Chapter 261: Chapter 261: What Are You Doing?

Melody Thorne also noticed his gaze. Was he suspecting that she liked Hans Montrose?

While she was in a daze, Jared Quinn had already stepped upstairs. That large box of things was half the height of a person. Timmy had to stand on a stool to reach it, and it was especially eye-catching.

Jared Quinn walked over and examined each item: men’s ties, belts, shirts, shoes, socks, and some men’s exclusive colognes. There was a full set of shooting gear, with men’s belts being the most abundant.

His large hands gradually clenched into fists.

Hans Montrose and Melody Thorne followed him inside. The entire room was filled with the hostile aura emanating from Jared Quinn.

He was angry.

"Whose are these?" Jared Quinn turned around, his deep and sharp features softened by his spreading anger.

Melody Thorne felt that her relationship with Jared Quinn, at that moment, had become distant again, very distant, as if it had reached across the Marelia.

Hans Montrose walked over and glanced at the items in the box. He knew the source of those items—everything was bought by Melody Thorne intended as gifts for Jared Quinn.

Yet someone did not appreciate them.

"This seems to be something you intended to give me, right?" Hans Montrose took out an item from the box. The packaging was nice and new, clearly recently bought.

Melody Thorne’s eye twitched slightly. Indeed, what Hans Montrose held was something she planned to give him. His arm had been hit by a car, so she bought an arm brace for him. Lately, she had been too close with Jared Quinn and had forgotten about it.

"It’s his?" Jared Quinn’s anger surged. He had a severe psychological boundary, absolutely unwilling to allow a woman who had climbed into his bed to show any concern for another man—not in the slightest.

"It’s his," Melody Thorne casually raised an eyebrow.

"And what about these? Were all of these meant to be gifts for him?" Jared Quinn demanded angrily.

"You’re not allowed to get mad at Melody," Timmy immediately rushed over, shielding Melody Thorne.

"It’s okay, this is an adult matter, Timmy. Be good and go sit over there for a while," Melody Thorne coaxed Timmy to the sofa.

Jared Quinn’s questioning truly pricked at her heart.

Turning back, Melody Thorne, her smile as radiant as a flower, did not directly answer his question. "Whoever you think they’re for, then they’re for that person."

These words were no doubt a stab to Jared Quinn’s heart. He didn’t believe those things were sent by Melody Thorne to him, given how she had treated him like a snake or scorpion before—sending gifts was impossible.

She couldn’t wait to kick him away.

"Of course, if you find them displeasing, I can throw them all away right now," Melody Thorne said, her smile as radiant as a flower. She went over and started dragging the large box of items downstairs.

There was a big trash can at the Thorne Family’s door, it should be able to fit them all.

Jared Quinn wasn’t going to do anything to Melody Thorne; he was simply consumed by anger. Watching her pull the large box of items outside, preparing to throw them away, he thought that Melody Thorne was showing signs of giving in, and he watched with eyes wide open.

"Melody, what are you doing?" Kiki Sutton had already cleaned up the table and looked up to find something seemed off with Melody Thorne.

Melody Thorne gritted her teeth. "Taking out the trash."

Kiki Sutton looked at that large box of "trash" somewhat bewildered. Weren’t those things originally intended to be gifts for Jared Quinn?

Melody Thorne opened the front door and paused, then began throwing them into the trash can one by one.

In the main hall, Jared Quinn sat in the center, his dark eyes locked on the woman outside, watching as she threw the items into the trash can, one after another. Little by little, his anger dissipated.
