blinding white light.
Even Orochimaru had to shield his eyes.
He laughed.
"Yes... this is more like it, Tōma-kun."
Tōma grimaced slightly.
If this were my real body, this would already be over, he thought. But as a chakra construct, I can’t afford a single hit.
The light hadn’t fully faded when he moved again.
A metallic projectile formed before him, lightning raging around it.
"Ninjutsu: Railgun."
At the same time, he formed a single seal.
"Ninjutsu: Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"
Meteor-like streaks rained down, explosions chaining together as the battlefield screamed under the assault.
Finally—
The chains shattered.
Tōma exhaled slowly.
Those were the biggest problem.
Without the chains, a Flying Thunder God marker dropped near Uzumaki Mito.
Tōma appeared beside her instantly, a Rasengan already formed.
"My apologies, Mito-sama."
She smiled kindly.
"It’s alright. I shouldn’t trouble the living any longer."
The Rasengan struck. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Before sealing her, Tōma spoke softly.
"I’ll send you to see Tsunade-sensei."
Her eyes softened with nostalgia.
"Thank you, Hokage."
He transferred her away.
The battlefield cleared.
In that instant, a blade flashed.
Sakumo.
But this time, Tōma smiled.
With the chains gone and the Susanoo shattered, he could finally fight back.
He raised his hand.
The Inkshadow Sword formed.
"Wind Release: Shatterspace Slash."
His blade fell.
Space itself seemed to crack.
Sakumo’s sword snapped in two.
Tōma’s strike continued without slowing.
One clean cut.
