Tian Hua looked outside into the bright night sky. She looked at her watch worriedly and frowned. "I hope nothing happened to Shen-ge..."
Xiao Shen had told her to wait in here for a little while, saying that he would be back very soon. Now, it was nearing ten minutes since he was gone.
As for Xiao Shen ditching her here, it did not even come to mind!
After all, she had grown up with him since childhood and she knew that he was not that kind of person. If he no longer wanted to be friends, he was someone who would tell the person face to face!
The waitress sister was sitting in the corner with her head lowered. She was busy on her phone, doing research and downloading free textbooks on chemistry that she could find on the web. If you don’t remember, this was the poor waitress who had her worldview misaligned by Xiao Shen’s and Tian Hua’s earlier epiphany.

Tian Hua thought to herself as she suddenly stood up. After all, Xiao Shen was an airhead sometimes who did not think before doing something.

At this moment, the door to the cafe opened up. Walking in beneath the waning lights was her beloved... I mean, her Shen-ge. He seemed a bit exhausted, but it was only fair since the night had gone a bit far. By his side, was a bald sister with six jieba on her head.
"Shen-ge!" Tian Hua radiated with joy upon seeing him. Her thoughts had been unfounded and he had not been in any trouble!

"Sorry to have kept you waiting, Hua-jie!" Xiao Shen smiled brightly at her.
"Humph." Tian Hua pouted and folded her hands. "A mere sorry is not enough to suffice!"
"Alright, alright, I’ll take you to play at home once the semester is over!" Xiao Shen chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
Tian Hua no longer lived at the same place as Xiao Shen as she had moved when they were in highschool. Ever since they met again in the university, Tian Hua had been asking to see Mama Xiao, Papa Xiao and... Well, Little Xiao.
However, with his mom pressuring him to get a girlfriend quickly, he dared not invite Tian Hua over!
After all, since they were children, everyone had been calling them a match made in heaven.
"Hmph. It’s not enough." Tian Hua snorted playfully and shook her small head.
"Aiyah, then I’ll treat you to something very good tomorrow!" Xiao Shen spread out his hands.
"Alright then!" Tian Hua smiled brightly, showing her cute dimples as she nodded her head. Then, she looked at the bald sister and raised a brow. "Hello!"
"Hello, little junior sister." Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma smiled genially and waved back.
It was a very genial smile...
"Introduce us, Shen-ge!" Tian Hua gave him a frowning look that snapped Xiao Shen back to his senses.
He chuckled dryly and scratched the back of his head. "Oh, right."
Just now, he had been thinking of a convenient lie that would kill off all questions that might arise in this situation!
"She is Shan Ye, my, uh, cousin." Xiao Shen said with confidence.
Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma twitched the corner of her eye.

Tian Hua furrowed her brows and tilted her head slightly. "Ah, your cousin? How come we haven’t met before?"
"Well, that’s because she lived abroad haha, and she has cancer." Xiao Shen replied her with a dry laugh.
He had covered every initial question!

How come we’ve not met? She was abroad!
Why? She has cancer, and one could infer that she might have been taking treatment in a foreign hospital!
This also explained why she was bald!
And it also diverted any other questions, as people would usually feel guilty for asking and get emotional, preventing them from asking any further questions!

Tian Hua nodded her head slowly and her gaze towards this so called cousin from abroad, "Shan Ye", instantly changed to one of pity. "Oh... I’m sorry for asking."
"There’s no problem." Xiao Shen nodded his head. Inwardly, there was a big grin on his face.
This gentleman was an experienced expert at convenient lying!
Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma was trying her best to suppress her impulses and give Xiao Shen a good spanking for telling lies, so she did not talk much.
Thus, Tian Hua assumed that she did not like talking about the topic and directly changed it. "She came visiting?"
"Mmn." Xiao Shen nodded his head. "However, she doesn’t have a place to stay. I was wondering if she could stay with you for the time being?" Xiao Shen had a pleading look on his face.
"Oh. Then it’s no problem." Tian Hua shrugged her shoulders. The room was a bit lonely as she was the only one within and she wouldn’t mind having someone to talk to after classes.
Hearing this, Fairy Virtuous Nun of Good Karma smiled genially once again.

She placed her hands together and bowed.
