Chapter 1100: Chapter 1100: Stabbing Him Until He’s a Bloody Mess

Even Feiyu couldn’t help but speak in a stiff tone, telling her to rest and not fall ill, otherwise Third Young Master would wake up and have to scold him again.

Ye Lu then leaned on a sofa and dozed off for a while, not knowing how long she had slept, she suddenly woke up to find herself resting on a hospital bed.

She hurriedly jumped out of bed, too rushed to even put on her shoes, and ran out of the room, anxiously making her way to Third Young Master Jun’s ward.

Through the window, seeing Third Young Master Jun quietly asleep on the bed, her heart, previously lifted with worry, finally settled, and a smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of her mouth. She had thought the events before were just a dream, so she immediately ran here in panic to confirm that he really had been found and was now right beside her.

Standing behind the glass and looking at Third Young Master Jun’s pale, blood-drained face, no longer exhibiting his usual arrogant and formidable demeanor, a surge of heartache welled up inside her, knowing he had been shot because of her and was now seriously injured and very weak.

Thinking back to the truth Feiyu revealed, she felt even more guilt and shame. Suddenly, she found herself a little scared to go in.

She paced back and forth at the door, making circles without end.

"Hey, stop pacing, you’re making me dizzy!" In the end, even Ling Kong couldn’t stand it anymore, his handsome face showing annoyance, arms crossed as he glared at her, "Are you scared to go in?"

Ye Lu’s face turned red, "What nonsense, who’s scared."

"Then what are you doing here, taking a walk?" Ling Kong was even more irritated.

Ye Lu bit her lip and, uncharacteristically, lowered her head, "I was harsh to him before, I said very cruel, heart-piercing words, and... I don’t know if he will forgive me?" 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Her heart wasn’t free of nervousness. Tonight, she had even suggested divorce to him. Now, thinking back on her words, they must have felt like knives, stabbing him in the heart, wounding him so deeply.

Would he resent her, become disillusioned, and stop treating her well?

The mere thought struck panic in her heart, and she couldn’t help but be self-deprecating, realizing that she, in fact, did care about how he treated her. She had become accustomed to him chasing after her, being good to her, never letting go.

If he stopped being good to her, stopped loving her, Ye Lu’s heart jolted, and she suddenly felt at a loss.

Unexpectedly she was worrying about this when Ling Kong glanced at her impassively, his slender, attractive body lazily leaning against the wall in a posture that was sure to elicit screams from young girls.

His clear eyes gazed through the window, quietly observing the man inside.

There’s a kind of man, you can stab him in the heart and even if you shred him to pieces, he’ll still love you without a hint of regret. To put it artistically, this is called undying loyalty; academically, it’s known as Stockholm syndrome, a masochist’s addiction – in any case, it’s the kind of deep-seated malady!

He saw that even if Ye Lu killed Third Young Master Jun, Third Young Master Jun wouldn’t hate her. To love to such a craze, this man must be counted amongst the world’s rare great men.

"Don’t worry, my mom stabbed a few knives into my dad’s heart back in the day, and yet they’re still good to this day. Men, they’re always invulnerable to guns and knives."

Ye Lu felt a headache; she didn’t find this comforting at all.

But as she caught a glimpse of Third Young Master Jun seemingly waking up, his pale, bony fingers stretching out, groping for something on the table, she panicked and forgot everything else as she rushed forward to help.

Hearing the sound of the door being pushed open.

"Yan Su, get me some water, I’m thirsty," Third Young Master Jun’s hoarse voice, rusty as if even speaking caused him great pain, faintly carried over.

Ye Lu was startled; had he not seen her?

Still, she walked over, picked up the glass of water. Feeling a different presence, Third Young Master Jun, with muddled eyes, raised his head and glanced at her.
