Lucifer kicked open Oregon’s room door, and saw the way he sat up immediately on his bed, while the two ladies by his sides pulled the sheets up to cover their nakedness.

"My Lord, what..are you doing here?" Oregon asked, standing up since he was dressed before his eyes were focused on who was asleep in Lucifer’s arms.

The ladies were long gone, so it was just the three of them in his room before Lucifer carried Narika and came closer. He snapped his fingers and the bedsheets were changed into a new one before he placed her on the bed.

All this while, he hasn’t answered Oregon nor given him detailed information about what exactly was his plan bringing Narina here, when she should be at his place instead.

Rather, he pulled away a strand of her hair to look at her face more closely, beautiful. He commented under his breath, this action made Oregon wonder if he hasn’t lost his senses.

Yeah, Lucifer already didn’t have a brain, because if he did. He would put it into good work and remember that Narika belongs to Adrik, and she’s not one of those naive innocent girls who he had lured with his beauty to his bed.

Yet, here was looking at her the way Adrik would look at Narika, once he finds out that she’s here.

Oregon watched him pull away before he stretched his suit, he looked normal today. All these was it to impress Narika? He wanted to ask but emptied his mind when he realized that Lucifer could see what he’s thinking.

"How did you get her out of the Crystal palace, word have it that you haven’t made a move yet?" Oregon asked, looking away from him to see that at the side of Narika’s neck had some sort of mark there.

"We both know i have far many enemies, Oregon. It’s not just the crystal palace. Some of the rulers here aren’t working with me. So, you wouldn’t have think that i would actually announce the day i leave so publicly." Lucifer explained, without having to insult him this time around.

Maybe it’s because she was in a good mood, and he needed a favor from him. That’s why he’s treating him like a high ranked ruler like him, but apart from that, he’s an asshole.

"Where’s Sakura? I haven’t seen her much. I had expected her to change work formation since Adrik is no longer here." He added, and that made Oregon’s eyes snap at him instantly.

He knew that his niece and his son had some sort of history, but yet he stayed in the dark about it until now. Why?

"My Lord, I can explain. This has nothing to do with what Adrik is. Sakura has no idea about the prophecy and what Adrik is. They were mere acquaintances." He explained. Oregon swallowed a lump in his throat while he prayed that he doesn’t ask to see her.

"Not that it’s any of my business, I want to be assured that she wouldn’t do anything to harm Narika while she stays here for the time being." Lucifer moved towards her to see if she’s awake, but no! She’s still sleeping. He was now worried since the dosage he had injected her with the serum, which was mainly to switch her soul with that of Baram, isn’t working yet.

"May i ask why she’s staying..."

"Adrik doesn’t have to know that she’s here, he has to keep thinking that she’s still in Crystal palace." He thumped his feet impatiently on the floor, while this only made Oregon’s suspicion about him doing something to her grow stronger.

"You did something to her, didn’t you? Why is she asleep?"He boldly asked, if she’s going to stay here just like he said. He needed to know the details about what exactly is happening." Why can’t Adrik see her? You know that would mean tampering with the prophecy."

"You complain a lot, Oregon. Relax man, everything i do is for everyone’s benefit." He smiled at him.

"Lucifer, she’s human. You can do this without getting rid of her soul. You have taken much from that family, have pity on her poor mother at least." Oregon advised him, but what he didn’t know was that he had made up his mind a long time ago.

He was far lost in his greed to have everything, that he doesn’t see the consequences of his actions. If he continues this way, he would be forced to lose not just the war coming, but he would lose Adrik if he does this.

"Fine, I would be merciful enough to release Polina’s soul. Although, the young girl has been pretty much more useful than my whores." He snickered, which made Oregon nearly gag at his words.

But he didn’t see Lucifer walk up to him, before he started." I warned you Oregon. I would get rid of anything or anyone who stands in my way of winning this fight."

"Well, think of your family Lucifer. Everything doesn’t end with the war, when the war is over. You will miss the company of your loved ones. I know you don’t understand what loneliness truly means until you have no one to share your victory with." Oregon had to calm down to explain to him, and he was glad that he didn’t interrupt him until he backed away from him, while shaking his head in disagreement.

"Well, thats where you are wrong, Oregon. You think that i care about having anyone by my side?" He asked, smirking evilly.

"No. I don’t need anyone because i can buy your submission." He said, before flicking his fingers and Oregon was pushed to the floor, he knelt in front of him but that wasn’t enough.

He had him bow down too, while Oregon grunted in pain as he tried to counter attack him. But he’s Lucifer, and he’s just a mere protector of the ghost world.

"just like you are showing your submission right now. I can control each and everyone of you."

"Adrik is the next protector of hell, not you. Your reign has expired, Lucifer." Oregon spat out in pain, his words angered Lucifer.

The motherfucker was jealous of his own son!

"Worry about yourself, Oregon. Keep a good eye on the girl if you still want to live till the end of your reign." Lucifer released him, before he went towards Narika and said nothing before he disappeared.

While Oregon stood up and went towards the girl. He tried waking her up, but she’s in a deep slumber which is uncertain about who is going to wake up.
