My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 258: Surprised or Not? Unexpected or Not?
Kiki Sutton felt Hans Montrose’s gaze leaving her, and she lowered her head, her eyes somewhat evasive.
There came a knock on the door outside.
"I’ll get it." Kiki quickly left the kitchen, and when she saw the people standing outside, she was completely stunned.
The man was much taller than her, standing quietly, dignified and poised, with a little boy at his side.
Their almost identical facial features were mesmerizing just to look at.
"Hello," Jared Quinn said calmly.
Kiki Sutton "!!"
Oh my gosh, a living one.
"Melody," Kiki reacted and immediately ran toward the kitchen.
"What’s wrong?" Melody Thorne frowned, plating the dishes and walking out.
"Jared... Jared... Timmy..." Kiki panted.
Jared... Timmy...? Melody Thorne felt a flash of insight in her mind.
By the time she realized who it might be, the tall and the small already walked in.
Melody Thorne "!!"
"Melody!" Timmy ran over, lifting his little face with a smile and hugging her legs. "My dad said he’s giving you a surprise; do you feel surprised? Unexpected?"
Melody Thorne "..."
This was simply too surprising, too unexpected, and downright frightening.
"Melody, you seem not happy?" Timmy spoke. "Don’t you like me coming over?"
Melody Thorne "...I do, I do."
She felt like crying; how could they come? The secret marriage was supposed to mean not going out together.
"These are your friends; they know about our marriage, no need to hide," Jared Quinn saw through her thoughts, acting like he’s at home, casually taking off his coat and handing it to her while taking the plate from her hand.
The graceful action was like he was addressing his wife, naturally putting the plate on the table.
Melody Thorne "..."
"Mr. Quinn," Hans Montrose came out of the kitchen, his face expressionless.
Jared Quinn nodded lightly, "They’re all Melody’s friends; no need to be formal."
Melody Thorne "..."
"Yes, yes, no need to be formal; after all, they’re all my Melody’s friends," Timmy had already spontaneously sat next to Melody Thorne, his body halfway leaning into hers.
Moreover, Jared Quinn sat on Melody Thorne’s other side, one on the left and one on the right, like protectors in a guarding posture.
Especially Timmy, whose eyes would occasionally look towards Hans Montrose with a vigilant gaze.
In his eyes, any male around Melody Thorne might pose a threat to his position.
Kiki Sutton was stifling laughter beside them; the more she looked at Timmy, the more adorable he seemed, pushing the snacks forward "Timmy, do you like eating this?"
"I do," Timmy earnestly picked up a fork and took a bite, "I like everything you all made today, from now on when you eat together, can you bring me along too?"
Melody Thorne "..."
"Sure, sure, from now on whenever Melody goes out, she should bring you along," Kiki couldn’t help but laugh out loud; this little guy indeed had a cunning type.
Besides Timmy’s voice, no one else was speaking; the atmosphere was somewhat oppressive, Hans Montrose just ate without talking.
"Aren’t you eating?" Melody Thorne nudged the man beside her, trying to make conversation.
Jared Quinn shot her a glance, his deep voice somewhat seductive, "I was too tired last night."
Melody Thorne "...Oh, right, you were dealing with documents."
Jared Quinn casually cast another glance at her, but this one carried a bit of danger; is she worried about Hans Montrose overthinking?
"The neckline is too low," Jared Quinn spoke, his large hand already reaching for her neckline while Kiki Sutton and Hans Montrose looked over after hearing.
PS: Yesterday the home broadband broke down, left me a bit skeptical about life...
