My Tribrid System: More than a Monster-Chapter 148: Go to Hell
Chapter 146
"Atta boys~ I can do this all day."
The metas immediately ignited their superspeed to bridge the gap between themselves and the boy, who stood with unwavering confidence, maintaining a firm stance and a cocky smirk.
In less than a second, they had already crossed the distance, their fists whistling through the air toward him with blistering velocity.
As grade five meta-humans, they possessed the raw quickness to take almost anyone by surprise—even those of a significantly higher grade—with their overwhelming momentum.
So why....?
... Why was the kid in front of them capable of dodging their coordinated strikes as if he were observing their movements in slow motion?
With a casual, rhythmic lean of his frame, Felix watched as the punches struck only empty air where his head had been a mere heartbeat ago, leaving a dull ring in their wake.
Rising back to an upright position, Felix lunged, aiming to seize their outstretched limbs.
However, the guards were quick to react, leaping away instinctively to put distance between themselves and the youth.
Their retreat was met with the sight of two glowing lines of obsidian energy racing toward them with predatory intent.
Reacting in unison, the duo dashed in opposite directions, allowing the energy to tear into the reinforced floor.
The impact kicked up a cloud of debris and left a jagged, lasting trench carved into the masonry.
With a sudden, explosive bend of his body, Felix burst forward.
He caught one of the guards off guard for a split second as his fist rocketed toward the man’s jaw.
The guard managed to shift his hands to intercept the blow, but the moment the punch landed, he immediately regretted his choice.
An agonizing, throbbing pain coursed through his limbs, making it feel as though he had been struck by a massive mason’s hammer.
The ache was excruciating, and the sheer force sent him sliding backward at an uncontrollable, staggering speed. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Wooosh—!
The air pressure around his head shifted violently, forcing Felix to leap aside at the precise moment of impact.
The second meta crashed into the space he had occupied with a descending punch that left a deep gouge in the marble flooring.
The werewolf’s foot shot out toward the guard’s exposed flank, but the first meta—the one he had just struck—darted forward like a loose arrow.
With a desperate burst of strength, the man bashed into the extended leg before tackling the boy toward the ground.
Felix was momentarily stunned by the sudden turn of events.
Forcing himself to snap out of his daze, he looked up to see the man’s fists rushing at him with the speed of lightning.
A flurry of strikes descended upon his face, but with matching intensity, Felix dodged every single blow.
He moved his head with fluid precision, letting the fists strike the hard ground harmlessly beside his ears.
This desperate exchange continued for several seconds as the man struggled to land a decisive hit, yet nothing found its mark.
’What is this? How can a child match me in raw speed? Does he possess the same speed-type ability as we do? Even if he does, why does he seem so much faster?’
Felix simply stared at the man with deep, calculated concentration.
’... Experience. If this guard were a significantly higher grade, I would have sustained a fair number of hits by now.
Having battled werewolves much faster than this, I am able to read and evade his every strike. Though....’
His internal analysis was interrupted as the second meta rushed back into the fray.
The guard launched a descending heel kick toward Felix’s face while the man pinning him down aimed a punch directly at his throat.
Torn between the two simultaneous attacks, it appeared as though the young werewolf was doomed.
And, in that split second, he actually was.
’Shoot. Unfortunately, I can’t use this, otherwise this fight would have been over by now...’
He clicked his tongue as he swiftly crossed his hands above his head, just in time to allow the heel kick from the first guard to land on his forearms.
Gritting his teeth, he held his ground before his leg shot out like a viper from behind.
Bashing his foot into the back of the meta on top of him, he sent the man hurling into the air due to his monstrous strength.
Throwing his hands outward, he sent the meta flipping away from him.
With one sudden burst of speed, Felix bashed his knuckles into the man’s side with raw might.
Crack—!
The man’s body crashed into the ground with heavy force, causing a deep fissure to form beneath him.
Before the werewolf could take a step forward, he was suddenly grabbed from behind by the second guard, locking him in place for a moment.
"Sigh... the boy you beat up is very, very close to my brother, and he deeply cares about him. Yet you lot hurt him badly."
As he spoke, a sudden pressure emanated from his body, his eyes flickering between black and yellow.
The meta-human felt it and instinctively wanted to let go, but gnashing his teeth, he held on and tightened his grip even further.
Tensing his thighs, he pulled Felix off the ground, lifting him into the air for a few seconds before, with all his remaining strength, he fell backward, smashing the boy into the ground with everything he had left.
BANG!
The marble flooring gave way, chunks billowing into the air.
Bryce, who watched, kept grinning from ear to ear.
’No way a sixteen-year-old will be able to survive that stri—’
"That all...?"
The grin on Bryce’s face froze in an instant as he heard the voice dripping with disdain.
The next second, Felix’s legs shot out, coiling around the guard’s body, while his arms locked tightly around the man’s neck, pinning him in place.
Blood trickled down the werewolf’s mouth as he held the man firmly, not allowing him even the slightest twitch.
Bryce’s eyes widened at the sight, the hairs on his body rising with every passing second.
’He-He’s not hu-human...’
"...Then you can go to hell." Felix completed his words as he applied pressure with his arms, and with a forceful twist, a loud cracking sound echoed.
The meta-human’s neck bent at an unnatural angle as his body went limp in Felix’s grip.
The werewolf crashed onto his back, panting heavily from the strain of the fight.
’Ack... my head hurts.’
