My Formula 1 System-Chapter 270: Welcome To Jackson Racing. 3
Luca's introduction to Jackson Racing went smoothly and professionally. He met with all the key crew members and confidently assured them that he was here to make progress.
Rodnick wasn't present that day, but a few other drivers were, including Di Renzo.
However, Luca was too caught up with other matters to have personal discussions with them. There would be plenty of time for that once the season began.

To his surprise, Jackson Racing had more than the four drivers he initially thought. In total, there were eight registered under the team, with the others being younger drivers, some even younger than Luca himself.
Rumors suggested that Jackson Racing was planning to establish a junior team in the feeder series below them.
That seemed like the logical place for these young drivers to start since Luca couldn't imagine them competing alongside seasoned names like Di Renzo and Rodnick, let alone Rossi, who had been the main driver of the team two seasons ago.
It had been a long day, but Luca managed to wrap up his investiture, especially after Mallow and Sara arrived as planned.
Together, they concluded any remaining discussions with the Jackson board before finally taking their leave to retire for some respite.
Later that day, Luca was officially set to move into the villa he had recently purchased.
It was located in Knightsbridge, one of London's most prestigious areas, known for its luxury residences and exclusivity. Luca had to admit. It had cost him a lot.
Technically, he was moving in, but it didn't quite feel that way, so he didn't refer to it as such. With the few belongings he had with him, he and his group made their way to Knightsbridge, where the villa awaited.
They pulled up to the villa minutes later. From the entrance of the hilly region, the opulence of the place was already on display.
Luca loved the way the white modern architecture stood tall behind the gate and fence. All exterior lights were glowing even in the day, and the smooth driveway led them to the gate, which had already recognized their arrival and was sliding open automatically.
Mallow and Sara followed behind in their own car and finally stopped in the garage, everyone stepping out to take in the fresh scent of nature.
"You must be the luckiest property customer in the world," Mallow said, spinning around. "You get the house in Dahlem for a lower price, and then you get this one without hassle."
The villa was breathtaking, mostly because of the stunning view of the surrounding landscape filled with valleys, greenery, and rolling hills.
Then for the complex-shaped building itself, everything about it was white except for the flat roof, which had a tan-orange color of luxury.
There were large glass windows from floor to ceiling and open terraces, bringing indoor and outdoor living together as one.
The outdoors featured the green lawn and the swimming pool, which attracted the sunlight hiding behind the clouds. And there was a pergola sitting area just like the one at his other house in Dahlem.
Luca compared both exteriors of the houses to determine which was better in that aspect.
The house in Dahlem was slightly bigger, and though it was modern, it had a more definite shape than the villa's sophisticated facade. Both were painted white and had similar windows.
The villa's pool was bigger and the lawn greener, though there was an absence of any trees that might cause clusters of fallen leaves.
So far, the villa was better, but it definitely didn't give the warmth of home the house in Dahlem did.
Luca just realized he had two properties in different countries, and he might have to sell the house in Dahlem if that became the case.
They all entered the building to relax and have refreshments after a long day. The inside of the villa was even more luxurious than the outside. So many rooms looked alike, all because of the white walls.
"I already hired cleaners, a gardener, and maintenance staff," Sara announced as she walked into the kitchen area, setting her purse down on the marble countertop.
"I'm not going to let you neglect this place the way you did with your house in Dahlem. Thinking you could manage everything yourself while being a full-time Formula driver was ridiculous."
Luca exhaled, rubbing the back of his neck. "I didn't neglect it that bad…"
Sara wanted to start mentioning everything, but Luca caught her off with appreciation. "Thank you, ma! I appreciate the workers!"
---------------
It was evening now, and darkness had completely taken over the sky.
The swimming pool at the villa no longer reflected the golden rays of the sun but instead captured the moon's ethereal white glow, along with the warm illumination from the house and the exterior lights spread around the property.
The workers would begin their duties tomorrow, so for now, Luca was alone for the night. His team had left just two hours ago, and the silence of the villa had fully settled in.
He could handle himself just fine. Earlier, he had managed to make something to eat for lunch, and afterward, he finally got in an evening gym session, something he had been meaning to do for a while.
After a long shower, he wrapped himself snugly in a thick house coat and served himself a cup of hot chocolate.
He stood by one of the floor-to-ceiling windows, gazing out into the abyss beyond, his mind wandering.
For a brief moment, he imagined the possibility of a thief or even a wild animal lurking in the darkness, spying on him from the shadows.
The thought was absurd. Luca let out a small chuckle and took a slow sip of his chocolate.
The villa was empty now, but that wouldn't be the case for long. He had plans.
He would wait until things between him and Isabella had advanced further, until Mr. Schäfer had finally exhausted himself with all the friction he had been causing.
Once Isabella was legally free from all restrictions, with no one left to dictate her choices, he would invite her to move in.
It would be risky. But he would take the risk.
Luca sank into the couch and navigated to the motorsports channel, hoping to catch up on some news.
On the screen, a certain reporter, Mr. Callum Voss, sat at a discussion table, already deep in conversation with the host.
Luca knew Mr. Voss well, he was notorious for stirring controversy and never missing a chance to criticize the FIA.
No matter the decision, Voss found a way to condemn it, making a career out of questioning their authority and regulations.
He never bothered with race analytics or technical breakdowns. Instead, he thrived on drama, always pushing narratives that kept the motorsports world on edge.
This night, it seemed Voss was criticizing the authorization of the use of HiCEs on the track.
Luca understood that one. Plenty of people had voiced their concerns, so maybe, for once, Voss wasn't the only one against something.
Still, Luca was curious to hear what the man had to say.
"…It's nonsensical! It's absurd and outright stupid to validate such a standard!" Voss declared, his voice loud and his hands gesturing wildly.
"But the FIA explained everything in the—" the host in a sharp navy suit attempted to interject, but Voss immediately cut him off.
"Do these regulations even consider balance? What if a team pairs these so-called Super Engines with a weak chassis? What then? We'll have a second Aldo incident nearly two decades later!"
"Mr. Voss—"
"These regulations need strict and absolute control! The hunger for innovation and machinery is dangerous!"
Wow, Luca thought. This guy is really passionate about his opinion.
"We will lose competition, the tension, everything that makes this the best sport in the world!" Voss ranted.
The host chuckled at that, glancing at the cameras for a brief second. "But won't this higher standard increase competition instead?"
"It'll do the opposite!" Voss shot back. "Once the bigger teams perfect these Super Engines, what's left for the smaller teams? Every round, every race, the same drivers will dominate. There'll be no unpredictability!"
That's actually true… Luca thought.
But his eyes widened when the so-called mad reporter dropped something he didn't expect to hear.
"Take Trampos Racing, for example—the new addition to Formula 1," Voss continued. "Tell me, Ralph, what are their chances of competing in this new structure? This is madness! I say the...."
The rest of his words faded into white noise as Luca sat up and grabbed his phone. He needed to be sure.
Navigating to the F1 application, he didn't have to search far. It was the top headline since it was just announced about an hour ago.
"THE FIA CHOOSES F2 CHAMPIONS TRAMPOS RACING AS NEVADA'S REPLACEMENT"
Below it was a Monza podium photo, capturing their championship celebratory moment.
