My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!-Chapter 69- My Partner
Chapter 69- My Partner
"E... lio?" Fiona called for him, but the boy didn’t reply. Her face darkened visibly, worry clear in her eyes. The boy’s injuries had finally caught up to him, and he apparently fainted. Still, her heart squeezed with worry as she watched him there, unable to do anything about it.
"Elio... Elio..." She called for him, in hopes of his hearing her voice. But, to no avail, the boy was completely out of it. But, at the same time, she could see faint blood traces around him, indicating that he was still bleeding.
’He had sustained so many injuries... Even absorbing the blood didn’t help much. Dammit, he needs immediate help.’ She cursed inwardly as she looked outside. There were no signs of her people coming yet.
’Move... I need to move!’
But her spine hasn’t healed yet; she was completely paralyzed from head to toe. She cannot even move her arm. All she could do was push her aura toward Elio to make sure his heart was beating, and he was alive.
Luckily, that was the case. However, she didn’t know how long he could hold on before receiving medical care. So, for long, grueling minutes, she waited, hoping help would come any time.
She kept staring at the cave’s entrance, religiously. An hour passed, then two hours, then three, and Fiona’s nerve reached a point where she was barely keeping her composure. She wanted to curse Alfred for taking his time to find her, but she knew that finding them in this forest wasn’t easy, even with a tracker.
It was extremely vast and hard to navigate. She tried to remain calm and wait patiently. But, deep inside, she wished she could stand up and rush toward Elio to heal him. It doesn’t matter if she was still in a critical state; she needed to save him at all costs.
After what he had done, she truly owes him her life and more. What he had done for her from the moment she got stabbed till now, she could not put into words. He had risked his life, not having any hope of survival other than his desire to keep her alive. Nobody gave her such unconditional treatment before.
It completely messed up her mind and heart. She couldn’t wrap her head around it. All she could do was keep thinking about it as if that was the only thing she could do.
Eventually, something snapped her out of her daze. A noise outside. She looked up, a bit afraid that it might be a monster or worse... That man they saw earlier. But, luckily, when the sound got closer, she relaxed as she realized what it was.
A helicopter.
Then, she saw the grass outside starting to rustle and move as the sound of the aircraft’s wings took over the world. It descended slowly in the open field before the door opened, and Alfred rushed out in a hurry.
"My lady!!!" He yelled in deep horror. Entering the cave, he stopped, frozen in shock. The smell of blood filled the entire place, and it was horrid. Then, he saw piles and piles of monsters everywhere.
Then, he saw Fiona lying against the wall, drowning in her own blood. His face paled as he approached her in a hurry.
"Oh my lord!" He muttered in shock as he checked her condition. "What happened, my lady?! Who had done this to you?! We need to get you out of here immediately!" The man said with a completely uncharacteristic panic. There was a gaping hole in his lady’s stomach.
He didn’t understand what could even do such a thing to her. She was way stronger than anything that could be living in this forest. A million thoughts crossed his mind, but he wiped them all off and focused on the most important one... Getting his lady immediate help.
But the girl stopped him as she looked at Elio. "El...io... He... needs... help too..." She muttered with great difficulty.
"Huh?"
The butler looked up as he realized what she meant. Elio also fainted on the other side.
’What the hell happened here?’ The man frowned deeply before he quickly called for the other people on the helicopter to get down. A group of medics rushed out into the cave.
Seeing that scene, all of Fiona’s strength finally started seeping away. She trusted that Alfred would take care of the rest. All her pain, exhaustion, physical and mental, took over, and she closed her eyes, falling into deep sleep.

"Mmmm..."
It was hot... Burning hot...
Fiona’s eyes opened slowly, her head still hazy. She looked around her, expecting to see a familiar environment. But, instead, what welcomed her was a completely different sight. Fire... Fire everywhere...
The waves of heat coming from this large flame kept lashing at her face, making her instinctively cover it with her own hand. Staring through the brightness, she saw a glimpse of what this fire was eating away, and it only made her eyes widen.
It was her house... The Vaylor Estate. She was standing before the mansion as the large red flames completely destroyed it, leaving nothing behind. Not even the trees or the grass, everything was being wiped from existence.
"What is happening?" She muttered.
"It all happened because of me... *Hick* It’s all because of me..."
Then, another shocking sight appeared in her vision. Before the gates of the mansion, she saw a girl, curled up, crying silently.
"..." Fiona’s eyes widened slowly as she realized who that person was. Instinctively, she started walking toward the crying girl until she stood next to her.
The girl wept loudly, her voice shaking the entire world, even against the sound of the mansion collapsing and the fire burning brightly.
"..." Fiona stared at the girl, or in other words, herself... with a deep confusion. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"I’m the one at fault... I’m at fault... I have done it all..." Finally, the girl punched the ground as she revealed her face. That was when she saw it... A face that was completely covered in blood. Her eyes were not familiar, her lips were peeled off, and her nose was broken. She looked wretched.
A face so demonic, so horrifying that her heart leaped out of her chest and she suddenly snapped out of it, the world disappearing from her vision completely.
Opening her eyes again, she was met with a white light.
She stared around her, in complete shock. It was her room, and it was morning... The sun was peeking through the window, and the birds whistled nicely. It took her several seconds to understand what happened before she finally rose from the bed.
’A nightmare?’ She frowned. ’What an odd nightmare... I didn’t have one in ages.’ She muttered. Seeing herself bloody and crying, that sight was perhaps the weirdest dream she had ever experienced.
As she sat there, trying to understand what happened, another idea almost instantly popped up.
"Elio!" She snapped and quickly tried to leave the bed. She had to find him immediately. However, the door opened at that moment, and Alfred walked in.
"Oh? You’re awake, my lady?" He asked as he stopped. "Are you feeling any pain anywhere? Do you need anything?"
"... No, I’m fine. For how long did I sleep?"
"The entire day, my lady. It’s Monday today. 9:03 AM to be exact."
’Tsk, I slept for so long.’ She clicked her tongue.
"And where is Elio? Is he fine?" She asked.
"Yes, he’s sleeping in the guest room. He had sustained some very heavy injuries and had also depleted all his Blood Energy. It is a miracle he was able to survive that." The man said. "He had lost more than 60% of his blood."
