Chapter 199: Insanity

Do not use this magic!

Do not use...

Anon screamed and cried, snot flowing from his nose.

This eye was too large.

It expanded, and expanded, to the point that it reached a size that went beyond his imagination.

Anon dared not look at this eye; however, he could not look away either.

At this time, although Anon’s soul was filled with endless mysteries, it was simply too weak to face the warning of an unimaginable existence.

The dimension did not let this chance slip by. Instead, the unimaginable existence and the inverted sky dimension worked in harmony to transform this human...

Anon, who was victorious in this battle for evolution, attracted the dimension’s consciousness to undergo another metamorphosis.

Slaughterous energies seeped into his soul, nurturing and at the same time, corrupting it.

If, previously, he could still resist this slaughterous corruption, he who had been punished for wielding magic that he should not wield, did not have the means to resist this slaughterous energy.

One can even say, this was the actualization of the purest incarnation’s goal.

The mature cloud began the process of evolution into an ancestor cloud, and at the same time, Anon also underwent many changes...

.....

The crimson heaven’s nature touched upon the mysteries of infinity. There was no end to this vast expanse of blood sea.

Countless nascent and mature clouds drifted across the crimson ocean. There were many ancestors and empyrean clouds as well; however, the latter two clouds were much rarer and signified a great change in the drifter.

Though some mature drifters wielded power that could be considered beyond the bounds of fifth worlders, ancestor drifters were officially above and beyond the realm of fifth worlders.

If there were a sixth world that separated fifth worlders and other worlders, then ancestor drifters would be in this sixth world.

It was completely transcendent over fifth worlders.

To put it into perspective, the gap between a fifth worlder and a sixth worlder was akin to the gap between a fifth worlder and a first worlder.

Whilst first worlders were akin to ordinary mortals with slightly greater strength and so on, they could not be compared to fifth worlders, who were comparable to walking nukes...

Similarly, fifth worlders could not compare to the theoretical sixth world of ancestor drifters.

Drifting across this endless blood sea was an Ancestor Cloud. This cloud was of an emerald green color, and it was as large as twelve thousand meters in diameter.

Moving at such an incredible speed, nearing if not already touching 60,000 miles per hour, it left behind a trail of false images that appeared real.

The speed of an Ancestor Cloud...

This speed hinted at the power an ancestor drifter’s soul had.

How great was this?

Moving on this cloud in the old world of earth, one could circle the earth twice in less than an hour!

And still, this was only a hint of an ancestor drifter’s power. One must understand that some ancestor drifters were beyond just this...

How glorified an ancestor drifter was?!

Atop the ancestor cloud that radiated endless emerald magnificence, Anon angrily glared toward a particular direction.

His extraordinary robes were decorated with emerald moon gems that shimmered with countless starry lights.

"Y-You... It’s your fault... your fault! Granny died because of you!" Elizabeth glared intensely. She did not even show an ounce of care toward the power the current Anon wielded.

He had ignored her rants for some time, but even Anon had a limit to his patience. He gritted his teeth, and temple veins bulged.

Tch!

"Do you think I care?!" Anon growled. "Do you really think I care about that old hag? Do you think I care about you? Do you really think I care?!"

Sitting some distance away, he had been trying to meditate to calm his emotions, but at this time, Elizabeth was just too annoying.

After his sudden outburst, he appeared before Elizabeth on a moment’s notice and waved his hand.

"Fuck off!"

Under Elizabeth’s stunned and speechless gaze, Anon’s hand passed through her body without any obstructions. She was instantly obliterated into a blood fog that dispersed in the air. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Tsk!

Clicking his tongue in annoyance, Anon returned to his previous state, quickly forgetting about the slight disturbance just now.

The wind blew, and his chaotic black hair danced along with it. The air lashed against his face, but for an ancestor drifter, even at this speed, this was like a cool, calm breeze.

However, as he meditated and his senses unfurled, this breeze, due to the speed at which his emerald cloud moved, was like a roaring, nightmarish beast.

