My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!-Chapter 85- Virgo’s Belief (Part 1)
Chapter 85- Virgo’s Belief (Part 1)
*Location: Southern Forest*
"..."
It was night, and the weather was cold as usual within the silent forest. However, that night, the cabin within the woods was particularly active. The light was on, and there were several cars parked in front of it. Inside were a dozen Vampire Hunters, all searching the entire cabin for any clues.
They have been doing that for the past few hours without any actual success. They hoped they would find a trace of their target if they looked deep enough. However, they have underestimated how powerful this vampire was.
They didn’t even leave a single trace of Energy in the air, let alone a physical trace.
"Sir, we haven’t found anything." One of the men walked out to talk to the leader of the group, who was standing outside near the stairs, staring into the sky.
Virgo had been there the entire time, just staring into the distance without uttering a single word. He didn’t even seem that interested in the task he was handed, and he left it to his followers.
"That vampire either didn’t come here, or he is extremely good at hiding his traces rapidly." He said with a frown on his face.
"..." Virgo didn’t move or react to his words as he sat there.
"What should we do now, sir?" He asked.
Still no reply. Instead, Virgo stood up and looked at the man. His cold, icy stare made the man flinch in fear. It was like someone enclosed him in an icy cube with no escape. A very terrifying stare.
Then, Virgo turned around and started walking away, disappearing into the forest as if nothing happened.
"What is he planning?" The man rubbed his head before he turned around and walked inside again. This was how Virgo usually was, silent and weird, yet gets stuff done somehow. Nobody truly understood him or how his mind worked.
In any case, he cannot stop him or hinder him. He assumed that Virgo discovered something and left to check it.

*Swish*
Cutting through the thick forest like a flash, Virgo jumped from one tree branch to another at a horrifyingly fast speed. He was extremely nimble, barely touching one branch before moving to the other as if he was teleporting from one place to another.
Eventually, he stopped at a random branch and looked around him. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as he scanned the area. His sharp eyes seemingly stared far beyond any normal human could ever.
His eyes subtly squinted as they locked on one particular spot before he dashed forward, jumping from one tree to another until he landed right before the spot. There, he saw it...
A pool of dried blood, one that seemed to be a few days old. He stared at it silently for a while before he looked up and around him.
His senses picked up another thing not that far away from there. So, he moved there, and soon enough, he saw a dead corpse of a monster lying on the ground.
Its head was severed cleanly, indicating that it was killed with a sword.
"Hm." He hummed faintly, as if he realized what could have happened. Then, he looked up again, ready to search for more clues.
However, at that moment, out of nowhere, he heard a noise. Looking over his shoulder, he saw a creature suddenly emerge out of nowhere as it attacked him. It was one of the same kind as the dead monster.
It screeched loudly, shaking the entire forest as it rushed toward him. It didn’t even stop to understand the kind of enemy it was attacking, and it simply stretched its arm to attack him.
Yet, before the monster could even touch him. Suddenly, out of nowhere, it disintegrated. In a split second, it turned from a full body into white stuff... Snow.
The snow slowly descended to the ground, resting on it silently. The monster was nowhere to be seen anymore. It all happened without the need for Virgo to even lift a finger or do anything.
He stared at the snow and then turned around to look for more clues. This was clearly the work of the Vampire, as these creatures weren’t natives to this forest. He knew of all the species of creatures that invaded this world, and these weren’t one of them.
Standing there, he examined the area, making sure no more of these were around. Except that he discovered something completely different.
One that made his eyes darken considerably. Quickly, he moved his hand to the side as a blue blade formed in his hand. His aura flared up, freezing the environment around him.
Something was coming his way... And it wasn’t these weak monsters.
A second of silence later, he noticed something move nearby. It was subtle and barely noticeable, but Virgo saw it.
A shadow had moved in the background and it wasn’t a normal movement.
*Swish*
Suddenly, out of thin air, a black spike shot at him from close distance. It moved extremely fast, cutting through the air quietly. There was no time to react at all... Well, for anyone who isn’t Virgo.
His head tilted to the side, dodging the spike even though it came at him from his blind spot. He then turned around quickly and flicked an ice shard toward the source of the attack, hoping to catch it.
The shard flew and planted into a tree. Virgo then quickly turned around, at the exact moment when two other spikes flew at him. With a quick move, faster than the eye could see, he dodged the two and then dashed forward, slicing with his sword.
He could tell there was someone around him, but he couldn’t see them, and they were moving extremely fast.
Before he could even counter, more and more spikes shot at him from every angle. They were incredibly quiet and fast, so a normal person would be long dead. But, Virgo’s sharp senses kept him alert and ready.
He ducked and dodged precisely, moving his body in an elegant manner. Not a single spike touched him let alone injured him.
At the same time, the young man started freezing the ground beneath him. The ice spread rapidly around him, covering a huge area and freezing everything within it. Steam rose from the ice, covering the area.
His eyes shot around left and right as he looked for something. Eventually, he saw it... Traces of footsteps on the ice as the silhouette tried to run away.
Quickly, Virgo switched his body as he dashed forward, dodging the spikes as he ran. He locked on the target and lifted his hand, creating an ice wall around it to stop it from escaping.
Virgo was certain he had trapped. It cannot escape his ice, and it certainly cannot attack him. He had outplayed it.
Reaching the wall, he blasted through it and then froze everything inside, making sure to freeze the target too.
Finally, he stopped and looked inside. The spikes had stopped trying to attack him, indicating that he had gotten the target.
At the same time, he saw a completely black silhouette inside, trapped in ice.
Virgo had won the fight... Or so he thought until he saw that silhouette suddenly start melting in real time.
