Chapter 323: A foreign presence in the Palace of Light

The Great Lord once said to the Mystifying Jade Fantasy, if only her willpower were at the Fourth Level, she would not have developed a demon in her heart of desires.

Toward this, Elshen would shake his head in objection.

If this were the case, he would never have sought a path into the Palace of Light in the first place.

Even though he once attempted and failed to influence his wife, Astaria, through his ungodly nature, there were many other factors at play.

Firstly, this was an otherworldly creature at the Pinnacle-Level.

Entities at the Pinnacle were comparable to Overlords.

Overlords were creatures who successfully nurtured paradisical souls and Level Six or even Level Seven Willpower!

Anon did not know what level Astaria’s Willpower was at, but he guessed that it was at least on the Sixth Level.

She once claimed that no one had enlightened the principle of Wisdom at a higher level than her!

No creature at the Pinnacle would easily make such a claim, even if they were arrogant beyond compare.

In this world, even whispering such a claim might attract the attention of some incomprehensible existence.

Secondly, and more importantly, Astaria did not have a soul in the normal sense. She was essentially the World Tree, and the World Tree was considered to be partly her as well.

Did she not say that even the great Infernal god held little sway over the World Tree?

It was only natural that Anon’s ungodly nature had little influence on her.

Due to the nature of Astaria’s existence, Anon was not certain that the paradisical soul could resist the influence of his ungodly nature or celestial nature.

Astaria was not an accurate measurement due to the presence of varying factors.

His celestial nature had once shown an effect on the Tenebrisculis, too!

Though the Tenebrisculis was similarly not an accurate measurement, it did show that his celestial nature could affect the paradisical soul.

And his ungodly nature was on the same level as this celestial nature, because just as he had devoured part of the Celestial Supreme’s will, he had devoured the drop of chaos blood originating from the great Infernal god as well.

The trinity was the Human Lord, the great Infernal god, and the Celestial Supreme. They were on the same level of existence, above all others...

This greatly affected Elshen’s decision-making during the time between Protector Relief’s death and the materialization of the prince’s avatar.

The Great Lord’s words were spoken out of ignorance, because she was an existence at the Primary-Level, and she could afford to look down on all creatures trapped within the cosmic space’s dimensions.

But she should not look down on all of them, though she knoweth not.

.....

Great Purity Expanse, Desire-Dripping Atavistic Empire.

Three years later, the Great Lord was still in her fluttering white robes, leaning against the thick bark of an ancient tree.

With a perpetually serene face, as if all things in creation loved only her, the Great Lord observed the cherry blossom flower between her fingers.

Though she had a pair of black, demonic horns protruding from the sides of her head, curving upward into the sky, her entire being carried an air of purity.

There was a creature with an illusory body groveling a distance away. This creature was a woman with fair skin and yellow gold hair.

She was clearly a member of the Light Elf Lineage; however, here she was, at least in an avatar state, groveling before the Great Lord.

This was a betrayal of Empires, akin to a human betraying humanity in a cosmic war.

The Great Lord slowly retracted her gaze from the cherry blossom flower and shifted her focus toward the groveling avatar of the Light Elf before her.

Her voice was calm and soothing. It stirred the hearts of all creatures.

"So the Palace of Light has an extra member, Realm Father Elshen. The same Elshen who killed Desire Devouring Dimension Lord and Protector Relief. The same Elshen who threatened the Lady of Dazzling Lights with the life of her sister."

"Is this what you’re telling me?" The Great Lord tilted her head to one side and sent a quizzical gaze at the groveling avatar.

The avatar nodded meekly, "Y-Yes," she muttered, trembling in fright.

Earlier, she had reported what her own two eyes saw, but upon speaking these words, even she had a hard time believing them.

If she disbelieved her own words, what about the Great Lord?

After all, there was no logical possibility that the Boundless Light Empress would overlook the sins Realm Father Elshen had committed.

Such a ludicrous act without any rhyme or reason would tarnish her image.

There were many forces in the shadows of the Heart-Dripping World Space, waiting for a time to strike down one of these two Atavistic Empires and replace them.

If Realm Father Elshen could act so brazenly and get away scot-free, then these hidden forces would begin thinking that they could get away with offending the Celestial Heart Atavistic Empire.

Endless trouble would follow, and the Desire Dripping Atavistic Empire would pounce on this.

Before one realized how or when, several forces, along with the Desire Dripping Atavistic Empire, may very well unite and surround the Celestial Heart Atavistic Empire.

This was how delicate the situation was between these two Atavistic Empires. Any moment of weakness might spiral into annihilation.

The Boundless Light Empress naturally knew this.

She would never allow Realm Father Elshen to join the Empire without being punished for his actions.

Even if in pretense, he would still need to be punished to appease the Empire’s public image.

Then, there was only one other possibility.

He could evade the Empress’s perception within her own dimensional space.

Nonsense!

Within their own complex dimension, the Primary-Level creature was part omnipotent and part omniscient.

When thinking it over, the groveling avatar even doubted whether she had actually seen Realm Father Elshen.

But she was sure it was him.

Her avatar felt an intense wave of fear wash over its body.

The Great Lord thought of the Mystifying Jade Fantasy and then snickered.

"Is it really true? Can he even control the Boundless Light Empress?"

Even though she herself was capable, the Boundless Light Empress was absolutely on the cusp of nurturing a paradisical soul.

There was no way she could sway the Empress’s heart.

The Empress was only waiting for an opportunity.

Her Willpower was on the cusp of transforming into a Level Six Willpower.

Even if she could infiltrate the Palace of Light and control the hearts of other creatures without being seen through, the Heart-Consuming Great Lord could not control the Boundless Light Empress; this was obvious.

Now she stumbled upon an unimaginable possibility.
