Mythical Monster Evolution-Chapter 30: Notamonster Fangirl
Chapter 30: Notamonster Fangirl
’W-What is happening... why are they all dying around me?’ Lily thought, panicked. ’And why is it that their leader started talking about Notamonster...’
Lily didn’t know what to do, so she simply stood still, frozen. She had no idea if she would be next, but as the seconds passed, it seemed that whoever had killed those men was not after her.
"Pssst."
A sound suddenly echoed from the woods, catching Lily’s attention right away. It was barely a whisper, making it hard to pinpoint the exact location from where it came.
"Psst."
Then, just a few seconds later, another whisper echoed from the woods.
With Lily already glancing in the general direction, she was able to pinpoint that whoever had just made a noise was behind one tree in particular. It was the largest one near the Southern Entrance, and as she approached it, Lily remembered the purpose of her presence near this entrance.
She was supposed to meet her brother!
Right as she had this thought, the gears of her mind started turning as she tried to make sense of all the events that had just transpired.
’Did he see me getting approached by those guys and decide to kill them?’ Lily thought with a slight frown. ’Hm... no way, my brother isn’t a violent person.’
Actually, when she thought about it a little bit more, she remembered just how protective Kai could get when they were younger. Every time someone they did not know approached them, he would be extremely wary of them, analyzing everything that could be seen with the naked eye.
But then, there was still a major interrogation.
’When the guy died, he talked about Notamonster... and there’s no way that it’s my brother. He literally didn’t even know where he was in the world over a week ago. I doubt that he became the top player in a little under a week.’
Nevertheless, Lily dismissed her thoughts as she continued to walk in the tree’s direction with a smirk. She was finally able to see her brother within the game and play with him. It had been years since they had done something together, so being able to play with him once again was something that Lily would be eternally grateful for.
After a few more seconds, Lily reached the tree and walked behind it, only to find... no one. She looked around, but there was literally no one behind that tree.
"Pssst."
The same noise as earlier suddenly echoed in Lily’s mind. However, it was coming from the ground, making her look down, where she saw a black dragon that reached around her knees with a small fairy sitting on its shoulder.
"AHHH!" Lily screamed as she fell on her back because of how surprised she was.
It wasn’t her brother at all!

Kai, who was still in his form as a Nocturne Dragon, looked at his sister, who had just fallen on her back and started laughing at her.
This reaction was much better than anything that he had imagined beforehand. After all, Kai had made sure to keep the fact that he wasn’t a human in this game a secret from his sister. So, even now, she was probably thinking that she had been lured all alone to face a dragon.
Still, as Kai continued to laugh, he realized that there was still a major problem. They couldn’t communicate with one another.
’Hm... how do I add someone as a friend?’ Kai thought, unsure if this was even a feature for him, considering that he was a very special entity in this video game.
Nonetheless, as he thought of this, a video game menu appeared before him accompanied by a message.
[Would you like to send a friend request to Notamonster Fangirl?]
’Notamonster Fangirl? What type of name even is that?!’ Kai thought as he started to laugh even louder.
His very own sister had made her nickname based on his? What were the chances of that happening? And why wasn’t she embarrassed when she asked to add each other as friends?
"Y-You’re Notamonster?" Lily suddenly said as she couldn’t believe the name that had just appeared in the message.
Kai immediately showed her with one of his hands for her to be careful of how loud she spoke.
Realizing her mistake, Lily brought her voice down and continued, "Brother? Is that really you?"
Kai nodded, not even attempting to talk since all he could do was speak in the dragon tongue at the moment, and that would confuse his sister even more.
"Y-You’re Notamonster? But... what? How? Why are you a monster?"
Kai shrugged.
"Why didn’t you tell me anything?" Lily said with a frown. "You could have told me before I met you; I wouldn’t have been as surprised."
Kai just giggled silently. He was having a lot of fun right now. For the first time in years, he could finally annoy his sister as much as he wanted to.
Still, the one thing that annoyed him greatly was the fact he couldn’t speak to her at the moment. He could only communicate through body language. However, there was a chance that might change at one point because of the messages that had popped up when Kai had killed the players harassing his sister.
[You have killed Player KingSlayer123 (Lv.32)]
[You have devoured 0.001% of Human Bloodline.]
[You have killed Player KingSniper123 (Lv.21)]
[You have devoured 0.001% of Human Bloodline.]
[You have killed Player KingTank123 (Lv.20)]
[You have devoured 0.001% of Human Bloodline.]
The percentage of bloodline he obtained from each human was honestly depressing. However, that was a subject for another time since it was the message that appeared afterward that truly changed things.
[At 20% of accumulated Human Bloodline, you will be able to speak the Human Tongue.]
[At 50% of accumulated Human Bloodline, you will be able to form a Mana Core.]
[At 100% of accumulated Human Bloodline, you will be able to evolve into a Human.]
Kai had no idea why the system seemed to function a lot differently when it came to devouring humans. However, he was happy to see that he finally had a clear target for the future. However, to reach that target, the amount of humans he would have to kill would be extreme, and he wasn’t sure if it was a price that he was ready to pay.
To reach 100% of accumulated Human Bloodline at this current rate, Kai would have to kill 100,000 human beings.
And by that point, wouldn’t every single human in this world have heard about him and despised him...
