My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 32: Make Her Kowtow and Apologize to Me
Aurora Sinclair retracted her foot. With her hands clasped behind her back, she stared coldly at the person lying on the ground, unable to get up. Her gaze grew even more frigid.
Jean Quincy knew Aurora had practiced martial arts on a mountain since she was a child, but she had never seen her in action before. She stood frozen in place.
Glenn Lockwood had also trained in martial arts from a young age. His strength was rumored to be at the Ninth Rank Samurai level, on the verge of breaking through to the Great Warrior Level.
’But now, he was sent flying by a single kick from Aurora Sinclair... and he even coughed up blood?’
’Then her strength...’
Jean Quincy didn’t dare to imagine it. Her body trembled slightly, and her eyes lit up.
Seeing Glenn Lockwood severely injured, the Lockwood family’s bodyguards immediately surrounded them.
The Sinclair Family had only sent one bodyguard with them today. Outnumbered, he was quickly subdued and pinned to the ground by the Lockwood bodyguards.
Jean Quincy was infuriated by the Lockwood family’s thuggish behavior. She pointed at them and yelled, "It was your young master who started harassing me—"
But the Lockwood bodyguards ignored her completely, glaring at them arrogantly. One even stepped forward to grab Aurora Sinclair.
Jean Quincy shouted in panic, "Run—"
Before she could finish, the Lockwood bodyguard who had stepped forward suddenly hunched over and, with a THUD, fell flat on the ground.
Immediately after, the Lockwood bodyguards surrounding them fell one by one like dominoes, groaning in pain on the ground.
The few young masters standing next to Glenn Lockwood were dumbfounded.
When they saw Aurora Sinclair turn her expressionless gaze toward them, they scrambled backward, their faces pale, and shook their heads frantically. "I... we... we’re just... just passing by..."
’Fuck, is this supposed to be some delicate girl?’
***
In Veridia, girls weren’t required to practice martial arts from the first grade of elementary school like boys were, so it was rare to see a girl with such high Combat Power.
To protect its "delicate" female population, Veridia had even enacted a special law: any Veridian male aged 12 or older was forbidden from initiating physical violence against a female citizen. Violators would face severe criminal penalties.
Minor offenses resulted in a month’s detention, while serious ones could lead to over five years in prison. If the violence resulted in the woman’s death, the man would be sentenced to life imprisonment or death. The only exception was if the woman in question had first threatened the man’s life.
Glenn Lockwood’s bodyguards were all at the Great Warrior Level, yet now they were being effortlessly dismantled by Aurora Sinclair, one punch at a time. The sight absolutely stunned the young masters.
Jean Quincy gave the men on the ground a complicated look, then immediately grabbed Aurora Sinclair and ran for her life.
She was still shaken even after they got into the car. With trembling hands, she called Tanner Sinclair to report what had happened at the mall.
Tanner Sinclair’s usual playful, devil-may-care expression instantly turned serious, startling Zeke Quincy who was beside him.
Hanging up the phone, Tanner Sinclair sprinted toward Master Sinclair’s bedroom.
"Master Sinclair, Aurora and Jean are in trouble!"

At the Lockwood Family estate, the moment Glenn Lockwood’s mother, Jane Lawson, heard her son had been beaten so badly he was coughing up blood, she rushed to the hospital.
After watching the mall’s security footage, Jane Lawson’s face hardened. "Have her arrested!" she snarled.
The Lockwood Family soon went to the Sinclair Family to demand they hand her over, but Master Sinclair protected Aurora and refused to let the Lockwoods take her.
Jean Quincy stated bluntly, "Glenn Lockwood was harassing me at the mall. Aurora Sinclair was only retaliating. If you continue to be unreasonable, I’ll call the police."
Veridia’s law protecting women was extremely effective; no matter which of the Great Families they belonged to, no one dared to openly violate it. But not violating it didn’t mean there was no way to deal with Aurora Sinclair.
The Lockwood Family was one of Kingsford’s Seven Great Families, and their connections were so extensive that Jane Lawson could summon people from the Kingsford Martial Affairs Bureau with a single word.
This Martial Affairs Bureau was a special department dedicated to combating crimes committed by High Rank Martial Artists. Its members were all from the Veridian Martial Alliance, and it operated under one of the state’s national security divisions.
If they were the ones to make the arrest, the nature of the situation would become much more serious.
Master Sinclair didn’t dare to stop them. He could only watch helplessly as they took Aurora Sinclair away.
The Lockwood Family sent a message to Master Sinclair: the Sinclair Family could have Aurora back once Glenn Lockwood woke up.
Their arrogance was off the charts.
Master Sinclair was burning with anxiety, calling everyone he could think of for help.

Glenn Lockwood woke up in the hospital after being unconscious for only two hours. He was largely unharmed, save for a purple bruise on his chest.
