My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister-Chapter 120 - 83: Argument Escalates to Blows, Whose Love Do You Think You’re Enjoying? (Part 2)
"GASP— GASP—"
Jiangg Yao took huge gulps of air, looking as if she had truly been on the verge of suffocating. Her hair was a total mess from the struggle.
Her sister frantically patted her on the chest, so worried she was about to cry.
But, unexpectedly...
The next second, a glint of light flashed in Jiangg Yao’s red, swollen eyes. She shot out her hand, grabbed Jiangg Ning’s clothes with all her might, and yanked with what seemed like the greatest strength she’d ever mustered!
Jiangg Ning felt like she was about to be flung through the air. A force from beneath her hips lifted her completely, and she went tumbling onto the other side of the sofa with a THUD. Luckily, the sofa was soft. Otherwise, landing face-first, she couldn’t imagine how badly she would have been hurt.
A button popped off her thin, white blouse.
While her mind was still blank, Jiangg Yao pounced like a tiger on its prey! She leaped up and grabbed her hands.
It all happened in a flash. Just as the older sister had turned halfway around, the younger sister’s rear was already pinning her down firmly.
In just a few seconds, the tables had completely turned!
Now, Jiangg Yao was on top, and Jiangg Ning was the vanquished captive.
She glared furiously at her sister, unable to believe that her near-death act just now had been a performance. She struggled wildly. "Jiangg Yao, you tricked me again?!"
"Oh, my foolish sister, always so soft-hearted. Haven’t you heard that all’s fair in war? Ahahahahahahaha..."
Jiangg Yao let out a wild, uninhibited laugh, the corners of her mouth curling into a smirk filled with boundless triumph. She threw her head back, grinning from ear to ear, nearly making her sister, pinned beneath her, cough up blood from pure rage.
Now, it was Jiangg Ning’s turn to squirm and struggle.
Her clothes were torn, a testament to how forceful Jiangg Yao’s counterattack had been.
Large patches of pale skin were exposed at the chest of her blouse, revealing a breathtaking curve. The lace trim was crumpled, and a strap had slipped from her shoulder down to her elbow.
SMACK—
SMACK—
Jiangg Yao patted her sister’s cheek again and again. The gesture was utterly condescending, her eyes filled with disdain, and her smiling lips hid a deep-seated resentment.
"Did you really think you could teach me a lesson? Don’t think so highly of yourself, Jiangg Ning. I hate that condescending look of yours. I don’t need you to teach me how to love someone, or how to accept someone’s love. I have always been me, and you are just you. We’re sisters, but that doesn’t give you the right to decide how I act."
As she spoke, Jiangg Yao’s tone turned chillingly grim. She snapped, "Mind your own business!"
"You’ve changed... I almost don’t recognize you anymore," Jiangg Ning said after a moment of silence, her brow furrowed.
"Of course I’m changing. You’re the one who’s always treated me like a naive child. Just because you’re five minutes older, does that mean you know more about how to handle a relationship? Look at your attitude just now."
"What do you mean? Be clear."
"Hah, what do I mean? I’ll tell you what I mean, Jiangg Ning. I love Chen Yuan. This isn’t just playing house, like you think. I know exactly what I’ve been doing this whole time. From now until forever, no matter when, no matter what choice I have to make, I will only consider a future with him! I will choose him, and I won’t waver!"
Every word Jiangg Yao spoke was delivered with a gravity her sister had never seen before.
Jiangg Ning couldn’t help but stare, dumbfounded.
In a daze, Jiangg Ning suddenly felt she might have completely misjudged the situation.
Yaoyao hadn’t been acting so absurdly because she wanted her sister all to herself.
It was something far worse—Jiangg Yao was also in love with Chen Yuan.
The thought struck her like a bolt from the blue. A storm of lightning and wind rushed toward her before she even realized it... In an instant, Jiangg Ning’s mind went blank. It felt as if her ears were stuffed with cotton, and a film separated her from all the sounds of the world around her.
Only a faint ringing echoed in her ears. She couldn’t hear anything else...
’How is this possible?’
’My sister... fell for the same guy as me?’
...
The living room was a complete wreck. Four or five pillows lay scattered on the carpet. The stuffed dolls that had been resting peacefully on the sofa were thrown everywhere; one had even been flung all the way to the balcony.
Slippers had gone flying. One had landed on the coffee table, the other was dangling from the corner of the TV.
The battle had been unimaginably fierce.
Jiangg Ning’s neck was covered in red marks. She was wearing the buttonless shirt, her delicate collarbones mottled with angry red splotches.
