My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 125: The Shapeshifter & The Makeshift War Room
That was its power, shapeshifting into anyone Hector had ever seen or encountered before.
Although its summoner had never actually seen these students in person before today, but with the memories inserted into his mind by Greta, the condition for his summon’s skill had been fulfilled.
The summon stopped swapping forms after cycling through several more faces and returned to its original shadowy mass.
Hector then activated his Borrow skill, taking on his summon’s shapeshifting ability.
And just like Morthorz, he shifted forms seamlessly through several different people before finally settling on one last transformation: Ethan Stark, complete with his outfit.
He grinned before speaking in his voice, "Do I sound like you would remember this boy?"
Dante stared at him for a second before saying, "Close."
In the retrieved thoughts Greta had pulled from Dante’s mind earlier, he could remember what Ethan sounded like making those bids, and all of that information had transferred to Hector.
Which would reflect accordingly in his shapeshifting ability as well.
Lucien nodded in approval.
Hector then asked, "What’s the job? What crime are we framing him for?"
This wasn’t Hector’s first rodeo with the usage of his summon’s ability. He had played this game before, shifting into the faces of targets to ruin reputations, or set up elaborate schemes that left investigators chasing ghosts.
But Lucien shook his head. "It’s pointless. Aside from this kid being the head of House Stark, he also has the princess and the King’s sister at his call."
Lucien then turned toward his nephew and said, "Dante."
Dante explained. "If the witch cast her spell right, you should see he spent a lot of time with a certain girl."
A brief memory flashed through Hector’s mind. Ethan had his arm extended protectively in front of a girl who had also girl stepped behind him when Dante had called forth Bierzim.
Hector’s lips curved into a smile as his form shifted into Bettie’s face perfectly.
"This one?" Hector asked as he glanced at Dante with a hint of amusement. "You paid attention to him quite a lot."
Dante’s face remained expressionless. "That is how prey is observed."
Lucien then spoke up again. "Perhaps this girl will be of some use to luring Ethan out."
Hector shifted back into his normal form and inclined his head respectfully. "I understand."
Then he turned and walked out of the room as Greta followed behind him.
——
A while later, a vintage sedan pulled over to the curb just outside Belsorth Academy. In the back seat was Hector and Greta, who both watching the entrance.
From the tinted window, they could see students getting in through the main gates in small clusters. Today was the final day of activity for the academy week before the students could go on a much-deserved weekend break.
Just before Hector moved to leave, Greta said, "Hold on."
She raised one hand and summoned a faint magic circle over her palm, attempting the scrying spell on Ethan once again.
After a moment, she shook her head. "He isn’t here."
It may not have been authorized by Lucien initially, but due to Casper’s sudden decision to visit the Stark manor yesterday, they now knew what sort of interference was in play around Ethan.
That barrier spell wasn’t just defensive. It concealed him from scrying attempts as well. Which meant Ethan had to stay behind it if he wanted to remain hidden from their eyes.
As Hector reached for the door handle to leave, Greta added one more thing: "The princess is also a student of this school."
It was her way of trying to warn him without being too direct about it.
Hector let out a light laugh. "Heh."
Then he opened the door and stepped out. The figure that emerged from the car wasn’t Hector anymore, but rather the shapeshifted form of Ethan Stark himself, dressed in a three piece suit and looking exactly like the real thing down to every last detail.
He walked through the gates without issue, blending seamlessly into the small crowd of students making their way inside.
After spending a few minutes chatting casually with a handful of students and observing the general movement patterns around campus, he was able to determine where the final-year students were supposed to be.
Which made sense since this Ethan was a final year himself according to the memories Greta had pulled from Dante’s mind.
Eventually, he came upon the classroom designated for final-year students and paused just outside the doorway to glance inside first.
There was barely anyone in class at all.
The thing was, the final years were set to graduate one week from today, and the academy had nothing more in particular to offer them in the line of studies at this point. Most of what remained were formalities and wrap-up events rather than actual lessons or training sessions.
So most students saw no real need to show up today. Even Lucy Hargreeves wasn’t here at this time today despite usually being punctual about attendance.
Bettie, however, was one of the exceptions. As always, she showed up regardless of necessity and was seated in her usual corner close to the window.
It hadn’t been quite long since she arrived herself judging by how she still had her bag resting on top of her desk instead of placed beneath it.
Her face lit up when she saw "Ethan" standing in the doorway, and she gave him a small wave with a smile on her face.
"Ethan" smiled back at her warmly and muttered under his breath, "I believe that’s my target."
Then he walked over toward her corner.

Meanwhile, back at the manor, and at a period in time when it was almost noon, the living room had been converted into a makeshift war room.
On the table was a very large map of the city, with its edges weighted down by a few small objects to keep it from curling. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Ethan was dressed in a simple white shirt left unbuttoned at the collar and black trousers with a black overcoat over his shoulders.
Isabella was standing close by in an elegant white blouse, paired with fitted black trousers. Instead of being at the academy today, she had Rayleigh drive her straight to Ethan’s manor.
She was going to join in the efforts to take down the League today.
