My Mage System (BL)-Chapter 329: *No pressure !*
Oliver could do nothing to avoid losing his arm; he had underestimated the power of these Chains of Restraint, and when he had tried to attack him to parry his sword strike, his Chains had rushed through the gap in his shield and totally immobilized him, allowing the King of Shadow to cut his arm.
His sword fell to the ground, and now that he was immobilized, Kevin put the blade of one of his short swords on his open wound that was already beginning to heal.
He dispersed the particles of light and the golden ones that it was made of and sent them directly into his bloodstream.
He then said to him, "Any last words before you die?"
Oliver could feel his body burning from the inside, and he asked him through gritted teeth, under the excruciating pain he felt, "How? The light particles shouldn’t have had any effect on me..."
Kevin then said to him, "Tell me where the rest of the Knights of Darkness are, and I will answer your question."
Oliver laughed and said to him, his face covered with sweat and grimacing in pain, "Poor fool, you have no chance against them; they are much stronger than me."
He then said, because he felt that it was the end anyway, "They took Lilith to a secret place; I don’t know where it is... Lilith is using the Titans; soon, she will take power over the universe."
Kevin smiled then; this information was going to be precious to them. So he decided to shorten his suffering. With the short sword he had left, he beheaded him immediately, and a few seconds later, his body finished disintegrating completely. When Kevin was declared the winner by the referees, he scattered his second short sword, and after picking up the sword used by Oliver, he grabbed the head of the latter by the hair and threw it to Axel, who immediately disintegrated it by concentrating all the chakra he was capable of in the hand that held his face.
Once he saw that demon’s head disintegrate, he immediately felt much better, and when Kevin joined him, he hugged him almost to the point of suffocation.
The fact that Kevin managed to keep his selflessness despite all he had been through was a real miracle, and he just said to him, with his voice still full of emotion, "I love you so much, Kev."
Kevin also hugged him tightly and said to him, "I love you too. Thanks to you, I have started to trust people; now I have friends and a family. I have never been so happy in my life... And I should not have nightmares anymore."
Axel finally released him, and Kevin then went to join Elias, who was standing a little apart from their group. He said to him, "Master, I’m glad to see you again."
Elias ruffled his hair and said to him, "I’m relieved you’re okay too; I thought you were dead."
Kevin frowned, and Elias immediately told him, "Don’t worry; Mykael already told me everything."
Kevin then sighed; the past was the past. So he preferred to ask Elias instead, "Master, did you hear what that demon just said?"
Elias said to him, "I heard... I have to admit that even I thought she was the one being used by Diana, Cassandra’s mother and the wife of the Emperor of the Titans... Forget it for now; I’ll explain everything later. Your friend seems to be waiting for your advice."
Kevin looked in the direction Elias was pointing, and indeed, Ian seemed to be waiting for him to return so he could go. He then quickly asked Elias, "Are you going to stay?"
Elias then asked him, "Do you want me to stay?"
Kevin nodded, and Elias smiled at him. He told him that he was going to stay a little longer with them, but that he couldn’t stay too long either because he had a lot of things to take care of with his men.
Kevin then smiled at him and finally joined Ian. He patted him on the shoulder and asked him, "How are you feeling?"
Ian didn’t really know himself how he was feeling. Was he stressed? Excited? It was probably a mix of different feelings, so he preferred to ask him something useful, "Since you kept your Stage 2 activated, tell me what you see about his Stats?"
Kevin immediately nodded, and as he turned to the center of the arena to check the Stats of the Titan that Ian was about to face, he realized that the crowd was getting louder and louder and that the demons in the stands seemed overexcited.
When Axel saw Kevin looking at the crowd somewhat surprised, he said to him, "The demons have all been looking forward to this duel; they want to see their rightful King fight..."
Alan laughed then, and he walked over to Ian and said to him while patting him on the shoulder, "No pressure!"
He said a little more seriously, "Don’t listen to him, okay? Anyway, you’re going to blow everyone away. Everything will be fine, you’ll see."
Ian smiled at them; he was glad that his friends had come to support him. Then he said, "Well, Kevin promised to intervene if my life was threatened, and he also promised to stop Liam from doing anything stupid, so everything should be fine."
He turned back to Kevin and asked him, "So?"
Kevin nodded, and he immediately gave him the information he had received from his system.
