Chapter 1015: Chapter 1015: Rage Explodes

Fighting with people wasn’t as dangerous as dealing with these enraged animals; they would attack desperately as if they had gone mad.

Indeed, when the cat’s attack missed, it turned around, meowing shrilly, and pounced at her again.

Ye Lu’s lips turned pale with fright. She wasn’t afraid of getting hurt, but she feared the cat might scratch randomly and harm her child.

With animals, the more you resist, the more it enrages them into frenzy.

Ye Lu crouched down, covered her head, and simply stayed still; the cat leapt onto her and left a scratch with its claw on her arm, drawing blood.

However, seeing that she didn’t move an inch, the cat meowed a few times and then darted out the window.

Ye Lu’s heart, which had been pounding with tension, finally calmed down a bit.

Looking down, she lifted her sleeve and sure enough, saw the scratch marks on her arm. They weren’t very deep, but one had to get a vaccine immediately after being scratched by a cat or dog.

She bit her lip, stood up quickly, and made the scene messier. Then she took Ling Xiu’s clothes, throwing one on the floor and hanging another by the window.

She believed Ling Xiu wouldn’t suspect anything.

After finishing, she took the pendant necklace and hurried out of the resting room.

She had just gone out to look for Third Young Master Jun; she didn’t find him in the mourning hall. Ye Lu frowned and walked out to the outside garden, only to see Third Young Master Jun and Yiren standing behind a cluster of flowers under a tree, chatting.

Third Young Master Jun had his back to her, so she couldn’t see his expression.

However, the expression on Yiren’s face across from him was clear as day. A brilliant smile adorned Yiren’s lovely face, as she gazed at Third Young Master Jun with tender affection, clearly very pleased, chuckling girlishly from time to time.

Ye Lu’s heart slammed hard, causing a faint pain, and recalling what Yiren had just said, her discomfort grew.

She turned around and left alone.

She took a cab by herself to the hospital and then saw a doctor.

After the examination, she stepped outside and realized that her cellphone in her handbag was vibrating frantically—it was Third Young Master Jun’s call. Picking up the phone, she heard his voice, unable to suppress his anger, "Where are you?"

Ye Lu reported an address coldly.

Within ten minutes, Third Young Master Jun had appeared at the medical room door, his chest heaving violently, breathing rushed.

He angrily grabbed her, his eyes furious as he shouted, "What are you doing? Didn’t I say you’re not allowed to wander off alone?"

When he realized she was missing at the memorial service, he had gone crazy looking for her and couldn’t find her anywhere.

He called, but nobody had answered for a long time, his mind buzzed, his heart nearly stopped, fearing she had been kidnapped, fearing something had happened to her.

The moment he heard her pick up the phone, he raced to the hospital in a frenzy.

Did she even realize how dangerous it was for her to be alone?

"You’re hurting my hand," said Ye Lu, her face cold.

It was only then that Third Young Master Jun remembered why she would be at the hospital; his gaze tightened with immense concern, "What’s wrong? Are you feeling ill?"

The doctor, who had been ignored up until now, finally interjected.

"Her hand was scratched by a cat. Sir, please step aside. I need to clean her wound and administer the vaccine," said the doctor.

Third Young Master Jun stepped back slightly and upon seeing the three scratch marks oozing blood on her snowy white arm, his heart clenched with pain. All his explosive anger dissipated, replaced only with a pained gaze at her hand.

After the wound had been treated and the shot given,

Third Young Master Jun wrapped his arms around her and left the hospital, got in the car, and quickly returned to the villa.

Seeing how tired she was, Third Young Master Jun didn’t press her about running off on her own. He carried her upstairs to let her rest well.

Ye Lu lay down, closed her eyes, and turned her head away.
