My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls-Chapter 80. A Cute Bonding Moment With Mother Before Leaving The Castle.
Vulcan stared at his son for a long time before exhaling slowly. "...Very well, Jarvis. I leave him to you." He turned away and walked out of the room.
Jarvis nodded in understanding before bowing deeply. "As you command, Your Majesty."
He watched Vulcan stepping back into the hallway with the door sealing behind him with a heavy thud.
The butler’s expression hardened as his thoughts shifted elsewhere.
He understood the excitement the King currently had, despite how hard he tried to act tough in front of his son.
Of course, he understood his reasons for doing this, but Jarvis couldn’t help but wonder how things would have turned out if the king had openly shown his son his soft and weak side as well.
Pushing this thought away from his mind, Jarvis returned his gaze to his prince before leaning over to wake the young Pyro Demon Prince.
Meanwhile, back at Vivian’s castle, the soft morning light filtered through the tall arched windows of Vivian’s bedchambers as it warmed up the entire room.
Vivian’s bedroom had huge crimson colored curtains with a carved dresser shaped like folded wings and a full-length mirror framed by curling dragon motifs.
Aster was currently standing in front of this mirror as he fastened the last clasp on his dark academy-styled clothing.
The outfit was a simple yet regal outfit which was actually a fitted black jacket worn on top of a white undershirt with a pair of matching black trousers and a long sash tied around his waist.
His hair had brushed neatly, and it fell softly over his forehead, with his sharp blue eyes reflecting sharply in the mirror. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Aster inhaled slowly as he recalled how important today really was.
He’d been training tirelessly for the past two months because of today.
"The Demon Youth Tournament," Aster muttered softly as he adjusted the cuff of his sleeve.
But while he was doing this, Aster suddenly heard a soft rustle coming from the doorway.
The door opened and Vivian entered the room with the grace of a goddess and the beautiful confidence of a queen.
Her ten-foot-tall frame glided smoothly across the smooth floor and Aster couldn’t help but be amazed by her mesmerizing beauty.
He noticed his mother was wearing a flowing morning ride made of black silk.
It hugged her curves elegantly and the fabric glued itself perfectly across her hips as she sashayed forward with effortless poise.
Her long crimson hair reached down to her back and Aster noticed her pointy and sharp horns, along with her soft pointy ears.
She continued to approach him before stopping behind him and her lips instantly curled into a warm, affectionate smile as she said. "Good morning, handsome."
And Aster turned toward her with a confident grin on his lips. "Good morning, Mother. You look beautiful as always."
Hearing this, Vivian’s smile brightened up even more and she narrowed her eyes playfully. "Oh really? And what part of me is beautiful, hmm?"
She lifted her chin slightly and posed with one hand on her hip while the other was raised delicately above her head.
Her eyes were now closed and her lips had curved into a teasing yet elegant smile as she waited to hear what Aster had to say.
She even tilted her body a little as she sashayed in place as if expecting him to give her a really good praise of how beautiful she was right now.
And of course, Aster noticed this, and he almost laughed at her dramatics which could definitely rival that of any noblewoman in the world.
Anyways, Aster stepped a bit closer, then he said the exact thing she wanted to.....
No, he decided to say the exact thing he knew she needed to hear at a time like this.
But Vivian asked him once again, seeing how he hadn’t answered her yet. "So, what part of me is beautiful, hmm?"
"All of you, Mother. Everything about you is beautiful."
While her eyes were still closed, Vivian suddenly opened one eye before opening the other, then her smile stretched into a delighted grin.
"I knew it. My little one is definitely going to be a lady killer in the future."
Hearing this, Aster rolled his eyes good-naturedly, but the smile on his face gave him away, and he simply couldn’t deny that he definitely had the charms and skills to do exactly that.
Seeing this, Vivian chuckled softly before stepping forward as she towered over him in the mirror, and with an elegant slowness, Vivian bent her knees and lowered herself behind him before wrapping her arms around his torso from behind.
Vivian rested her chin on his shoulder and her soft cheek pressed against his as the silk of her robe brushed his sleeve.
Now, the two of them looked at their reflection in the mirror, noticing their similar hair color and eye color.
But Vivian also noticed something very important that had happened to Aster recently.
Over the past two months, Aster had increased his mother’s and sister’s happiness level twice, and that means he had obtained two new dragon traits.
Although increasing it twice hadn’t been easy over the past two months, Aster was really happy and proud of the two new dragon traits he had awakened.
Looking closely at his reflection again, Aster noticed how the shape of his nose had changed a bit and how a small pair of horns was now on his forehead.
From first glance, it was easy to see that he had awakened his dragon sense of smell and dragon horns as well, and his mother had been teaching him how to make use of both traits, along with the ones he had already awakened before.
Anyways, leaving this aside for now, the two continued to admire themselves in front of the mirror.
Not saying anything, but simply enjoying the warmth and silence of being close to each other.
After admiring how adorable the two of them looked together as mother and son, Vivian finally opened her mouth to ask.
"So, is my little prince ready for the tournament today?"
"Yes, I am." Aster nodded.
"Nervous?"
"...Yeah. Only a little though."
Hearing this, Vivian adjusted her hold on him by hugging him closer as her chest pressed gently against his back while her chin nuzzled against his shoulder.
"Astaroth?" Vivian called out in a serious tone.
"Mm?"
"You know you don’t have to win to prove anything to your sister or me, right?"
Aster lowered his gaze. "Yeah, but..."
"No." Vivian’s arms tightened ever so slightly. "I mean it dear. I just want you to go out there and have fun, do you promise to do that for me?"
"Yes."
"That’s great to hear my dear, because Mama knows how hard her little handsome prince has been working these past two months. So no matter what happens in the tournament today, Mommy isn’t going to stop loving you, okay? And neither will your sister. Or anyone else in this household. Is that clear?"
Her words melted into him like warmth into frost and Aster leaned his head back slightly with a relieved and comforted sigh coming out of his lips. "Yes, Mom. Thanks, I feel a lot better now."
"You’re welcome dear."
"I love you."
"I love you more."
"And I love you the most."
"Careful sweetie, or you’re going to make Mommy rain kisses all over your face this morning."
Aster smiled and nodded in understanding with a smile on his face.
Vivian pulled back just enough to smile at him in the mirror and Aster couldn’t help but admire just how incredibly beautiful his mother was.
But Vivian suddenly realized something and a cute smile appeared on her lips.
"That’s it."
"What?".
"Mommy’s mind is made up. And just so you know, regardless of whether you win or not, Mommy is definitely going to rain kisses on her handsome dragon. Agreed?"
Aster chuckled softly and rolled his eyes with a smile before nodding in response. "Agreed."
Hearing this, Vivian beamed. "Ufufufu~ I knew it. My little one is the best. I love you so, so, so much."
"I love you too, Mom."
Feeling completely overjoyed, Vivian stood up, and her robe fluttered gently underneath her.
Then, she reached out and gently took his hand as they prepared to leave the castle.
"Come, my little prince. Are you ready to leave?"
With a newfound confidence in himself, Aster nodded his head happily in response and Vivian squeezed his hands gently with a smile.
"Alright, dear, let’s go announce yourself not only to the continent but also to the world," Vivian said and together, the two held each other’s hands before walking out of the chamber with the morning sun casting their shadows across the luxurious halls as they made their way out of the castle and into the courtyard where Lily, Hallie, Sara, Cara, Ripper, and a few other pumpkin knights were awaiting their arrival.
