The filming continued on intensely inside the filming site.

The filming this time went unusually smooth. When Shen Weiwei delivered the bowl of porridge to Ji Qingqing’s mouth, Director Zhou held his breath, anxious that the porridge scene would cause problems again. Fortunately, the entire scene was filmed smoothly in one shot. Ji Qingqing retaliated and killed Shen Weiwei in the woodshed and the scene ended with Ji Qingqing’s face gradually turning solemn.

“Cut! Pass!” Director Zhou’s smile was bright. “Qingqing, not bad. Keep it up. And also Weiwei, congratulations, your filming ended!”

Ji Qingqing let out a sigh of relief and rubbed her stiffened face. “Thank you, Director Zhou. Thank you all for your hard work.”

Shen Weiwei got up and spit out the fake blood in her mouth. She took the towel and water from one of the workers and cleaned herself. “Thank you, Director Zhou. Also thank you everyone for your help during this period of time. Let me treat everyone to dinner tonight.”

If Shen Weiwei had said those words half an hour ago, probably only a few people would respond to her because she only acted as a minor role in the film, a role that wasn’t worth noting after the completion of her part in the film.

But now it was different.

Everyone knew that Shen Weiwei was Lu Liting’s girlfriend, and Lu Liting was Lu Lixing’s biological brother. One could also tell that they had a close relationship from the way Lu Liting came to pick up Shen Weiwei, and it didn’t look like they were only dating for fun.

Shen Weiwei quickly walked over when she saw Lu Liting coming in from the outside. Grinning, she linked her arm to his and said, “Liting, my filming ended, and I wish to treat everyone to dinner tonight. Then we’ll head back after that, ok?”

Lu Liting felt a bit uncomfortable, but he didn’t say anything in front of Shen Weiwei. “Sure, no problem.”

Shen Weiwei’s smile turned brighter. She turned around and looked at Director Zhou and the rest of the filming crew. “Director Zhou, thank you for your care and guidance during this period of time. Please do come tonight. Brother Jiang Su, Sister Jingyun, please come too. You guys helped me so much. I really need to thank you guys.”

Jiang Su and Qi Jingyun placed down their script and glanced at Shen Weiwei. None of them said anything.

“Qingqing, are you coming too?”

Ji Qingqing who was in the middle of removing makeup really wanted to roll her eyes at Shen Weiwei.

“I’m sorry. I’m not free tonight.”

The smile on Shen Weiwei’s face slightly froze and turned forlorn. She encouraged herself to smile. “You’re not free? It’s just a meal. It wouldn’t take up too much of your time.”

Lu Lixing walked over and glanced at Lu Liting. “My flight is at 2 in the afternoon. You’re leaving with me.”

“But…”

The space between Lu Liting’s eyebrows sunk further as Lu Lixing’s eyes skimmed over him coldly.

“What other important thing do you still have to do here?”

Shen Weiwei considerately tried to lighten the atmosphere. She smiled. “It’s ok. I will stay to treat the filming crew to dinner. Liting, you’re busy with work. You head back first.”

Director Zhou flipped through today’s filming schedule. There will be four scenes that they will have to film tonight and they are all of high importance. “Weiwei ah, there are quite a few scenes that we planned for tonight. I’m afraid we won’t have time to eat tonight.”

His words didn’t save Shen Weiwei any face.

On the contrary, Shen Weiwei seemed to really not care about Director Zhou’s response. She smiled and said, “It’s okay. It’s my fault for not being considerate enough. How about this, I’ll treat everyone next time when all of you are free.”

“Sure.”

Ji Qingqing walked to Lu Lixing. “Your flight is at 2 pm, but I still have some scenes later, so I can’t send you off to the airport.”

Lu Lixing Mn-ed and proceeded to shift his gaze to Director Zhou. “Director Zhou, for the remaining period, please take care of Qingqing.”

There was no reason that Director Zhou would refuse his request. “Please rest assured, Mr. Lu.”

Lu Liting was standing beside Lu Lixing. The distance between him and Ji Qingqing was very close. With just a glance he could spot the faint red marks on Ji Qingqing’s neck and collarbone.

What the red marks were, he couldn’t be more sure of it.

His face froze and his eyebrows furrowed. There was an unnoticeable coldness in his eyes.

Someone from outside of the filming area came in to hurry them. He wore a suit and looked unfamiliar. It seemed like he had specially come over to ask Lu Lixing to leave.
