Chapter 289: *If you manage to surprise me I will forfeit*

After these words, he couldn’t help but feel chills; these men were truly terrifying.

So he decided to use his most powerful spell to see what effect it would have on him, and it would also give them a better idea of their true strength.

However, this spell needed some preparation time, so to keep him busy before he could cast it, he would have to use another one to divert his attention.

Titans who could use spiritual energy were like demons; they had a greater affinity with the elements of fire and darkness.

As Lilith had used him to conduct experiments, he was able to use black particles that were not in spiritual energy but in another layer where the divine energy could be found.

Lilith had told him that the divine energy had only two types of particles, the black and the golden, and that only the Gods had access to them.

After absorbing her divine pills created only with a concentration of those black particles, he began to be able to see them and use them.

Of course, it took a lot of concentration, and it was extremely tiring to use these particles, so he almost never used them. But today he felt like making an exception because this man was really getting on his nerves.

After years of training, he had managed to combine the fire, darkness, and these black particles together to create a tiny ball that fit in the palm of his hand.

This attack was discreet, and its destructive power was five times greater than his previous attack. Although this ball was very small, it was a huge concentration of these three particles, and it had taken him years to find the right amount of particles to mix them together so that this ball would be stable and would only explode when it came into contact with his opponent.

It took him 2 minutes to create one, but this man didn’t seem to be very patient. So he smirked and extended his left hand, from which came out tentacles of fire mixed with particles of darkness, and then he attacked him from all sides, closely following all his movements because his goal was to keep him at a good distance so that he could prepare his next attack.

Isaac wasn’t fooled, though; he could see that this little jerk was trying to keep him at a distance, and he could feel a concentration of energy forming in his right hand. So while dodging those tentacles without any problem, he asked Elias, through their telepathic link, "Boss, do you want to see what this Titan is up to or can I send him flying against their shield?"

Elias chuckled and immediately replied to him, "Wait a little longer; this Titan looks more interesting than the others. I want to see what he is capable of. Be careful; when he is ready to attack, reinforce your force field. Don’t take any unnecessary risks. Understood?"

Isaac then said to him, "You’re the boss... But damn, he’s starting to seriously piss me off with those fire tentacles."

He heard Elias’s laughter in his head before the communication cut off, and then he said to tease this Titan, "Hey kid, I hope the spell you’re preparing in your right hand is really worth it, because you’re not going to hurt me with those tentacles."

He saw his face contract a little, and this Titan then said to him, "You are too arrogant; one day or another, you will end up paying for it."

Isaac smiled and said to him sincerely, "Kid, you’re wrong. It’s not arrogance; it’s just having a lot of experience. I have fought so many creatures; I have even fought gods alongside my general and my brothers in arms. I have been fighting since the dawn of time, so believe me, if you manage to surprise me with this attack, I will forfeit."

While he was avoiding his tentacles of fire and letting him quietly prepare his attack, a vision suddenly appeared to him. It was fragmented and not very coherent, but he saw that this ball of energy he was preparing was going to destroy his force field and inflict serious injuries on him.

Moreover, it was going to break this shield, which nevertheless seemed very resistant, and kill all the Titans who were in the stands behind him.

Damn, this guy was completely unaware of the real power of his attack, or was he so confident in their shield that he thought it would absorb it? He then had flashes of this Titan’s life and the indoctrination he had received since he was young. He also saw the war: thousands of demons with legendary creatures and Titans fighting side by side.

He didn’t know where this battle was taking place, but it looked like this world, and the gods and the Warrior Spirits were fighting side by side against this army. Who would have been able to guess that this day would come? After all, the Warrior Spirits had appeared first to fight them... It was so long ago, and that was proof that nothing was immutable and changed over time.

He wasn’t nostalgic of this time, though; it was the worst that humanity lived through, and it was out of the question that this universe fell again into chaos.

Then he had more flashes, but they changed so fast that he barely had time to see them, and suddenly he heard Elias’s voice in his head, "Damn it, Isaac, what are you doing? You have to deflect that attack to the sky, do you hear me?"

He immediately came to his senses and said to Elias, "I can’t do this without using my Stage 2; this attack will go right through me and break the shield."

But Elias replied to him, "Then avoid it and make it explode towards the top of the shield. I don’t want this Emperor to use the death of these Titans to declare war against us. Got it?"

He then said to him seriously, "Elias, I have seen it; I have seen the war. They are too well prepared; it is inevitable, right?"

He then heard Elias sigh and say, "Stay focused on your fight, Isaac; he is coming."

Indeed, this little bastard had finally finished preparing his attack, and he was heading towards him at high speed while trying to immobilize him with his tentacles. Fortunately for him, even without using his Stage 2, he was much faster than this little jerk.

He used all his speed to disappear from his field of vision and passed behind him. He then grabbed him from behind while blocking his right wrist and directing it to the sky, and then he said to him, "Bravo, you have managed to impress me."
