Chapter 180: The Envoy

In the depths of a particular mind-swallowing abyss, Seth suddenly stood up sharply. A relieved look appeared on his face, and right after, he transformed into a trail of blood.

.....

"Tch." Seth’s expression was dark upon seeing Anon. More accurately, it was Anon’s current location that slightly annoyed him.

Standing high in the sky, Seth patiently observed.

However, his patience was to be tested.

.....

Anon meditated, or slept.

He sat in a meditative posture, sleeping for six days and six nights.

When he opened his eyes, for a moment, they were pupilless, simply the purest form of white.

Pristine and untainted.

A moment after, his pupils returned, shimmering golden orbs brighter than ever before.

Anon saw something before his eyes and frowned.

Then, he looked toward the sky, directly in Seth’s direction, catching the latter by surprise.

’He can sense me?’ Seth’s eyes widened slightly as he descended.

’What did I just see?’ Anon pondered internally, pleasantly surprised.

At the same time, his aura unfurled.

The most pristine golden aura escaped his worldly figure, burning the clothes that were created by Seth at that time.

As he slowly ascended into the sky, a form-fitting white shirt wrapped around his compact frame, and a white and gold jacket draped over his t-shirt.

Anon was adorned in a what appeared to be a white jeans decorated in golden flames at its ankles, and white tactical boots.

Compared to the black clothing before, Anon was visibly more fashionable and bright. His looks were as stunning as his clothes. He had on golden earrings and a ring on his right index finger.

"Congratulations," Seth did not hide his annoyance as he congratulated. "Your spirit has finally recovered, and your willpower is palpable."

Anon smiled meaningfully, but gently shook his head.

"No, not necessarily," Anon paused slightly, taking in Seth’s surprised expression, but explained anyway. "My spirit is not injured, but it is merely in the first layer of the second world in terms of strength."

This strength was simply based on how much stellar cosmic energy he could summon. At this point, Anon came to realize that the technique used for magic cultivation was inherently flawed.

By now, Anon’s soul and willpower was so powerful that his ability to multitask was almost incomprehensible.

Following the usual method, when his spirit was able to simultaneously form eighteen complex constructs with stellar cosmic energy, he’d enter the third world spiritually.

However, splitting his focus on eighteen differing tasks was simply too easy for the current him.

He had such a powerful will that his thoughts could command each of the trillions of cells in his body.

His only limitation on the spiritual level was that he could not summon an amount of stellar cosmic energy comparable to someone in the second layer of the second world, much less a third worlder.

The spirit being weak was just it being weak.

Though that method was slightly helpful for ordinary individuals, it was obvious to Anon that otherworldly knights simply did not care.

He was sure of that.

Otherwise, they could’ve easily created a much better method for magic cultivation.

Well, the best method was simply exhausting the spirit and allowing stellar cosmic energy to nurture it.

From another perspective, it could be said that the otherworldly knights were simply saying, go ahead and fight.

It was the most effective way to weed out the useless ones, and it was also the fastest way for one’s spirit to advance the worlds.

Anyway, Anon’s focus wasn’t really on any of that, because his eyes lit up again, he saw something indescribable appear and disappear in a flash.

"You don’t seem particularly annoyed though." Seth squinted his eyes.

To him, it was slightly suspicious that Anon, who had seemed so desperate to undergo spiritual recovery, was now unbothered by his weakened spirituality.

After all, such a weak spirit would make it even more impossible in transcending worlds. With his will this powerful, Anon must have an inclination.

Is it that, he does not desire undergoing spirit, flesh unity yet?

However, Anon chuckled lightly.

"I find it funny," Anon casually observed the world, wherein, he saw many indescribable things.

"A moment ago, my willpower was strong enough to achieve true mastery over the body, but it was still lacking. I lost. But then I reopened my eyes, and the world has changed."

Seth listened to his words and did not know how to react.

Currently, Anon was doing to him, something that he loved to do to Anon.

Speaking in riddles.

Seth remained silent.

Even if he didn’t understand, he wasn’t going to beckon for an explanation.

Never would Anon make Seth say the words, ’What do you mean?’.

Anon, however, did not seem to mind, chuckling again.

"Seth, I’ve achieved it," He said. "My willpower has undergone another metamorphosis, and I can sense it. A faint rule signaling the absolute limit for mortal creatures. To this limit, and to how I can overcome this limit, I am knowing of what I must do."