This nightmarish beast encompassed him and continuously lashed against his face and body. He had no way to evade.

Anon suddenly felt sad.

There was no way to evade this nightmarish beast. Hot tears trickled down his face as he realized that he could not escape this beastly creature.

Clutching his heart, a piercing wail escaped his mouth...

Time passed.

Meditating on the drifting cloud, he was caught in the silence of this world.

After all, a day turned into a week, a week into a month, and a month into a year. As a mature young man, how could he lose himself in despair due to the breeze?

But this realization dawned around the same time he took notice of the passage of time. So much time went by, and yet he had remained meditating on the ancestor cloud by himself.

In this lonely ancestor cloud, in this endlessly large world, Anon was scared.

By nature, the journey of a drifter was one of eternal loneliness.

All encounters led to slaughter.

Anon came to realize this, and he could not help but tremble in fear.

The loneliness was like a conceptual beast larger than his imagination, gazing at him from all known and unknown directions.

Like a creature outside of his dimensional understanding, clutching at him within the palm of its hand.

This loneliness, Anon could not escape it, nor fight against it. Such a thought, of resistance, did not even dare to form.

Only endless fear, endless fear...

Anon curled up into a ball and hugged his knees tightly, quivering and whimpering. It was totally unbecoming of the ancestor drifter that he was.

Deathly silence always followed this kind of loneliness.

This silence drowned his body in a year, his spirit in three, and his soul in ten.

After a decade, Anon suddenly let out a sound.

It was not just any sound, but the sound of a light, almost indiscernible chuckle.

"Heh! Hahaha... Hahahahaha..."

This was insanity.

He had really gone insane for a decade before finally catching himself.

Anon stood up and shook his head, laughing at himself.

This was too funny.

Luckily, he had caught himself.

Thankfully, he was insane no more.

Anon scoffed and looked around at his ancestor cloud.

This thing spanned twelve thousand meters, and the emerald clouds were incredibly concentrated.

However, he did not focus on it for long and shifted his gaze upwards, toward the earth far above, and then he looked internally.

Looking within himself, Anon closed his eyes for some time, and his perception was altered greatly.

His mind realm radiated an intense greenish hue, and his body within his mind realm, born from the concentration of his soul power, was almost corporeal.

Anon felt a sudden desire and moved on a whim.

With one leap, he jumped out of the infinite dark world, out of his mind realm, out of his fleshy body, and into the real world.

Floating upwards, Anon looked behind him, down toward his physical body, and smiled.

This form...

It was merely the concentration of the immense power his soul contained. Technically speaking, it was only a wisp of his soul, containing a wisp of his will and thoughts; however, this was way beyond the capabilities of a mere fifth worlder.

His soul was beginning to touch upon that level... it had surpassed the initial state of development and started giving birth to the aspects of an unfathomable soul.

Anon turned away from his physical body, returning his gaze to the earth above.

Previously, he was unable to perceive this strangeness, but that changed once he became an ancestor drifter.

Slightly caught up in the madness that had obstructed him due to the dimension’s nurturing, along with that blood eye’s punishment, Anon had ignored this.

In less than nine steps, Anon scaled upwards, toward the earth above. Once he reached a certain level, sky and earth reversed, and he slowly descended onto the earth’s surface.

Above him was an endless blood sky with numerous blood-colored pillars that fell from the heavenly crimson expanse and plunged deep into the earth.

These blood pillars seemed to support the heavens and the earth!

In his spiritual body, Anon descended into the earthly abode. Before him was an unbelievable heavenly sight which he could only perceive after becoming an ancestor drifter.

Before him stood a grand celestial city with unimaginably tall city walls that rose from the mortal dirt and touched the crimson heavens.

Two extraordinary heavenly gates forged from glistening ruby gems burst open, as if the gateway to heaven, welcoming a mortal of grand merits!

Anon’s eyes showed the calmness of a sane person...

With a gentle smile, he stepped into the city of ancestors and empyreans!
