My Skill Bar is Full of Monster Skills-Chapter 221 - 154: Brotherhood Above Treasure
Amidst the appearance of flames underfoot, the swiftly moving figure was chased by at least thirty to forty fully armed Gray Dwarf Warriors.
The opponent’s armor was silver-gray, reflecting a cold light under the occasional illumination of fire.
Like waves of silver-gray, they surged toward them.
Priest Achel felt as if a bucket of ice water had been poured over him, jolting him awake!
Because the number of Gray Dwarf Warriors in front of them was beyond what a few individuals could handle.
His first thought was, ’Where is the captain?’
The second thought was, ’Fight or flee?’
The first question could no longer be considered.
As for the second question....
Being a Priest of the Divine Hall of Dawn who believes in Lathander, Achel quickly resolved with determination under his inner struggle.
Dawn symbolizes the light after the darkness.
And the core teaching of the Divine Hall of Dawn revolves around this, teaching followers—
’Do not fear challenges! Just like how light will eventually come after dawn!’
’Hold onto hope in desperate situations!’
’Never give up!’
Therefore, upon looking at the scroll in his hand, Achel immediately made a decision.
After all, with a Fourth Level Spell Any Door Scroll at hand, they were not in a desperate situation!
Moreover, fleeing without resistance, as a teammate, as a priest of the Divine Hall of Dawn, was unacceptable to him internally.
"Manning! Circle around!"
Priest Achel shouted loudly.
"Malok! Retreat while fighting!"
After speaking, Achel instinctively cast a First Level Divine Art ’Devout Shield’ on Malok!
His ample adventure experience helped him instantly select the most suitable Divine Art for half-Beastman Warrior Malok.
A bluish shimmering halo appeared around Malok’s body.
Enhanced, half-Beastman Malok showed great valor, charging straight at the dozens of fully armed Gray Dwarves!
"White-skinned dwarves!"
"Go to hell!"
Malok’s muscles bulged, as he swung his giant axe in a 180-degree rotation, carving a bright blade arc in the midair while sweeping the front area.
"Clang~"
Though four to five Gray Dwarf Warriors held shields, this fierce blow sent them flying several meters!
Even more Gray Dwarves quickly pounced forward, but the situation at least slightly improved.
Priest Achel could not help but sigh in relief.
Devout Shield significantly increases physical defense, which is the most suitable damage-reduction Divine Art against a large group of Gray Dwarf Warriors.
After casting Devout Shield, Achel prepared to perform a second Divine Art.
He wanted to cast Shielding Art on the evasive Fire Mage Manning, to prevent him from Gray Dwarves’ ranged attacks.
Just then, suddenly!
He heard a familiar cry of agony and unwillingness from the half-Beastman Warrior.
Achel looked up sharply.
The half-Beastman teammate who had just wreaked havoc was now flying high in the air, vomiting blood profusely!
The light of the Devout Shield he had just cast had completely disappeared from his body.
"Broken?"
With focused vision, he saw a Gray Dwarf in pale gold armor, clearly of formidable energy, coming into view.
From the gesture of wielding hammers with both hands, it was evident that sending his half-Beastman Warrior Malok flying was this opponent’s work.
To shatter a Devout Shield in one blow and send a Classes Level-five half-Beastman Warrior flying?
Classes Level eight, or nine?
Achel also noticed that after sending Malok flying with a single blow, the opponent did not pursue, opting instead to fire a signal flare into the sky.
Clearly, already able to encircle them, yet still calling for reinforcements?
This gave Achel a very bad feeling immediately.
"Quick! Gather around me!"
Achel, uninterested in fighting, promptly shouted. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
He wanted to lead them in a quick retreat.
As Fire Mage Manning and half-Beastman Warrior Malok swiftly gathered around him.
Achel ripped open the ’Escape Tool’ given by their captain Freddie—the Any Door Scroll glowing with a bluish shimmer.
"Swish!"
Achel vanished in a flash!
Fire Mage Manning and half-Beastman Warrior Malok, were left facing each other, in disbelief.
A second later.
Tens of meters away.
Alongside a flash of blue light, Priest Achel reappeared.
The joy of escaping on his face froze in less than half a second.
Because he was horrified to discover, he had only moved thirty meters away.
And he was alone!
Three meters ahead, there stood several Gray Dwarf elites, equally puzzled.
"What the—!"
"This is a Blink Scroll!" Priest Achel’s eyes widened as he exclaimed.
The Third Level Blink Scroll and Fourth Level Any Door Scroll, being spells of the same spatial category, both had a faint bluish glow externally.
Almost indistinguishable in the slight difference of blue light brightness unless compared side by side.
This explained why Achel never doubted when he received the spell scroll from their captain Freddie.
But the problem was, the effects of Blink and Any Door are worlds apart.
Unlike the effect of Any Door— ’Teleport all friendly targets within a five-meter radius to a position within five hundred meters’, Blink only enables the caster to instantly disappear from the spot and reappear tens of meters away.