’Ah, that accursed Human Lord!’ Seth’s eyes widened.

Anon’s words implied too many things.

He clearly knew.

Was he going to attempt it?!

"Anon." Seth spoke slowly. "You are not thinking of transcending worlds right? You’re in the first layer of the second world. Your spirit is simply too weak. It will be utterly destroyed."

For the first time, Anon sensed a tinge of dread in Seth’s tone.

It was amusing. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"Hehe," Anon chuckled once more.

Ever since opening his eyes, he couldn’t help but find the world pleasurable. There were indescribable sigils that appeared before his eyes, and yet he could understand them.

They made everything easier to understand.

He was knowing.

His will had undergone a tremendous change, and he could perceive the ’limit’ of the world.

This ’limit’ was an absolute limit for mortal creatures.

Usually, only those in the fifth world can sense this limit, because only fifth worlders wield power that touch upon this limit.

However, Anon had achieved true mastery over the fleshy body, and true mastery over the spear.

His spirit had recovered and though his spiritual level had dropped from the third layer to the first, his spirit had reached a state of perfection.

He had slept, but he dreamt.

He dreaded the nightmares yet they did not arrive.

Not because the nightmares were over, no.

The cause for the nightmares was still within his body, however he now knew what it was.

He knew because he was now fundamentally different.

The principle of inevitability was something he had awakened when he became a stellar fighter at a very young age.

The principle of destiny was something that he had awakened when his spirit had reached a state of perfection only recently.

The principle of fate was ’sealed’ within his body, however it was a trap.

Fate whispered, destiny wrote, inevitability etched it in stone.

He could now see what destiny was writing.

Still, this could not be considered a form of omniscience.

Reality was everchanging, and the indescribable sigils only related to him, however for the most part, this was his first step to an entirely new world.

’If I attempt ascension now, I will certainly fail,’ Anon mused. His face was unreadable, giving nothing to Seth. ’Instead, I would fall to the schemes of the unseen hands.’

’But there does not seem to be a destiny in which I achieve the third world. Why is that? Will I fail to enter the third world? Unlikely.’ Anon’s thoughts churned rapidly.

A single moment in the real world allowed for dozens and hundreds of thought chains.

’Highly likely, this has to do with the unseen hands, the devil, or father. Seeing as Seth isn’t willing for me to undergo ascension, the devil can be ruled out,’ Anon mused. ’Entering the third world would raise my chances of succeeding in the ascension, but its also something that the devil seems to want.’

Suddenly, he smiled.

"I am not so daring. Right now isn’t the time to ascend. Instead, I wish to strengthen my soul so that my will can break out the cosmic ruling, however I know what need to do, but not how to do it..." Anon’s voice trailed.

"In fact," Seth’s countenance suddenly changed. "It isn’t impossible to jump out the bounds of the cosmic ruling."

At the same time, the space a distance away trembled. Anon squinted his eyes as a tall, slender figure manifested.

They had white hair and a strangely similar appearance to Seth.

With the two standing almost alongside each other, the resemblance could not be hidden.

Seeing Anon’s doubtful gaze, Seth smiled meaningfully and introduced himself for the first time.

"Truthfully, I have no name. I am a saint bestowed by the purest incarnation with the task to assume the identity of Seth Constantin. I am a saint, an incarnation of the Great Infernal God."

Next to Seth, the figure gently placed a hand on his chest and introduced, "I too have no name. I am a saint bestowed the task of envoy by the purest incarnation. My responsibility is to return to the New World Order with you."

Anon’s eyes shone with a pristine gold and his own destiny unraveled before his eyes.

’They did not lie.’ Anon silently assessed.

In fact, once reopening his eyes, though he could not directly locate where, he perceived a foreign gaze other than Seth.

If someone like Seth did not sense this gaze too, then the sun would likely rise the next morning.

Simply put, the former already knew.

Since he did, it meant that they were likely united.

Anon had his own deductions from there on, so he subtly led the conversation to allow Seth the opportunity to introduce this figure.

However, he did not bother appearing surprised by the envoy’s appearance.

"Well, I do wish to see this new world order," Anon smiled. "And I’m even more interested in seeing the method of jumping out the bounds of the cosmic ruling."

Anon said so, and soon after, the envoy revealed a crimson path before his eyes. This path, seemingly forged out of blood, seemed to pierce through the folds of space.

They did not need to travel to some specific location.

The New World Order, instead, seemingly existed behind invisible curtains that had always been present.
