"No, no need, I mean Mrs. Quinn and Grandpa might not agree, they might get angry if they find out I’m not a Thorne daughter."

Jared Quinn’s expression improved significantly. "Don’t worry, I’ve already talked to Grandpa on the phone. In six days, it’ll be his big birthday celebration, and everyone will be there. Melody Thorne stared up at the man in shock. "So you already have everything arranged."

"Yes," Melody put her arm around Timmy, her enchanting eyes occasionally glancing at the man driving ahead. It felt quite strange.

"Still nervous?" Jared Quinn’s gaze caught hers through the rearview mirror, his cold eyes barely revealing a tucked-away smile.

So faint, so light, almost imperceptible.

"No," Melody quickly looked away. "It’s just that if we make our relationship public now, would it be troublesome if we decide to divorce later?"

Jared Quinn’s hidden smile instantly froze at her words, turning to ice.
