Chapter 214: Chapter 208: The Great God of Slaughter, Aurora Sinclair

The Lowell Family Ancient Bell was hundreds of years old and was considered the family’s treasured guardian. Aside from a Martial King and a few Grandmasters, virtually no one could stir it with their own strength.

The long, soul-stirring toll of the bell reverberated throughout the entire Lowell estate, startling every member of the Lowell Family.

Marshall Lowell, who was in seclusion, snapped his eyes open and shot outside.

The oppressive pressure in the fourth courtyard dissipated significantly with the tolling of the bell.

Alvin Morgan glanced at Aurora Sinclair, a smile in his eyes. "Let’s go..."

As they stepped into the courtyard, they saw several figures hurrying over from one direction, led by Hugo Lowell.

He first inspected the Big Bronze Bell. Seeing that it was undamaged, he then turned to make small talk with Alvin Morgan.

Alvin Morgan cut straight to the chase. "Patriarch Lowell, Aurora’s junior brother and nanny were taken by the Lowell Family."

Hugo Lowell’s smile faded. "Young Lord Morgan, do you have any proof?"

"There was just an attempted kidnapping. The participants have all been arrested, and every one of their confessions names Miss Eve Lowell of the Lowell Family as the mastermind."

Hugo Lowell snorted. "Nonsense—"

"Then we’ll search first and talk after."

"Who dares—" Hugo Lowell’s face hardened as he unleashed the Power of a Grandmaster. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

The pressure in the courtyard suddenly intensified. Aurora Sinclair looked in a particular direction, her eyes narrowing as she said calmly, "Hand over my junior brother."

Her voice, laced with Power, instantly shattered the Power-domain of the Lowell Family’s Martial King.

In the corner, Marshall Lowell’s expression changed drastically. He could feel his own blood begin to roil.

’That girl is...’

Aurora Sinclair advanced slowly, her face a mask of killing intent. "Where is my junior brother?"

With every word she spoke, the wall behind Hugo Lowell seemed to be struck by a heavy hammer, emitting a dull THUD.

Hugo Lowell, for his part, felt as if he were bound in place. The surrounding pressure crushed down on his muscles and bones, and his entire body began to tremble uncontrollably.

"Please show mercy—" Marshall Lowell’s voice arrived with the wind from his palm strike.

But Aurora Sinclair met his palm with a direct punch, forcing Marshall Lowell back several steps before he could regain his footing.

He stared at her, his eyes wide with horror.

This sudden turn of events made the expressions of the other Grandmasters change, and a storm of shock raged within them.

"Hand over my junior brother—"

This time, the force of her voice alone made Hugo Lowell’s blood roil so violently that he spat out a mouthful of blood.

"He’s... not... here..."

Aurora Sinclair’s eyes darkened. She suddenly flashed in front of the nearby Grandmasters, striking at each of their Energy Sea Acupoints with a single punch.

"Stop—"

Marshall Lowell suddenly lunged, seizing Alvin Morgan by the neck. At the same instant, Aurora Sinclair grabbed Hugo Lowell by one of his vital points.

Alvin Morgan’s fair face instantly turned crimson.

"Young Master—" The Morgans’ expressions changed drastically. They whipped out their weapons and aimed them at the Lowell Family’s Martial King.

Marshall Lowell glanced at the weapons in their hands, his expression darkening. He had no desire to make an enemy of the Morgan Family.

His tone softened slightly. "How about we sit down and discuss this?"

"Let him go."

"Fine. But you have to let him go, too..."

They released their holds simultaneously, pushing their captives toward each other.

Panic flashed in Aurora Sinclair’s eyes as she opened her arms to catch Alvin Morgan’s limp body.

"Morgan, are you okay?"

"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH... I’m fine..." Alvin Morgan coughed nonstop, as if trying to hack up a lung.

Aurora Sinclair’s eyes grew cold. With a flick of her wrist, a tyrannical wave of Power shot toward Hugo Lowell. Alarmed, Marshall Lowell quickly threw out a palm strike, barely managing to block the attack.

"You..."

"Hand them over, or the Lowell Family will be destroyed—"

Two hours later, after her appearance had been tidied up, Indie Lowell finally saw Titus Miles, hugging his small frame tightly as she burst into tears.

Butler Lowell urged from the doorway, "Eldest Miss, you need to hurry! If you delay any longer, the Family Head will be crippled."

Indie Lowell wiped her eyes, forced herself to her feet, and staggered out with Titus Miles.

Titus Miles looked up and asked, "Aunty, is... is Senior Sister here?"

"Yes, she’s here." A slow smile spread across her lips.

’The Lowell Family. She could finally be free of them for good.’

The Lowell Family Council Hall.

Eve Lowell knelt on the floor, her face a mask of utter despair.

The moment she saw Aurora Sinclair sitting in the council hall as an equal to her great-grandfather, she knew it was all over.

In the Martial World, the Lowell Family was known for prizing strength above all else, and all seating was arranged accordingly. Even guests from the Morgan Family would be given subordinate seats. But today, another chair had been placed at the head of the hall...

