Chapter 504: Chapter 504: Catching a Cheater

She would definitely attend this award ceremony. Melody Thorne was considering whether to bring the newcomers she signed, to let them walk the red carpet. Maybe they could become famous from just that.

As she was lost in thought, a pair of small hands covered her eyes from behind, and a child’s bossy voice said, "Melody, you promised to spend today with me, and you’re daydreaming again."

Timmy, dissatisfied, said from behind her, "You’re not thinking about why my dad hasn’t come back for two days, are you? Actually, it’s quite simple; maybe my dad’s fallen for someone else."

Timmy showed no mercy in talking about his dad. Well, his dad had hogged Melody Thorne for several days now. The two of them were glued together every day and had completely ignored him, like he was invisible.

The butler’s mouth twitched slightly, "Young Master, it’s not good to talk nonsense like that."

This could possibly lead to trouble.

Timmy snorted; he didn’t care. Wasn’t it said that sons exist to give their dads a hard time? If he didn’t do that, how could he call himself his son?

"Possible," Melody Thorne nodded seriously, quite in agreement with Timmy’s words. "Should we go have a look?"

Timmy: "...Why should we go? But I don’t want to go."

He just wanted Melody Thorne to stay home and keep him company. Why go looking for his dad?

Melody Thorne stood up, her clear eyes flashing with a cold light. "Catch him in the act."

Butler: "..." You actually believe a child’s wild talk?

Melody Thorne drove the car, her long hair cascading down her back. Her large sunglasses nearly covered half of her oval face, and with an air of arrogance, she took Timmy into Quinn Corporation.

"Little Prince?"

"Little Prince?"

The people in the company greeted Timmy with curiosity.

Melody Thorne and Timmy took the CEO’s private elevator up. Just as they exited the elevator, they saw Jared Quinn followed by a group of old executives discussing something important, quickly striding along.

The appearance of Melody Thorne and Timmy caught them off guard.

"Little Prince," many people called out to Timmy.

Their gaze then fell on Melody Thorne, recalling her vigorous note-taking in the meeting room last time.

Jared Quinn naturally saw them too. His formerly stern and resolute face softened unknowingly at their arrival.

"Are you done with your meeting?" Unlike his softened expression, Melody Thorne was fuming.

Those in the company looked at Melody Thorne’s arrogant demeanor, all astonished. Rarely did anyone dare to be so brazen in front of their president.

"If you’re done, come in, we have something to talk about," Melody Thorne gestured with her arm, leading Timmy into the office.

A group of people was all shocked, staring at this scene. Their president was actually given the cold shoulder!

"Cancel all morning meetings, resume in the afternoon," Jared Quinn glanced at his watch and then followed them into the office.

"..."

The spacious, luxurious office. Jared Quinn sat at the desk, the large and small figures across from him cast judgmental looks his way, and he pinched his brow with his big hand.

"Timmy, go find Simon Sutton to play for a bit," Jared Quinn started.

"Why is it always me?" Timmy shot back at his dad unhappily. He had clearly come here with Melody; why did he have to go out alone?

"I asked Simon Sutton to order a model airplane from abroad for you. It can be disassembled, very realistic..."

"Alright, I’ll go." Timmy relented.

Melody Thorne: "..."