Aurora Sinclair’s kick had been skillfully placed. It looked like he had coughed up blood and was seriously injured, but for a martial artist, it was merely a superficial wound. In fact, the kick had forced out the stagnant blood that had been building up in his chest.
Now, his Spirit felt better than ever.
Jane Lawson secretly sighed in relief, but she still had no intention of letting Aurora Sinclair off the hook.
’Does the Sinclair Family really think they can be compared to the Seven Great Families just because they’ve squeezed their way into high society? If I don’t teach them a good lesson today, I don’t deserve to be a part of the Lockwood family.’
"Mom, I think I broke through to the Great Warrior Level!"
Glenn Lockwood rolled out of bed, jumped up and down a few times beside it, and said with a look of pleasant surprise.
Jane Lawson looked at him in disbelief, frowning. "Really? Are you sure there aren’t any problems?"
"I coughed up the stagnant blood from when that bastard Ethan Lowell sucker-punched me."
"Ethan Lowell? You got into a fight with him again? How many times have I told you? That kid grew up on the outside. He’s wild and doesn’t know how to hold back. Why do you keep provoking him?"
Jane Lawson pinched the bridge of her nose, which was starting to ache.
’I just don’t get it,’ she thought. ’Why does my son always have it in for that newly-acknowledged young master of the Lowell Family?’
Glenn Lockwood sheepishly shut his mouth. He didn’t dare say it was because Jean Quincy liked Ethan Lowell, which pissed him off. If his mother found out, he’d be in for a beating himself.
Jane Lawson was one of Veridia’s few Female Martial Artists. She held a position in the Veridian Martial Alliance and was a former Kingsford freestyle fighting champion.
"The girl who hit you is the Sinclair Family’s second miss, Aurora Sinclair, who just returned. She’s been practicing martial arts on a mountain. I’ve already had her locked up. How do you want to vent your anger?"
Seeing that he was fine, Jane Lawson brought up Aurora Sinclair.
The mention of her name filled Glenn Lockwood with suppressed rage. He hadn’t even gotten a clear look at her today before she sent him flying with a kick.
’If word of this gets out, how could he, the great young master of the Lockwood Family, possibly show his face in Kingsford anymore? Does he have any pride left?’
Glenn Lockwood’s face darkened. He said, enunciating each word, "Make her kowtow and apologize to me!"
***
Master Sinclair called in all his connections, but it was no use. The Lockwood Family refused to reconcile and insisted that Aurora Sinclair kowtow and apologize to Glenn Lockwood. Otherwise, they would sue her for excessive self-defense.
With such a mark on her record, it was highly likely that Aurora Sinclair wouldn’t be able to take the college entrance exams.
Master Sinclair summoned both Linton Sinclair and Jade Sinclair back to resolve the matter.
The atmosphere in Tanner Sinclair’s apartment was incredibly tense.
Master Sinclair sat on the sofa without a word. Jean Quincy and Zeke Quincy watched their mother, who was on the phone, with worried expressions.
Jade Sinclair hung up the phone, her face etched with worry. "Dad, Alden went to negotiate with the Lockwood Family, but their stance is unyielding. They absolutely refuse a private settlement. They insist that Aurora must publicly kowtow and apologize to Glenn Lockwood!"
’This whole affair started because of my daughter. If it can’t be resolved amicably, I won’t be able to show my face in my maiden family anymore.’
Jean Quincy shouted in anger, "On what grounds? Glenn Lockwood was the one who harassed me first!"
Jade Sinclair shot her a glare.
Master Sinclair turned to Tanner Sinclair with a grave expression. "What did Marcel say?"
"Our little sister already contacted Captain Lawson at the Martial Affairs Bureau. He said that based on the security footage, there isn’t enough evidence to prove the Lockwood’s young master made the first move. If they sue, we’ll most likely be at a disadvantage. They recommend we settle this privately and, ideally, take Aurora to their home to apologize!"
"Apologize? On what grounds? He gets beaten up by Aurora for harassing my granddaughter, and now he’s turning the tables on us? Linton, you’re coming with me to the Lockwood Family. I want to see what the Lockwood Patriarch has to say for himself! COUGH, COUGH, COUGH..."
Master Sinclair was trembling with rage, and he let out a series of harsh coughs.
Hailey Gordon, who had been silent the whole time, wore a cold expression, a flicker of anger hidden in her eyes.
’They should take a good look at the Sinclair Family’s standing. And they still want to go head-to-head with the Lockwoods? They truly have a death wish!’
"Dad, don’t be rash! This is just a squabble between the younger generation. It won’t look good for either family if you get involved. If we offend the Lockwood Family, the losses will far outweigh any gains..."
"Linton, you think so too?" Master Sinclair looked at his silent eldest son, Linton Sinclair, his eyes filled with disappointment.
’This son of mine is becoming more and more spineless.’
Just then, Sue Quinn suddenly spoke up, "Eldest Miss, don’t you have the contact information for the Lockwood Heir?"
