My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls-Chapter 72. Everyone Bowed To The Queen Of Snowmen.
"KYAAAA....!!"
Lily and Astrid were tossed face-first into the snow, and both girls raised their heads up, wondering what had just happened.
Noticing this, Vivian giggled and informed them. "Careful, girls, the mini snowmen behind us aren’t here to help us, you know. They’re our enemies as well."
"Huh? But I thought they were on the same team as us?" Lily asked, dusting the snow off her body.
"Well, yes dear. You’re kind of right about that, but they won’t join us until you’ve defeated their champion." Vivian explained as she fired some more snowballs straight at Hallie and Cara, who also seemed to be distracted by the mini snowmen firing snowballs at them from behind.
But Jay Jay took it upon himself to battle against the snowmen alone and this made Astrid realize that even Hallie’s group was just as busy as they were, meaning that they were equally fighting against the mini snowmen on their team, just as she and Lily were also about to battle against the mini snowmen in her team.
She decided that Vivian must have probably allowed the snowmen to attack both teams because she wanted everyone to be preoccupied with something.
Which meant that the only way a team could win the war, was if they were able to adapt to their surroundings as quickly as possible before the other team did.
Satisfied with her conclusion, Astrid swiftly brought her gaze back to the snowmen charging straight at them.
She fired a barrage of snowballs at the mini snowmen before turning her attention to Vivian. "If we do defeat their champion, won’t that make them mad at us?"
"Ufufufu~ probably, but they would also acknowledge you as their new leader."
"So, they won’t try to attack us anymore?"
"They might, but that’s a risk we’ll have to take."
"But how will I know who their champion is?"
"I think that’s him." Lily pointed to a small snowman with something on its head that resembled a crown.
The crown was made of tiny sticks and twigs, so it looked cute.
"If you can get your hands on that crown, you’ll become their new champion," Vivian informed them as she drew her attention back to Hallie and Cara who were still aiming snowballs at her.
Unlike the pillow fight, Vivian, Hallie, and Cara weren’t using their abilities to fight against each other, and neither was Jay Jay.
Their objective was to have fun while playing with each other, so everyone was simply gathering as many ammos as they could create before firing them at superhuman speed which clearly was the extent of what all three were allowed to use.
However, this rule didn’t apply to Astrid and Lily who were clearly the youngest among everyone playing in the courtyard.
Well, since Lily hadn’t awakened her core yet, it meant that only Astrid was allowed to cast a spell during their snowball fight, but even she didn’t do that because she wanted to enjoy the game just like everybody else.
Although the reason she wasn’t against the idea of not using her powers throughout the game was that she believed that it would be better to use them at the right time when she would need them the most.
That was Astrid’s plan, which was a great way for her to conserve her mana for the perfect time to use it.
And so, Astrid continued to attack just like everybody else.
Meanwhile, Lily continued to happily grab as many snowballs as she could before aiming them straight at the little snowmen in front of her.
She charged forward, and Astrid supported her from behind, but the little guys were very stubborn, and they made it difficult for Astrid and Lily to grab their champion’s crown.
So, the two demons had no other choice but to be smart and cunning at the same time.
However, their efforts to obtain the crown became futile because the little snowmen were surprisingly smart and cunning as well, so no matter the tricks the two princesses tried to use against them, none of their plans were successful and that was how the battle continued until one of the snowmen committed a very grievous mistake.
While Lily yelled and charged at the little snowman champion himself, one of its little snowman minions had launched a snowball straight at Lily’s face, and it stung her eyes, causing the little dragon to scream and cry aloud.
Noticing this, every single snowman in the courtyard got pissed at the little snowman who had made the little dragon princess cry.
Even the snow champion had to stomp his way up to the stupid little snowman, before slapping him on the face for making their princess cry.
The poor, little snowman hung his head in disappointment and kowtowed in regret for what it had done. Then when it raised its head to apologize to the snowman champion as well, the little snowman tilted its head in surprise and pointed at the champion’s head.
The champion placed its arms on its head and its mouth widened in surprise when it realized that its crown was no longer on its head.
It spun around in fear, but then it noticed that Lily was now holding the twig crown with both hands as she giggled before putting the crown on her head.
It turned out that Astrid had silently cast a snow magic that enabled her to command the small ice pellets in the air, which in turn, had helped her to easily lift the twig crown from the champion’s head, right after it had slapped the little snowman, and it never suspected a thing.
Then Astrid gently glided the crown to Lily and the little dragon princess happily grabbed it before putting it on.
"Hehehe~ I am your new champion." Lily happily announced, and every little snowman had their mouth fall open in surprise.
Lily giggled as she walked up to the sad little snowman who had received a slap a few minutes ago, then she patted its head with a smile and apologized for lying and tricking it.
The little snowman didn’t mind because Lily was a demon princess, and as such, it was expected of her to do something as conniving as that.
It was also its own fault for believing her trickery so easily.
But the same thing went for all the other snowmen who easily got tricked, thanks to Lily’s impeccable acting.
So, in the end, the little snowman held no grudge against Lily for making every single snowman in the courtyard hate it.
Instead, it happily hugged Lily in return and Lily lifted it up to sit on her shoulder and give it a better view of its surroundings.
Looking around, the little snowman smiled and glanced at every other snowman in front of it and Lily.
Then, it raised its hand and lowered it right after, indicating that everyone should bow before their new champion.
Of course, it was talking about Lily and not itself.
And just like that, everyone bowed to their new champion and queen of all mini snowmen.
Feeling satisfied, the little dragon princess yelled out excitedly. "Hehehe ~ alright, everyone, let’s win this battle!!"
"Yeah!!!" Tiny squeaking noises shouted out, causing Astrid to giggle, then she covered her mouth to hide her smile while she stared at the most adorable little army she had ever set eyes on.
"Charge!!!!"
"Charge!!!"
The tiny army of mini snowmen charged forward while holding either a twig or a small snowball in hand, and Vivian giggled as she increased the pace and strength of her attack, hitting both Hallie and Cara while Astrid cast a snow magic spell that buried most of her opponents’ mini snowmen in snow.
Jay Jay turned around in a hurry, but to his surprise, he noticed a huge snowman standing in front of him with a large snowball lifted above its head.
It turned out that the mini snowmen had fused with each other to form one really big snowman which then lifted and slammed a really huge snowball straight at Jay Jay.
"Oh shucks."
*Bam!!!*
Lily giggled as she watched her team win against Hallie and Cara’s team and a triumphant smile appeared on her lips.
Vivian also giggled before asking.
"Anyone interested in having a second round?"
"Yeah, bring it on!!"
"Yeah!!" The mini snowmen joined Lily in cheering and that was how the snow war continued for the rest of the day with screams and yells, echoing throughout the courtyard.
Several moments later, the snow had melted and the sky had turned dark.
Lily and Astrid were ushered into warm baths, and both of them swiftly got into their fuzzy pajamas before stepping back into Vivian’s bedroom.
But neither of them was feeling sleepy at the moment, so Lily thought it would be better to show Astrid how fun it was to have a pillow fight just before going to bed.
However, to her surprise, Lily noticed a dead Aster sprawled across the bed.
"Big brother!!!!!"
