Myriad Devils-Chapter 334: Skar
Under the rays of sunlight, each grain of sand radiated an intense atmosphere. They seemed to be gurgling lava escaping molten rocks, on the brink of exploding with waves of heat.
For as far as the eye could see, there was only a vast desert, dunes filling the vision. These dunes were akin to sky-reaching mountains that held up the Heavens for mortal kind.
From an eagle’s eye view, each dune was positioned in such a way that the space between them formed the design of a snake’s body that stretched for many millions of miles.
This was the territory where the main base of the Sky Drifting Mountain was stationed, Adverse Snaky Hills.
The grand sight was imposing and will-crushing. In truth, Adverse Snaky Hills had a wind that brought a unique effect on the mind.
At random times, a powerful wind would sweep through the territory. This wind was crushing and chaotic, but history was yet to record an otherworldly creature who was physically harmed in this wind.
However, when submerged in this wind, it did not assault the physical body, but the mind and will.
Not only did it generate illusions that attacked one’s soul, but it also greatly affected the strength one could display in mortal combat.
More importantly, with this wind came the appearance of Dune Snakes.
These creatures hibernated during night and day, year upon year, but the wind stirred their hearts.
Every time this wind appeared, there’d be one or two Dune Snakes creating chaos.
They were all powerful, with even the weakest Dune Snakes capable of swatting a Cosmos Forger to death in an instant.
The entire Adverse Snaky Hills trembled!
Boom...!!
A gargantuan, beastly creature burst out from beneath the desert sand and shot into the skies.
It had the body of a snake thousands of miles long, and a single shredded wing that flapped. The demonic wing was twisted and long, blanketing the skies and blotting out the sun.
Its face was hideous, a mix between a feline creature with goat horns and a snake’s tongue that released a heart-chilling sound which resounded for countless miles.
Nonetheless, the figure it chased, a tiny dot in comparison to the Dune Snake, continuously ascended toward the skies, his back facing the Heavens above.
He held onto a rod four times his size, wrapped in a green silky material.
He was handsome and youthful, with light brown skin, languid dark green eyes, and similarly colored hair. His expression was part serene, part something else.
As the Dune Snake’s wing flapped once more, it directly crossed the distance between the two and hissed.
This was not just any normal hiss, but instead contained the principles of Sound.
Visible ripples escaped its mouth and ruthlessly slammed into the young man’s figure.
His bare chest caved in, and he spat out a mouthful.
Whilst his body was sent flying into the sky with greater velocity than before, the mouthful of saliva transformed into rocks, and these rocks began to expand.
Expand, expand, expand!
In the blink of an eye, they were like miniature planets that carried an air of infinite heaviness.
Hundreds of droplets of spit mutated into celestial bodies of incredible size and heaviness.
They formed an intricate net that fell toward the winged creature.
Nevertheless, the Dune Snake’s body was incredibly slippery, and the wing granted it stunning speed.
The creature maneuvered through impossible spaces and escaped the complex net of celestial bodies.
At the same time, above a layer of clouds, a figure simply floated in the skies; it appeared as if he was lying in bed, basking in the sunlight.
His hands were stretched wide, his right hand still holding onto the rod.
His youthful face wore a mask, part serene, part amused.
His hair was long, and he had jewels tied to a string around his forehead. He wore a pair of earrings embedded with shining gems.
The Dune Snake tore apart the clouds beneath it and opened its maw.
The principles of Sound resounded, but it was not directly harmful. Instead, a powerful suction force originating from the creature’s mouth pulled at his figure.
His lips curled upward, and he closed his eyes.
Opening his mouth, he whispered to himself, "This kill ain’t gonna satisfy me. Fuck man, I’m just too strong, huh."
As he was pulled toward the Dune Snake’s jaws, he spun his body to face the creature and finally acted.
Both sides approached each other rapidly, and behind them were trails of pressure that hinted at their immeasurable momentum.
The young man twirled the rod skillfully, and the green material unwrapped itself.
The rod was ink black, and there were green designs running across its body. In his grip, it began disassembling into countless tiny shards.
There were thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of shards!
They raced across the skies at a speed much greater than the two before they gathered around each other behind the young man’s figure.
He uttered thereafter, "Heaven Suppressing Pillar- Final Form: Rupture Heaven!"
Clank! Clank! Clank!
The millions of shards clicked into place, and soon after, a pillar manifested.
It was so tall that it grew out of the skies, and so dense that the space around its body made popping noises.
As the young man appeared before the creature’s mouth, he gently shook his head and closed his eyes.
At the same time, the Heaven Suppressing Pillar swallowed his figure completely, and it went straight into the Dune Snake’s gullet.
The creature’s entire body expanded when taking in that massive rod.
When the Heaven Suppressing Pillar entered its esophagus, a moment later, it burst out of the creature’s tail and stabbed into the Adverse Snaky Hills below.
Uniting Heaven & Earth, even though the Heaven Suppressing Pillar was many miles deep into the sand, its body stretched beyond the clouds, beyond the skies, beyond the bounds of the Heavens!
The young man stood in the sky, his eyes barely open and his arms folded.
His upper body was bare, and his skin glistened under the sunlight. His dark green hair swayed in the wind.
Snake guts fell like red rain.
"Good, good, good. Skar, you were able to defeat a Terror-Level Dune Snake with just your Basic Supreme Armament."
"Your strength is even greater than the standardized system for realm fathers. Incredible!"
Skar heard a familiar voice and looked into the distance.
Some tens of thousands of miles away, a group of realm father elders made their way to him.
They were in charge of overseeing the matters of the Sky Drifting Mountain in this 2nd Layer, and outside of the Dimension Lord secluded in the sacred hall, they were the highest authority.
The one who spoke was a towering figure with a burly body, more muscular than Skar himself. He had on similar pants to Skar.
It was a flowing white trousers with green accents. His upper body was also bare. This was the tradition of the Earth Elves.
They were even more brutish and brash than the Sun Elves.
"Ain’t that Ten-Fold System from below the 20th?" Skar voiced in a gruffish manner, "Old man Ronon, if ur continue using their logic, I’mma kill you."