Jiangg Yao, beside her, was in no better shape. Her eyes were red and swollen from crying, her lip was split, and she was silently rubbing a bruise on her shoulder... Her hair was so disheveled she looked like a ghost that had just crawled out of a television screen.
Having finally exhausted their energy, they entered a halftime truce.
The two could finally sit down calmly and have a proper conversation.
However, she was at one end of the sofa, and Jiangg Ning was at the other, a chasm seeming to separate them.
"So you’re saying you plan to marry Chen Yuan? That you’ll go get your marriage certificate after he graduates?"
"That’s right, that’s my plan. After I marry him, I’ll follow him wherever he wants to work. I’m a virtual streamer anyway, so I’m not picky about what city I live in... If he wants to go to Mingzhu City, I’ll go to Mingzhu City. If he wants to stay in Lanjing, I’ll stay in Lanjing. Abroad, at home, even in the middle of nowhere—I can do it. Can you?"
"Heh."
"Not only am I going to marry him and follow him, but I’m also going to have a bunch of babies with him. Preferably all girls. Every day when he comes home from work, the babies and I will be there to welcome him. Just thinking about it makes me so happy."
"Are you a pig? A whole bunch? You say that like I can’t have kids too."
"You’re the pig! A stupid, dumb, idiotic pig!"
"I’m not in the mood to bicker with you. What I need to know is whether you’ve thought this through. Are you just having a bit of fun, or are you genuinely in love with him? That’s very important!" Jiangg Ning instantly grew serious, crossing her arms and pressing her lips together.
"I’ve said it a hundred times! You think your feelings are the only real ones? From the day we ’broke up,’ I was sure of my feelings. I don’t need you questioning me!"
"Fine. Very good."
"Oh? What’s this, planning to back out? Sister, I’m not trying to be harsh, but you can’t compete with me. Be smart and quit now before you get hurt. It’s not too late."
"Why can’t I compete with you? Don’t be so confident, Jiangg Yao. All you know how to do is act cute and play the victim. Have you ever seen the lovestruck look in Chen Yuan’s eyes when he’s with me? You just borrowed my identity to make him like you. Stop lying to yourself."
"Lovestruck? Then you haven’t seen Chen Yuan when he’s with me. He gets more than just lovestruck..." Jiangg Yao placed a finger on her moist lips and said in a saccharine, passive-aggressive tone, "All of him gets ’struck’~"
"You!" Jiangg Ning stared at her, understanding her meaning. A blush instantly crept up her face. "You’re shameless! Have you no shame?!"
"LMAO, you’re getting flustered, aren’t you? Don’t get so worked up, sister. Looks like you know your chest isn’t as big as mine, your butt isn’t as curvy, and you don’t have my feminine charm. All you can do is lecture people bossily. Getting mad because you’re embarrassed?"
"Fine. You don’t need to be so sharp-tongued. I’ll tell you this loud and clear: I’ve given in to you countless times before, but this time, there is no way I’m letting you have Chen Yuan!"
"Who needs you to ’let’ me have him? Bring it on! You think I’m scared of you or something?!" Jiangg Yao slammed her hand on the table, her usual timid demeanor gone. She had completely stood up for herself.
"Not scared? Don’t make me laugh, Jiangg Yao... We have the exact same face. Who knows who he really likes? If he really becomes your brother-in-law, just make sure you don’t try to kill yourself over it, okay?"
When Jiangg Ning saw her slam the table, she knew she had hit her sister’s weak spot.
’Sure enough, she’s terrified I’ll try to steal him away.’
’So she’s not that confident after all. All bark and no bite. Nothing to be afraid of. And here I thought she was so sure of her victory.’
"Impossible! Chen Yuan will be mine."
"Speaking with such finality just proves you can’t afford to lose. And if you can’t afford to lose, I suggest you back out yourself."
"Only you will lose. I won’t."
The two sisters were at each other’s throats again, locking eyes, their gazes radiating an unyielding intensity.
The atmosphere, which had just begun to calm down, instantly grew tense once more.
But just then...
"RING RING RING—"
One of the two phones lying on the coffee table began to ring.
The caller ID read: Kiddo.
Jiangg Ning’s eyes lit up instantly. A smile appeared on her lips. "Well, well, isn’t this a call from Chen Yuan? He’s calling me. Why isn’t he calling you?"
She rose gracefully, picked up the phone, and looked at Jiangg Yao with a provocative smirk.
Jiangg Yao’s face darkened. She shot up and lunged for the phone!
"He’s obviously calling for me, it just went to your phone! Give it to me!"
"Hilarious! Why would my boyfriend call you?"
"He’s my boyfriend! What does he have to do with you?!"
The sisters started grappling with each other again, fighting over the incessantly ringing phone.
The present moment was a perfect echo of the one before.
