My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!-Chapter 83- Blood Technique (Part 1)
Chapter 83- Blood Technique (Part 1)
"Try to swing the sword now," Fiona said as she crossed her arms.
Elio nodded and stood up before he took a few steps away and then gripped the sword with both hands. His body and mind recalled the first time he held a sword the other day, and he naturally got into the most comfortable position he learned on his own.
Sucking a deep breath, he stepped forward and swung the sword down with all the power he could muster. The blade made a sharp sound as it cut through the air. It was quite fast for a beginner, and for a normal person, the swing would’ve appeared like a flash to the naked eye.
However, for Fiona, it appeared so slow that it might as well be in slow motion. She still nodded her head.
"How is it?"
"It’s really nice. I love how easy it is to swing and how powerful it still feels. It’s so balanced that I can even use it with one hand." He said as he moved it from one hand to the other, feeling the weight of the sword.
"Good, that sword can be used with one hand and with two. You can also hold it in reverse if you need it for any kind of situation, and it can also be used to thrust. It is very versatile." Fiona explained.
"I feel like I can achieve my style with this sword. Mhm! I choose it! I want this one." He said.
"We will be using it to train them. Once you learn how to properly use it, we will get you a good sword. For now, follow me."
She said as she stood up and walked away. Elio nodded and moved after her. The two walked into the gym section of the penthouse. It was shockingly huge for a personal gym with all the possible equipment needed to train.
"So, what you are going to do is learn what we call ’Blood Techniques’."
"Blood Techniques? What are these?"
"Blood Techniques are martial arts that use your Blood Energy as a catalyst. They are different from runes in the sense that you can’t really just acquire them, and you have to learn them with constant practice. They are, however, as essential as Runes in the sense that they are also a foundation for your fighting style."
"I see... Martial arts, huh?" Elio rubbed his head. "And what kind of martial arts am I supposed to learn?"
"We will be starting with two main ones. One that is more hand-to-hand combat, and the other is specific to your sword. Both are necessary since they will lay the path for you to simply learn and expand your knowledge in the future."
"And what are these techniques called? Wait, do they even have a name?"
"Yes. The hand-to-hand combat technique is called ’Red Claw Technique’. As for the sword technique, well, it is called..." Fiona seemingly pursed her lips for a second. "Well, ’The Blood Wave Technique’."
"Blood Wave?" Elio raised an eyebrow.
"Yes. It is a technique that someone I know created a long time ago."
"Wait, what?! You knew the person who created this technique? That sounds so cool!" Elio beamed happily.
"Yeah... Sigh, in any case, both techniques are highly versatile and could also be considered as a stepping stone toward more complex and stronger techniques. They teach you all the basics and requirements to be able to start practicing other things in the future."
"So that’s why you said these are the perfect ones for me?"
"Exactly, and well, I honestly think you would be able to learn them in record time with how fast you are able to learn everything." She said.
’I wouldn’t be surprised if he somehow figures it out in hours.’ She laughed to herself, realizing how truly ridiculous her expectations were, and yet they still sounded completely possible and perhaps even underestimating Elio still.
"Well, there is no point in wasting more time; we will immediately start. Go get changed." She said.
"Understood!"

After changing into the training clothes, the two stood in the middle of the gym.
"So, the first technique is one that relies on palm strikes, focused punches, and kicks. Your aim is to target one point in your target and deliver as much devastating damage to it as possible. That way, you can weaken them greatly without exhausting yourself too much. It also narrows down your options and makes it easier to make a plan quickly."
"I see... But, why would I need hand-to-hand combat when I have my sword?" Elio asked.
"Because you won’t always have your sword with you. There will come a time when you don’t have a weapon, and you need to fight for your life, so you need to be aware of that." She said. "Now, we will begin by demonstrating the kind of attacks you need to learn."
As Fiona was speaking, she slowly changed her posture. "Watch carefully."
Her body moved smoothly, taking a different stance. Then, she moved her fist forward, putting it a bit below her head level.
Her eyes grew sharper and more focused. Then, out of nowhere...
*Swish* 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
She moved like a lightning bolt, delivering a powerful strike. Her arm barely moved, and yet the air whistled from that attack. Everything happened faster than Elio could even see.
He blinked slowly, stunned at what he witnessed.
"That is a fist attack. As for the palm strike." She spoke. "It is similar in essence, but you need to use the lower part of your palm as the source of power rather than your full hand. Like this."
*Swish*
She moved again, delivering a strong hit that sent a powerful air gush.
’All of that with her bare hands...’ Elio shuddered. ’What kind of monstrous power is this?’
"The same for the kick."
*Swish*
"It’s a lot harder than the other two, but once you learn it, it can even be used along with your sword technique."
"..."
"I get that it’s a bit overwhelming at the start. But we can start with simple movements. Now, take a stance." She said.
Shaking the confusion away, Elio took a roughly similar stance to what he had just seen.
"No, I want you to put your balance on your feet," Fiona said as she approached him and pushed his leg a bit forward with her thigh. Then, she put her hand on his arm and moved it a bit. "Like this, so you can see your own fist and your enemy at the same time."
"I-I see..."
Then, she went on to do several more adjustments, touching Elio everywhere while the latter was barely able to stay calm. Fiona didn’t seem bothered whatsoever, and her intent focus on helping him made him realize how much she wanted him to learn.
So, he erased those thoughts and focused.
After those adjustments, Elio was standing in a completely different way.
"I want you to memorize that stance and make sure to learn how to get into it every time." She said. "Once you master it, you can deliver these strikes even when you aren’t in a stance."
Elio looked at his body silently, analyzing every bit of information and storing it in his head. His strong memory served him greatly at that moment.
