Chapter 142: Chapter One Hundred And Forty-Two:She Died At The Hands Of Her Loved One.

Adrik thought that he was dreaming, Polina was standing right infront of him. She’s here, she’s real! She’s not dead.

He still held Narika secured to his body, he didn’t want to let go of her irrespective of having his beloved right here with him. But ever since he encountered Lucifer and knew what exactly he was capable of, he didn’t want to make any more mistakes than he has already done.

Oregon didn’t tell him anything about her being alive, he had had his suspicions ever since his stay in Oregon’s palace. But yet, seeing her right now didn’t help anything to soothe the anger emitting off him for what his father had done.

She’s not real. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Polina is not real, even if she is he knew that her being her has something to do with his father. So, instead of running into her arm at first sight, he withdraw back while waiting for her reaction.

She looked empty. The look on her face didn’t give him anything to say that she’s hurt by his reaction towards seeing her. Her eyes were empty, they were devoid of human emotions, thus making him confirm that truly she’s not her real self. She’s nothing but an empty vessel controlled by his father.

"Adrik,I..." Polina came closer, she tried to strike a conversation with him right here where thousands of his father’s army were on standby, waiting for Amos, to release the order to hurt him.

She didn’t care about being hurt in the process, and why exactly was she standing with his enemies if truly she knew exactly what she wanted from him?

So, he spoke to her harshly." Stay away." He warned her, and he was serious about that. In as much as she’s carrying his beloved face, he wouldn’t promise not to hurt her if she dares to go out of her place to distract his attention from the enemy right here.

"Baby, am here to help." She still came forward, even though his red eyes calculated her every movement. Polina saw the way he was struggling to believe what he was seeing. He was trying hard not to believe that she’s real, but that’s not any of her concern. Her main priority was to successfully distract him, so they could take Narika away from him.

She felt disgusted and jealous at the sight of her niece in his arms, that’s where she belonged but that was in the past. Right now all that mattered was making her new master happy with her, and that would entail she gains Adrik’s trust right now to come closer to him.

"You are not real. You are dead. My father is just trying to play with my mind. He sent you here to do just that." Adrik confessed, as he tried hard enough not to bash her head against the wall just to give out of she’s real, since he couldn’t sense any demon essence in her, nor did she survive off the life force of a ghost. She’s just there..she’s just human.

His beast roared in anger, reminding him that they still have bigger problems like taking Narika away from here and looking for help. She hasn’t moved an inch in his arm, thus contributing to his frustration right now.

So without wasting any more time, his hands moved forward to wrap around Polina’s neck, hoisting her high up in the air just like he had done to Sakura moments ago.

"She’s distracting you, Adrik. We belong together. I’m here now baby," Pokina said, even though at the brink of death she still played her path well, almost making it convincing for Adrik, whose hands that were wrapped around his throat started to loosen when he stared at her eyes.

Just like Sakura, Adrik would have to understand what exactly it is about him that has women flocking all around him, like the stupid ones like Polina who didn’t know that even before she tried sticking that injection at the side of his neck, he was fast enough to know her true intention.

He glared at her hand that stood hanging in the air that held the syringe, while she whimpered when he heard her bones breaking under his stare.

Her eyes shot up at him in hate, and he knew that Polina was long gone. She wasn’t the same woman he knew. His father has done well to corrupt every kind soul that comes his way.

"You can’t ..run away from your destiny. She wouldn’t love you, Adrik. Come back to your father and arrh!" Polina’s words were halted when he ripped her heart from her body, he watched the way her eyes shot up to him in surprise.

She didn’t know that he would do that sort of a thing to her, but Adrik knew that it was better to end this right now, it was better to end her pain so that she could rest. But that wasn’t debatable because her soul is going to rot in hell.

"Adrik.." she called, as she spat blood from her lips, the tears were rolling down her eyes but the beast in Adrik wasn’t up to hear her confess how sorry she is, before he pushed her body away from him and she fell to the ground, dead for real.

"Attack!!" Amos was too late to say that before he killed Polina, she was a mistake that shouldn’t have happened but all the best, he knew that she wasn’t going to last anyway with Lucifer. So, it was best to die at the hands of her loved one.

He watched from where he stood how Adrik destroyed everyone, and everything that stood in his path, that dared to stop him from leaving with Narika.

They stood no chance with the chosen ones, so instead of dying like a animal who stood no chance to raise even a finger at him. He turned to leave only to halt in his tracks by the grip on his throat and red eyes that looked at him in anger.

"Spare me, my lord. I was just carrying orders." Amos begged for his life, but no one knew what exactly Adrian had in mind when he left him, but not without telling him.

"Tell him i will be back, but not as his stupid son anymore but as an enemy who’s going to kill him." Adrik growled, before he disappeared into thin air with Narika in his arms, while he set out on a mission to get her still heart to start beating for him again.

Lucifer has crossed the line, and he was ready to go to war with him.