"Eve Lowell, do you confess your crimes?" demanded Third Master Lowell, the stern head of the family’s Disciplinary Hall.

The Disciplinary Hall was the place all Lowell disciples feared most. Any who broke the rules, whether from the core lineage or a branch family, would be brought there for punishment.

Eve Lowell replied in a trembling voice, "I do not."

The words had barely left her lips when a palm strike sent a wave of force crashing into her, knocking her from her kneeling position to the ground.

"You hired assailants to harm others. Do you confess?"

"It wasn’t me." Eve Lowell wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and forced herself up, gritting her teeth.

But another wave of force from a palm strike sent her down again. "Then why did they all say you were the one who gave the orders?"

"I don’t know..."

Eve Lowell was defiant, refusing to confess.

Seeing this, one of the Lowells spoke up. "Young Lord Morgan, could there be some misunderstanding here?"

Alvin Morgan chuckled. "A misunderstanding? An investigation will soon tell."

The Lowells were furious but dared not speak their minds. After all, a veritable god of slaughter was seated among them.

The Lowell Family’s Martial King glanced at Aurora Sinclair and said evenly, "If a member of my Lowell Family truly committed this crime, we will show no leniency. However, if she was framed, I trust Young Lord Morgan will see that justice is served."

"Of course." Alvin Morgan’s voice was cold, making Eve Lowell, still on the floor, tremble. She raised her head to look at him, a self-mocking smile on her lips. There is no greater sorrow than a heart that has already died.

’This man had never once given her a proper look.’

The council hall grew quiet, the silence broken only by the occasional sound of someone sipping tea.

Everyone wore an indifferent expression. No one looked at Eve Lowell on the floor, as if she no longer had anything to do with the Lowell Family.

Aurora Sinclair suddenly asked, "Where are they?"

The Lowells in the hall flinched. Third Master Lowell, seated in a subordinate position, immediately replied, "They’ll be here any moment. Please, be patient for just a little longer."

Hearing her family’s perpetually stern Third Grand-uncle speak so deferentially to Aurora Sinclair, Eve Lowell could only laugh bitterly to herself.

’If I’d known, I never would have provoked her. I would have stayed as far away from her as possible.’

"Aurora Sinclair... I have... a few words... I want to say to you..."

Eve Lowell suddenly pushed herself up, her gaze fixed on Aurora Sinclair.

"Insolence—"

Third Master Lowell roared at her, but Aurora Sinclair didn’t object. "Go on."

"Can... can you... come closer?"

Blood trickled continuously from the corner of her mouth. Her brow was tightly furrowed, and the arms supporting her body trembled, as if she were enduring immense pain.

Seeing this, Third Master Lowell moved to strike again, but Aurora Sinclair caught his arm.

She moved so fast it startled everyone. Marshall Lowell, who was raising a cup to his lips, froze, horrified.

’Her power is on a completely different level from mine.’

Aurora Sinclair released him and slowly crouched down to look at the other woman.

"A little... closer..."

Aurora Sinclair leaned in, and a muffled voice whispered in her ear, "I... lost... but I curse you... You’ll never be together... HAHAHAHA..."

She burst into crazed laughter, which was cut short when Third Master Lowell chopped the back of her neck, knocking her unconscious.

"My apologies, Miss Sinclair..."

A flash of annoyance crossed Aurora Sinclair’s eyes. She pressed her lips together and stood up, her expression even colder than before.

The pressure in the entire room dropped to a critical point, as if a single spark could set it all off.

Everyone from the Lowell Family was breathing carefully, terrified of provoking this terrifying woman.

Finally, footsteps were heard outside. The Lowells’ eyes lit up, and they breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Titus Miles’s eyes were a little swollen and his face was dirty, but he was otherwise uninjured. Indie Lowell, however, was as pale as paper. There were still wet bloodstains at the corners of her mouth and on her clothes; it was obvious she had sustained severe internal injuries.

She had made it here on sheer willpower alone, as the Lowell Family had not treated her injuries. The place she had woken up was the family’s private dungeon, where they imprisoned their own wayward members.

Aurora Sinclair quickly caught Indie’s swaying body, swiftly pushed a pellet of internal injury medicine into her mouth, then held her breath and pressed a finger to her Energy Sea Acupoint, slowly channeling her Power into her.

Marshall Lowell shot a glance at Indie Lowell, his eyes filled with suppressed rage. ’This unfilial whelp brings nothing but shame to the family,’ he thought. ’If it weren’t for the outsiders here, I’d strike her dead with a single blow.’

"Miss Sinclair, it is time for you to fulfill your promise. We released them. Now, you will treat my son’s internal injuries."

Aurora Sinclair’s lips tightened, but she said nothing, continuing to treat Indie Lowell.

"Miss Sinclair, do you intend to go back on your word?" Marshall Lowell’s tone was menacing.

Aurora Sinclair spun around and flicked her wrist. A tyrannical wave of Power shot directly at Marshall Lowell.

His face contorted in shock as he instantly dodged to the side.

With a loud BANG, a fist-sized hole was punched clean through the wall where he had just been standing.

Panic flashed in Marshall Lowell’s eyes as he demanded angrily, "What is the meaning of this?"
