My Lust System: I Inherited The Sin Of Lust And His Three Wives-Chapter 110: Black Swarm
If it had been any other day, Damian would have been too terrified to even consider fighting. But today was different. His mood had already sunk to its lowest point. After months with his wives, they still unconsciously looked down on him, and now demons that were meant to stand beneath him hunted him in broad daylight as though he were some common criminal.
"I’ve had enough of all these stuck-up, proud bastards thinking they control my fate... God, I’m tired of feeling like a side character in my own story," Damian sighed heavily as his gaze fixed on the crimson moon hanging in the sky.
His eyes moved across the surroundings, taking in the chaos below. Cars had been thrown off course, crashing into one another, slamming into buildings and streetlights. Yet despite the destruction, there were no serious injuries. It was as if the world itself had been isolated and rewritten for this single moment.
Slowly, he undid his tie, a low, maddened chuckle slipping past his lips. He pulled off his shirt, exposing his bare upper body before turning and walking out of his office. His footsteps echoed through the wide, empty corridors, the silence of the building pressing in around him.
He stepped into the elevator and selected the top floor. As it ascended, he stood still, his gaze locked onto his reflection in the mirrored wall. His face began to distort, shifting, reshaping until it resembled Lin Qui. His hair lengthened, flowing down to his waist as violet flames ignited around him, consuming his attire and replacing it with the black and purple Hanfu robes Lin Qui had worn the day they met.
Ding!
The elevator doors slid open, and Damian stepped out with both hands clasped behind his back, his robes fluttering faintly as if stirred by an unseen wind. He walked calmly toward the staircase that led to the rooftop.
His plan was simple.
Slaughter everything that dared step foot into his domain.
For too long, he had allowed these demons to roam freely, acting as hunters. It was time to remind them that he was not prey. He was a prince of hell, and Chicago was his territory.
In less than a minute, he stood atop the rooftop railing, looking down at the silent world below. The wind howled around him, tugging at his robes as he closed his eyes, savoring the sensation for a brief moment.
At the same time, his instincts stretched outward, reaching to their limits as he searched for the source of the disturbance. Unless Duke Haborym was hiding himself with some special method, Damian was certain he would find him.
Then the calm shattered.
A series of loud bangs echoed through the air, like fists slamming repeatedly against an unseen barrier. Damian’s eyes snapped open, his gaze locking onto the source.
His brows furrowed as space itself began to bulge unnaturally, swelling like a grotesque growth. He watched as it expanded further and further until it burst.
Keeeeeeesssssshhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!
An eerie, piercing cry tore through the heavens as a swarm of black, winged demons erupted from the rupture, clustering together like a murder of crows before surging outward in overwhelming numbers.
Damian’s expression darkened.
Bam!
Without hesitation, he leapt from the rooftop. The sound of bones cracking echoed behind him as something within his body shifted violently. The outline of massive wings pushed against his flesh, straining for release. Then, with a brutal tear, his back split open, blood spraying outward as his wings burst free and spread wide in all their terrifying glory.
Like a beacon in the storm, his presence drew their attention instantly.
The black swarm that had begun to scatter across the city shifted direction, converging toward him in a relentless tide. Damian remained unmoved, his expression calm as his focus shifted to the system notifications appearing before him.
[Name: Black Swarm]
[Race: Demon]
[Rank: Lesser Demon]
[Description: A swarm of undying devil vultures whose strength solely relies on their number. While they may be low tier among the demon hierarchy, the Black Swarm is feared because they share only one heart. Unless the Calamity Vulture, the leader of the pack and the heartbearer of the flock, is found, the Black Swarm remains invincible] 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Damian’s cold gaze lifted to meet the approaching tide. The swarm moved like a living catastrophe, a dark ocean threatening to swallow him whole.
Hmph!
[Soul Lantern Activated]
A cold blue light reflected across his face as azure flames erupted from his palms, surging wildly with destructive intent. He extended his hand toward the incoming swarm with casual authority.
"Burn!"
The flames roared forward like a raging tide, colliding with the swarm in an instant. The clash was violent, overwhelming, and for a brief moment, it seemed absolute. The black swarm was engulfed, their shrieks piercing through the inferno as the azure flames painted the crimson sky in a contrasting glow.
But there was no time to linger.
From both sides, massive detachments of the swarm flanked him, closing in rapidly. Yet what shocked him was not their speed, but what he saw.
They were still moving.
Even as their bodies burned with his soul fire, they continued their assault without hesitation.
"Impossible. Soul fire eradicates all souls. It doesn’t matter if they don’t have a heart. I should be able to kill them without killing the Calamity Vulture!"
His voice carried disbelief, but reality refused to bend. The swarm pressed in from all directions, trapping him in a tightening pincer.
Then it struck him.
’If they can be linked to one heart, what stops them from being linked to one soul... That fucking calamity bird has their soul!’
The realization came too late to change his immediate situation. Instead, it only confirmed the system’s warning. Without locating the Calamity Vulture, destroying the swarm would be nearly impossible.
The tide closed in.
For a fleeting moment, the sensation dragged him back to childhood memories of suffocating darkness, of hiding beneath his bed, screaming in panic as the walls of fear closed in around him.
But that child was gone.
Damian’s eyes sharpened, his presence shifting as something far more dangerous surfaced.
"SINCE YOU’RE SO EAGER TO DIE, COME AT ME, I’LL SEND YOU OFF!" he roared.
