Myriad Devils-Chapter 332: This is a household of slaves
The true body of the World Tree perpetually resided in Mythralis. This existence was not a creation of the cosmic space, but something with an unknown origin.
The World Tree was so large that it continuously escaped the bounds of one’s imagination every time one attempted to decipher its true height.
It was completely beyond the scope of the abstract soul.
Upon returning, Anon’s body gently shook. His figure began to shed Elshen’s appearance and aura, and revealed his true self.
Behind his figure, white hair fell to his ankles and stretched thirty feet out behind him. It continued to grow longer as he made his way to the World Tree.
In his true appearance, the changes made by the cosmic force left behind by the Nether Soul creatures upon their death were clearly visible.
Besides his pale, purple lips, his sclera was completely blackened. The tips of his fingers and toes were sharper and also blackened, giving off a sickly air.
His eyes were half-closed, partially hidden by the sweep of his bangs, and there was an unreadable expression on his face as he looked at his wife.
Astaria sat on her knees, under the shade of the World Tree, like a mere mortal maiden. A piece of white cloth blanketed her eyes.
They were sacrificed to the World Tree when she was a mortal. Though she was the only Venerable Saintess to have survived the otherworldly sacrifice, her sight was still lost.
Across the entire cosmic space, a truly blind otherworldly creature was a rare sight.
Even if one were to be momentarily blinded, once their soul recovered, all senses would return as well.
Her lips curled slightly, and she asked with an amused voice, "Do you intend to make a harem because of our conversation before you left?"
She said this in jest.
If she was jokingly mocking his situation, did it mean that she felt no particular way about it?
He smiled and slowly said, "Was it not the best path in that situation?"
"Besides slaving myself away to Margaret, what other possibilities were there?" He asked.
By this time, he had already arrived before Astaria. Lowering himself, he took a seat at her side. She leaned towards him and wrapped her arms around him.
Resting her head against his chest, she said with a voice as soft as a whisper, "Maybe, if you didn’t lose control of your Infernal side, you wouldn’t have been thrown into that position in the first place."
Anon’s right hand gently rested on her head of silver hair.
His celestial nature was more protective, or more accurately, possessive of what it deemed as his property.
Upon deeper reflection, he recognized the three natures: his celestial nature, his ungodly nature, and his intrinsic human nature.
His human nature was more silent than the other two, but it was his foundation.
After reaching otherworldly status, most of his mortal desires were gone, but his desire for power and knowledge became even more intense.
His other natures reacted to this.
Partaking in depravity or creating chaos was the quickest way to empower himself through his Infernal side.
His celestial nature fed on control and belief.
It fed on the idolization from others, or even worship. Especially worship.
Anon had a handful of worshippers back on Earth.
In fact, this wasn’t uncommon.
The Supreme Commander and five Human Generals had their fair share of worshippers as well.
However, it could be said that Anon directly benefited from any show of worship.
Sadly, because they were all merely mortal souls, his benefits were limited. It held little effect on this version of himself.
Luckily, there were unfathomable souls in the Elven territory that idolized his identity as Realm Father Elshen.
These were mostly Cosmos Forgers who had gotten their hands on the recordings, but there were also Realm Fathers mixed into that group as well.
Nevertheless, though the numbers feeding his celestial nature were higher, it could not hold a candle to his ungodly nature that was fed by the abstract souls of Dimension Lords.
Two of these abstract souls contained Level Five Willpowers and were on the cusp of transforming into paradisical souls.
It was important to note that even if they were on the cusp of paradise, the distance between their souls and paradise was comparable to the distance between one edge of the cosmic space to the other.
Due to this, his ungodly nature had evolved into a dimensional space he titled the Chaos Dimension.
Who knew how long it would take his celestial nature to evolve into a dimension as well?
Especially since otherworldly creatures would never easily submit themselves to the point of genuinely worshipping another.
After all, these were not mortal souls. Even if they felt some level of idolization, that was about it.
The Tenebrisculis was an exception.
Maybe, if Astaria hadn’t chased it away, his first dimension would’ve originated from his celestial nature instead.
On the other hand, although the souls influenced by his ungodly nature worshipped him, their worship did not generate the same energy of belief that his celestial nature fed on.
This was something that frustrated him for a time.
Using mortal souls as an example, if he acquired one unit of belief energy from being idolized, this was multiplied tens of times over when he was worshipped.
If idolization alone were to evolve his celestial nature into an entire dimension, he would likely need to be idolized from multiple worlds of otherworldly creatures.
It was a pity that although his otherworldly ascension was seen by great entities throughout the cosmic space, he did not receive any idolization, much less the worship of any of them.
A tough crowd.
Even after seeing an unprecedented event, their hearts were steady and unmoved.
When Anon completed his thoughts, a moment had not passed since Astaria had mentioned him losing control of his ungodly nature.
He smiled whilst playing with her hair, "Didn’t it all work out in the end? It was also my ungodly nature that benefited greatly, and now gives me greater power."
"You asked if I’m building a harem, when in truth, I’m building a household of fanatic slaves for our amusement."
"This household will contain Secondary-Level and Primary-Level creatures, and they will all worship us."
