My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 396: Heartache
At the door, Finn Thorne saw the phone on the ground that had already been smashed. His anger was triggered instantly. He picked up the phone from the ground. It was the one Melody Thorne gave her mother for her birthday two years ago. Even the phone number was carefully chosen by Melody, yet now it was worthless, thrown to the ground.
"Mom, why don’t we just go to the Quinn Family? You can sever ties with her in person. I want to see what she has to say. Why should we keep swallowing our pride? We should tell everyone at the Quinns that I am the eldest daughter of the Thorne Family and have them kick Melody out."
"Rochelle, there’s no rush for this matter. We’ve just arrived here, and we need to settle for a bit," Mrs. Thorne said.
At the door, Finn Thorne’s face was already as dark as it could get.
Looking at the Thorne Family of the past and comparing it to now, there was no sign of a family anymore.
"Settle? If we wait any longer, the golden bachelor I’m eyeing will have the next generation with that woman. Mom, you promised when you recognized me that you’d give me whatever I wanted. How can you forget that now?"
"This..." Mrs. Thorne was conflicted. She had always been kind-hearted and loved to spoil her daughters. Before she lost her memory, she used to say yes to everything Melody wanted. Now, she was the same with Rochelle, unable to refuse.
"What do you mean ’this’? She’s not even your daughter. She might as well be from some mistress. I’m your daughter, and I’m unhappy now. You need to care about me. Come on, I want you to cut ties with that woman right now." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Rochelle pulled Mrs. Thorne up, intending to walk outside, when she suddenly saw Finn Thorne standing at the doorway, holding the already shattered phone, rage emanating from him. His handsome face was dark, and his sharp gaze was fixed on Rochelle.
Then he raised his arm and slammed the phone heavily onto the ground in front of Rochelle.
"Ah!" The phone fragments scattered, prompting Rochelle to scream and retreat. "Finn Thorne, what’s wrong with you? Don’t think just because you’re my brother I’ll let you go everywhere."
Finn Thorne clenched his fists tightly, suppressing his anger. His gaze slid past Mrs. Thorne. "Don’t blame me for not warning you both. If you dare to go to the Quinn Family to break ties with Melody Thorne, then you might as well sever ties with me too. You clearly don’t care. Since you both like it here, I’ll leave it to you. I’m out."
"Finn, Finn," Mrs. Thorne was flustered, wanting to chase after Finn as she saw him leave.
Her love for her daughter was deep, but she loved her son just as much. After all, they were both flesh from her body.
"Mom, why bother with him? If he wants to leave, let him. Do you think he’s a good person? I tell you, he indulges in all vices. I’ve asked around; he’s just a little hooligan, not even a proper person."
Mrs. Thorne sighed, overwhelmed with a headache caused by all the commotion.
"Mom, is your headache acting up again? I’ll get some medicine right away." Rochelle hurriedly grabbed the medicine, poured a cup of water, and brought it over. "See, why do you worry about him? If you’re feeling ill, I’m the one by your side. Trust me, cutting ties with that Melody Thorne is definitely the right thing to do."
...
Inside the Quinn Villa.
Leon Rivers looked at the woman opposite him, at a loss. An arm in a sling hung around her neck.
