Chapter 924: Chapter 924: First Battle

Rumble!!!

Like a clap of thunder, when Ye Fan and Ed’s fists violently collided, the sound of cracking bones and skin echoed, especially as Ed’s entire arm became disfigured.

The two of them collided with no fancy moves, just raw force.

"Thump thump thump!!!" Ed staggered back, each step causing a heavy tremor on the concrete ground.

His eyes widened, his pupils nearly splitting.

An incredulous expression surged from his heart, instantly spreading across his face.

"How could it be!" Ed exclaimed in disbelief. He retreated over ten steps before barely stabilizing himself. At this moment, his legs trembled, his muscles and bones ached and numbed, especially the arm that had collided with Ye Fan’s, now in excruciating pain, almost as if it had lost all sensation.

Looking at Ye Fan, he casually shook his arm, dispelling the force of the impact.

The clash seemed like two unequal forces colliding, with Ye Fan easily crushing Ed.

"This punch should have been even more destructive; it was only after I struck that I realized I was holding back and hadn’t used my full strength," Ye Fan shook his head, somewhat dissatisfied.

"A forbidden figure, he is definitely a forbidden figure. Even though memory loss affects his peak fighting power, the more disadvantaged he is, the stronger his explosive combat strength becomes. Losing so embarrassingly in the first move, if I continue to fight, it can only end in defeat, possibly even death." Ed realized this fact, understanding why Anna valued Ye Fan so much and why the organization was so cautious about him.

"I won’t spare anyone who dares to strike at me. So, go to hell," Ye Fan said as he walked toward Ed, muttering strangely, "Why does this sentence feel so familiar, like something I would’ve said before losing my memory."

"You want me dead? Dream on." Although Ed was shaken, he wasn’t overly frightened.

The two clashed fiercely again, with dazzling attacks raging wildly.

Ye Fan, deliberately adapting to his combat prowess, did not strike with full force. Simply put, he was using Ed for practice.

Yet even so, Ed was in a sorry state, facing countless dangers.

Ed felt increasingly insecure and regretted: "I shouldn’t have underestimated that woman, Anna. Now, I’m afraid I’ll die here. Anna wouldn’t be so generous as to let Jason save me, more likely hoping I’ll perish."

He regretted opposing Anna. Realizing his peril, he felt utterly desolate.

"Someone else is approaching. Seems everyone wishes for my death." Ye Fan sensed others approaching. Then, without hesitation, he took a step back and kicked out, striking Ed’s lower abdomen with formidable force.

Ye Fan lost interest in using Ed as a sparring partner, launching a powerful attack that sent Ed flying.

Ed cried out in fear as his body was hurled backward into the air.

He was terrified, knowing what lay behind him—power lines and several meters of open space. If he fell from this height, he’d undoubtedly crash onto the road below, a six or seven-meter drop, at least, would surely leave him injured, if not worse.

Just as Ed thought he was about to follow a parabolic trajectory, a figure leaped from behind, landing on the rooftop and catching him firmly.

Only then did Ed’s panicked heart find a sliver of security.

The person who intervened was none other than Jason, secretly sent by Anna to assist Ed.

"Both of you shall die," Ye Fan stepped forward boldly. He sensed other presences, so without any hesitation, he attacked, intending to first decisively deal with Jason and Ed before facing the others who were approaching.

"Ye Fan, we’ll meet again. Protect your life for it’s ours," Jason said as he threw a smoke bomb, using it as a cover for him and Ed to escape from one side of the building.

Ye Fan did not pursue but turned his gaze in the other two directions.

Anita and Beate appeared in one direction.

The Poisonous Snake also revealed himself, glaring intently at Ye Fan.

This battle, initiated by Ed’s reckless probing, saw its initiator fleeing, while those who had come to gather intelligence saw an opportunity and boldly made their move. By sheer chance, three opposing parties converged on this small rooftop.

Ed, engaged in combat with Ye Fan, naturally hadn’t realized this.

But Jason, who had come to support, noticed the strange atmosphere.

The Sky Net wanted Ye Fan alive, so they withdrew with Ed at the first chance. They didn’t wish to linger any longer; having gauged Ye Fan’s fearsome strength was already a satisfactory outcome. Coordinating with others to fight Ye Fan would be unwise, nor was it their initial intent.

Anita and Beate exchanged glances and then looked toward the nearby Poisonous Snake.

They didn’t understand why Jason and Ed left without a face-off, but they were naturally curious about their identities.

"Let’s cooperate and kill Ye Fan," Poisonous Snake suggested to Anita and Beate.

"You’re the second-in-command of the Netherworld Organization, Poisonous Snake, right? This cooperation suits us just fine," Anita sneered.

Poisonous Snake couldn’t recognize Anita and Beate’s identities, yet he was recognized, a fact that puzzled him but didn’t linger on. Now was the perfect opportunity to kill Ye Fan. No matter who Anita and Beate were, having a common enemy made them friends.

Poisonous Snake wasn’t curious enough to inquire about their identities, as asking would only show his own shortcomings—a leader of the Netherworld Organization unable to recognize two strong warriors in front of him would indicate a lack of insight.

For ordinary people not to recognize them would be understandable, but in front of Human Body Limit warriors, Poisonous Snake knew this all too well.

So, to assert himself, Poisonous Snake asked nothing.

Anita and Beate were from the God Organization, while the Netherworld Organization was just an average force, incomparable to the God Organization.

Therefore, Poisonous Snake’s inability to recognize them indicated his lack of standing.

"Kill!!"

Anita, Beate, and Poisonous Snake exchanged a look of understanding, and the three launched a coordinated assault, converging on Ye Fan.
