Chapter 1134: Chapter 1134: Burn the Boats

The Hound Base is retreating step by step, as the Hunting Team advances over corpses and blood.

The Fourth Elder, Twain, and Green watched this scene, unable to hide their shock.

"The defenses of Hound Base are like an iron fortress, impregnable, that’s an undeniable fact. Throughout all the nine bases of the God Organization, none have ever successfully withstood external attacks. Yet now, the Hound Base is falling right before my eyes, marching step by step toward the abyss of death, it is truly heart-wrenching."

The Fourth Elder murmured to himself, his expression bewildered.

He had anticipated that under Ye Fan’s leadership, they could conquer Hound Base against all odds, but witnessing it happen before him was another matter, and the amazement in his heart was intense.

Although the Hunting Team also sustained losses, the Fourth Elder didn’t care about that. Compared to the achieved victory, those losses were negligible.

"Terminator truly lives up to his name. The killing moves of Hound Base have been neutralized, rendering its people as weak as a toothless tiger."

"Only the Terminator could possess such capability. Apart from him, there is likely no one else capable of this."

"It’s no surprise that the Terminator is so feared by the organization, it’s no wonder the Terminator was able to bring down the God Organization from its peak."

"All of this is because the Terminator possesses terrifying abilities beyond ordinary people."

Twain and Green exchanged looks, their gazes towards Ye Fan turning into admiration and awe.

"Mr. Ye, you’ve worked hard. I’m sure it won’t take long for Hound Base to cease to exist. When that time comes and the news spreads, it will surely shock the Underworld. All of this is thanks to you, Mr. Ye," the Fourth Elder said genuinely, his expression towards Ye Fan barely concealing his emotion.

"Hound Base has not yet been completely defeated, don’t be too happy too soon," Ye Fan said faintly.

"That’s a matter of time, no need to worry. The victory is already determined, and the desperate resistance of Hound Base will soon be subdued," the Fourth Elder said excitedly.

"I want coffee," Ye Fan said lightly.

"Ah!" The Fourth Elder paused, choked by Ye Fan’s words, then respectfully said after regaining his composure, "Mr. Ye, please wait, I’ll go prepare coffee for you at once."

"Elder, let me go," Twain said.

"No need!" The Fourth Elder said firmly.

...

......

The flames of war raged at Hound Base. Eddy, Smith, and Oliver led the Hunting Team, dividing their forces to crush every passage of the Hound Base; the first line of defense was breached, the second line was breached, and now the third line was on the verge of collapse. The morale of the Hunting Team surged, and Hound Base was already at the end of its rope, unable to hold on.

"Kill, break in and destroy the little bastards of Hound Base." Eddy and others charged forward, leading their subordinates in thunderous assaults.

The resistance within Hound Base fought desperately. Although the Hunting Team had successively breached the defenses and entered the middle area of Hound Base, the defenders showed no signs of weakness, making fearless and deadly resistance.

In the core area of Hound Base, Ivan was surrounded by several trusted subordinates.

"The third line of defense is about to be breached. Once it’s taken, we won’t have enough forces to organize resistance, except for being surrounded with no other possibilities." A subordinate said anxiously, unable to hide his worry. "Our current plight is all because of Dais and Bell. Their desertion left us in a dire situation, leaving us no choice but to fight to the death."

By now, Ivan had accepted the fact that Dais and Bell had fled. He no longer held the naive hope that Dais and Bell had hidden with powerful reinforcements; excuses like that couldn’t fool anyone anymore.

Ivan never expected and couldn’t understand why Dais and Bell would be so resolute as to abandon Hound Base.

"Let’s not discuss Dais and Bell. At this point, there’s no blame to be had. We must do our part to defend the honor of Hound Base and protect our dignity," Ivan said loudly. "Although Dais and Bell’s sudden departure took the powerhouses with them, leaving us without the confidence to resist the Hunting Team and leading to this rapid defeat, we can’t change what’s already happened."

Ivan continued, "All we can do now is fight desperately, to teach the Hunting Team a harsh lesson. Even in death, we must ensure they remember our fierceness."

"Perhaps, we can break through?" a subordinate suggested.

This suggestion immediately brightened the eyes of several individuals. If breaking through meant they didn’t have to die, they would certainly accept that.

"Break through? To where?" Ivan quickly doused their hopes, speaking with logic and reason, "Now all passages are occupied by the enemy, leaving us no chance for a breakthrough. Instead, attempting to do so would put us in a more passive position, giving us no initiative. Instead, what we can do is make a final stand, showing the Hunting Team that even if they’re tigers, we will break off a few of their teeth."

"It seems we must fight."

"Even if we die, we’ll take a couple down with us." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"We must show those bastards in the Hunting Team our true power."

Several trusted subordinates said, brimming with killing intent.

"Go prepare yourselves, as things stand, we must burn our boats and make a desperate stand. Bring out everything useful from the armory and organize the last line of defense."

"If the line breaks, we perish."

"Our demise is a foregone conclusion."

"But before we perish, we must ensure the Hunting Team suffers heavy losses."

"This is the last strength our ravaged bodies can muster."

Ivan said with resolute strength.

The subordinates departed with killing intent.

"Breaking through now is unrealistic; rather than trying to break through, it’s better to fight to the death." Ivan said slowly, though in truth, there was a possibility of breaking out, he was unwilling to take that path.

He wanted to lead the remaining men, using their deaths to defend the dignity of Hound Base.

"Dais, Bell, I don’t know how or why you left, but you are the traitors of Hound Base." Ivan lamented, then put aside thoughts of Dais and Bell, focusing on the situation.

"It seems I must contact Deceitful Fox one last time," Ivan said gravely.
