My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 1135: Deceitful Fox’s Order
Ivan had no choice but to get in touch with Deceitful Fox.
This was his last report to Deceitful Fox about Hound Base, and his final call before dying.
"Ivan, what’s up?" Deceitful Fox spoke indifferently, ready to end the call the next second if it wasn’t something important.
"Leader, Hound Base is finished," Ivan said urgently, his voice revealing undeniable helplessness and bitterness.
"What’s happening? Give details," Deceitful Fox focused, asking with great concern.
"Sky Net’s Hunting Team 3, Hunting Team 8, and Hunting Team 13, led by Fourth Elder, have surrounded Hound Base. Now, they’ve penetrated the central area of Hound Base. We can’t hold them off anymore. Everyone in Hound Base is about to be wiped out," Ivan summarized the dire situation Hound Base was facing.
"Are you kidding me?" Deceitful Fox didn’t believe it, chuckling, "Even if all the hunting teams came, it’s impossible to conquer Hound Base. Its defenses are solidly built; having a numerical advantage alone can’t breach it. Are you kidding me?"
"How dare I joke, how dare I mess with you? It’s true, Hound Base is doomed," Ivan was about to cry.
"What’s going on? Give me a simple explanation," Deceitful Fox urged, "I know Hound Base’s defenses. Outsiders can’t breach its system, let alone invade. Even if someone did get in, they’d die regardless of how many came. How can mere three hunting teams deal with Hound Base?"
"When Fourth Elder and others surrounded Hound Base, that’s what I thought too. Initially, one of Hunting Team 8’s leaders, Sheridan, led half their forces into a tunnel toward the base and was completely wiped out by the laser field. This tunnel was intentionally leaked by us to suppress the hunting team’s arrogance."
"Who knew, instead of being suppressed, we suffered a fatal attack."
"Somehow, Hound Base’s network system was breached, and our traps became ineffective, leading to this outcome."
"Facing the hunting team’s attack next, our resistance had no effect."
"Up to now, seventy percent of Hound Base’s personnel have died. The remaining thirty percent are in critical danger and won’t last long before being completely killed."
Ivan said this, and Deceitful Fox couldn’t help but interrupt, loudly asking, "How could this happen? How could Hound Base’s network system be breached? It’s unrealistic and impossible!"
"Exactly, who’d have thought such a thing would happen? We’re still in shock, unable to comprehend how the solid system was instantly breached, causing all systems to collapse—it’s unbelievable," Ivan talked about it with an expression of disbelief.
Ivan couldn’t understand why Hound Base’s network was so vulnerable to being breached.
Deceitful Fox was even more puzzled by this issue.
"It seems, Sky Net has a terrifying level of hacker who knows Hound Base well, causing it to be easily breached," Deceitful Fox realized the key.
"Could there be such a person?" Ivan doubtfully said, "How could Sky Net have such a powerful existence?"
"Isn’t it obvious now? From the outcomes, there should be such a top-notch figure," Deceitful Fox asserted confidently, actually having a huge clue about who this might be. To him, besides Terminator, no one else in the world fits this profile.
"Who’s this terrifically powerful existence?" Ivan inquired.
"Don’t worry about who," Deceitful Fox impatiently said, expressing no interest in explaining it but instead questioning, "Even if the hunting team has many members, compared to Hound Base, their overall strength is a bit stronger, but it shouldn’t be this fast. How come Hound Base couldn’t hold on and suffered such heavy losses?"
Deceitful Fox understands the hunting team’s strength well, and he also understands Hound Base’s strength.
By comparing, one can discover that although Hound Base’s strength is slightly inferior, it wouldn’t be that weak. In such a short time, letting the hunting team win repeatedly, he didn’t know whether to blame Hound Base’s personnel for being cowardly or to marvel at the hunting team’s overwhelming strength.
"This is also one of the major issues I need to report," Ivan said in a muffled voice, "Dais and Bell, leading their loyal powers, retreated as soon as the hunting team attacked."
"What? Those traitors, how could they abandon Hound Base? It’s outrageous, absolutely outrageous," Deceitful Fox angrily blamed Ivan, "Didn’t I ask you to keep an eye on those two? How did this happen?"
"I couldn’t oversee it, the hunting team’s invasion overwhelmed me. I agreed with Dais and Bell to jointly resist the hunting team, but who knew they’d vanish without a trace? This wasn’t the outcome I wanted," Ivan explained bitterly.
"Did Dais and Bell defect to Fire Phoenix or the Butcher?" Deceitful Fox now only cared about this issue. Since Hound Base’s fate was sealed, Dais and Bell made their choice, he urgently needed to know if these Forbidden Powerhouses defected to Fire Phoenix or Butcher, so he’d have some leverage too.
"I guess it’s still under Fire Phoenix," Ivan said uncertainly.
"Any evidence?" Deceitful Fox asked.
"Dais had contact and correspondence with Fire Phoenix, Bell always stayed neutral, uninterested in other matters. This time, definitely coaxed by Dais, went with her to defect to Fire Phoenix," Ivan explained.
"With things as they are, we can’t force anything more. Hound Base is doomed. Abandon Hound Base and take whoever you can with you. Preserving strength is most important," Deceitful Fox instructed.
"We can’t leave; we’re surrounded by the hunting team," Ivan replied.
"Don’t lie to me; Hound Base has a secret escape route. You think I don’t know? We’ll fight again another day, demand justice for Hound Base. Now, escape for me," Deceitful Fox ordered.
"I will lead my subordinates to make a final stand for Hound Base’s dignity, we will not flee," Ivan said resolutely.
