Chapter 55: Chapter Fifty-Five: He Couldn’t Trust Hanna.

Hendrix hasn’t been able to stay away from anything that had to do with Narika, since after she had walked out on him. Call him desperate, but he was just following his heart and what his heart wants is nothing but the young girl to look his way.

It wasn’t typical of someone like him to go so low, leaving his work and traveling to the countryside just so he can see a girl that was certainly not interested in him.

Maybe it had to do with the fact that she was Mario’s child, he couldn’t see any defect in her. Even when she had talked rudely to him. He couldn’t put much thought into her words. She was crying.

Since their first encounter, it seems like fate has been playing a cruel game with him, making him always meet Narika in a bad time.

The young man was so deep in thoughts this early morning, that he had forgotten so soon that his grandparents were coming over to join them for breakfast today.

He was staring in plain space, while his mind drifted to only one place. Narika. His Bambi. She’s the only girl who hasn’t looked at him differently after finding out who he really was.

Most girls in the city would suck him dry any opportunity they get, of his money and break his hearts afterwards since it seems love was overrated in the city. Also, the fact that he was handsome and successful attracted fake attention to him.

Hence he had come to understand that this was the price to pay, being so successful at his age. But leaving that aside, he craved to be loved. He wanted to experience that feeling with someone genuine, who wouldn’t mind how they act or talk around him because they were afraid of what he’s going to do if they went out of place.

Narika Singh, his employees daughter filled that space. She was the full definition of perfection. She just doesn’t know it yet, but a sane man wouldn’t hesitate to look twice at her if she passed by.

With her long red hair cascading down her shoulders, he itched to run his hands through it. Her brown eyes highlight her caucasian spotless skin. She could top the magazine cover for beauty queen of the country if she ever tried modeling.

Tomorrow town didn’t deserve a beauty like her, talkmore of the coffee shop where he had done his investigation to find out that she was fired, because of the accusation that was following her.

The people were blind, because it’s not going to take anything but to look into her innocent eyes, to know that she was no killer. She doesn’t look the type that would hurt a fly. That’s to show how pure and special his Bambi was.

What topped his curiosity about her, was the part where he had come to suspect that Mario was keeping something away from him. It’s not everyday you see a family man leave his family behind and come to the city to make ends meet.

Although it wasn’t his place to judge the living conditions, but they were far better off than the normal average family living here in Mainland. So, he can only guess that it had to do with something else more important that had them down there.

Narika didn’t even buy the thoughts of leaving when he brought it up, but Hendrix understood that she wasn’t in her right mood at that time.

So with that being said, he knew that the only way he could have her over in the city was to offer her a job. She’s jobless and he’s in need of a personal assistant and what her file says about her topping in business administration, had his interest in her working for him grow bigger.

But firstly, he would have to talk it out with her father. Although he hopes that the man doesn’t find it insulting, or suspect that he had a thing for his child.

He wanted to take things slow one at a time, until he’s ready enough to make it known to him that he’s interested in his daughter. Narika wasn’t his normal fuck and dump buddies.

She’s precious, so she needs to be taken tenderly with utmost care. He wasn’t in no rush. She has no boyfriend. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

A big smile formed on his face looking at the file that stated it. There was this happiness radiating off him knowing that no man, had been able to touch her first before him. No man can be able to take her the same way he thinks highly of her.

So until she’s ready to open her heart to anyone. He’s going to be by her side, waiting patiently while making it known to her that he’s serious about her.

His family would love her. They already consider Mario as family so it wouldn’t be hard accepting Narika. Like who the hell won’t love her?

He dropped the file on his table, before taking up his tie to prepare for his day today. He doesn’t know if Mario was at work yet, but he needs to tell him about his plan and see what he says about it.

Once it’s settled and she starts working for him. He would invite the family over for dinner. Hendrix couldn’t help but smile at that thought.

"What has you smiling like this?" Someone said by the door, and he jerked in shock where he stood in front of his bed.

"Seriously Hanna, a knock was all you needed." He told his sister, before picking up his jacket.

"Well i did but you were so lost in thoughts and didn’t hear that. So tell me who’s the one behind that smile?" His younger sister bothered him, coming closer to stand in front of him.

She’s dreaming if she thinks that he’s going to tell her about Narika yet. Hanna is such a loud mouth. He doesn’t know if she’s going to keep his secret until he’s ready to tell their mother.

"There’s no one, stop imagining things Hanna. It’s unhealthy for the brain," He said moving away from her, but that was a huge mistake because the next seconds he turned, she was holding the file containing Narika’s information and photo.

"Oh my god! She’s so pretty," Hanna exclaimed, trying to get her name but Hendrix snatched the file from her.

"Leave Hanna, you are being a pest." He ordered.

"Who is she? Your girlfriend? When are we meeting her?" Hanna asked persistently, making Hendrix more annoyed with her question.

"Hanna, now!" He bellowed, making the young girl frown at his hostility before leaving but not without saying.

"You are so boring,"

Once she was out, he clutched the file to his chest. So much for trying to keep Narika a secret until they were a thing.

"I will see you soon, Bambi." He pecked her picture, before moving along to the secret wall behind the shelf, typing in his pass cord before entering inside. He couldn’t trust Hanna.
