Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 78 - Seventy-Eight:His Jealousy.
Lucifer paced up and down his room, he was in deep thoughts. He was going through what his son, Ramiel, had told him about Adrik.
It was totally unbelievable that the ruler of hell, Lucifer. The most dangerous creature to exist in the underworld, was having a second thought about doing what the prophecy had instored for his son.
He had watched him grow, ever since he was a little kid. Adrik has always been a special kid, his mother had no idea what she had put herself into when she had slept with him that fateful night in the club.
Marilyn Monroe.
That fateful night, she was desperate and he was on an undercover mission that night when he crashed into a drunk Marilyn.
He wasn’t one to be fascinated towards humans, but there was something about her calling him towards her. Maybe it had to do with the thrill, that she wanted him even after he warned her that he was a dangerous man.
After having the seer tell him about a special child, that would bear his mark and together with the child of the first witch, who instigated the first fight in heaven would bear a child. The Antichrist. That child would be his weapon against the Overruler.
Thousands of years had passed, but the war between the crystal palace of heaven, and the underworld had not ceased, rather it was getting more hostile than ever, and he, being the proud person he was, he wasn’t going to be the first person to make peace.
Why?
He was not a saint. He is the devil. Evil is Lucifer, and with the Antichrist he would make the world, and the people in it to give him the respect he deserves, he didn’t care how long it would take. But eventually the prophecy would prevail.
So no matter how much Adrik denies his birthright, everything he does would always bring him back to his true nature. A creature of darkness. The crown prince of hell.
He didn’t blame him for acting the way he did, and abandoned his brothers who had welcomed him with warm hearts. Although, he knew that that was just a pretense on their part. He knew his children too well to know that they were anything but nice.
Especially Abbadon, it was disheartening that he isn’t the chosen one. He expected a lot from him, and if it comes down to who was capable of doing what he wants, without hesitating that would be Abbadon.
Adrik is stubborn, but it was all his fault. Maybe, if he had took him away from Marilyn after finding out that she was pregnant with his demon seed, then things wouldn’t be complicated as it is now.
But nevertheless, there was nothing that was impossible for him to do. As a matter of, he has stayed in the dark and watched him grow into the man he was.
His first mistake was falling in love with that pathetic human, he didn’t remember her name again but he was glad that she was out of the picture. Adrik wouldn’t have met ’The Child’ if she was still in the picture.
So, that’s why he did what he did. To the outside world and normal eyes, they all think that the fight between both families was any normal malice, but he tampered with the darkness in the heart of the two men.
Especially Alex Singh. He isn’t any different from him. That’s why he had provided a ring of protection around him, and his son because he knew that the first thing Adrik would be doing, once he found out about his powers, was going to hurt him for killing the pathetic human.
A frown settled on his face, when he noticed a presence in the same room with him. He turned to settle his eyes on that of angry red ones that belonged to Abbadon.
"Why did you choose him?" Abbadon asked, his chest heaving up to see how he was taking out his pent up frustration, by asking his father a stupid question.
"You are drunk." Lucifer’s nose flared up when he noticed the smell of alcohol coming from him, "You need to rest." Lucifer added, turning his back to him but Abbadon scoffed, before slamming his hands down in the center table in anger, and it went up in flames.
"Stop treating me like a nuisance. I have done nothing but be faithful to you father!" Abbadon shouted, and that didn’t settle well with Lucifer because he transformed into his full form, his large hand grabbed Abbadon’s neck, and slammed him against the wall. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"You dare not question, nor raise your filthy voice at me. The prophecy had been there for a long time, it’s very unfortunate that you aren’t the chosen one. But that doesn’t make you less of who you are." Lucifer confessed.
Abbadon scoffed at his words, before raising his half closed hooded eyes up to meet his father’s angry ones " That’s interesting to hear, because at this point i don’t know who i am again."
"You behave childishly, now i see reasons why you weren’t the chosen one. You are greedy, son." Lucifer said, releasing him and moving away from him before settling back into his human form.
"You have always taught me to take without hesitation. What makes you think that i would care about any fucked up prophecy? Tell me father, when have you been one to follow the rules?" Abbadon asked, he smirked at his father who was gradually turning softer, ever since the talk of Adrik filled every part of hell. That irked him off.
"I would warn you to change your mind about the step you are about to take. You were already hurt from trying to mark the witch’s daughter as yours. It’s a luck that your brain is functioning, but it’s a warning son. Stay away from Adrik." Lucifer spat. His tone turned serious, making Abbadon know that he isn’t bluffing with his words.
He knew his father, he wouldn’t mind hurting him just for Adrik. But the jealousy running through him couldn’t allow to see the bigger picture for all of this, which is getting Adrik to mate with The witch’s daughter and get her to birth their messiah. The Antichrist.
