My First Love Died, Now My Step Uncle Wants Me-Chapter 47: Following the Third Lord Master Is No Loss
After nearly two months of meticulous care, she was finally showing signs of improvement.
Some flesh had finally returned to Nina Wynn’s pitifully small face, and the color had come back to her lips, making them look soft and delicate again. The sight of them made Caleb Rhodes want to hold them between his own and ravage them.
In those two months, Nina Wynn seemed to have grown accustomed to his touch. Knowing she couldn’t escape, she had simply stopped trying to avoid him.
She just kept her eyes lowered, her small, pale hands clasped together. Her voice was still quiet, making her sound docile. "Uncle, can I eat something with some flavor now?"
Caleb Rhodes tilted her chin up, studying her for a long moment. He seemed somewhat pleased with her current state, and his voice softened considerably. "You can have something with flavor occasionally, but for the most part, you still have to follow the nutritionist’s meal plan."
Nina Wynn seemed a little disappointed. She murmured a small "oh" and bit her lip out of habit.
Her glistening lips took on a moist sheen.
Caleb Rhodes’s gaze lingered on them for a second, his eyes growing darker. He suddenly swept her into his arms and walked into the room.
Before he even reached the bed, he lowered his head and bit down on Nina Wynn’s lips.
Then, he ravaged them, grinding against them again and again.
Soon, his hand slipped inside Nina Wynn’s clothes.
Nina Wynn arched her body, still subconsciously recoiling.
Although she no longer tried to get away or struggle violently, it didn’t mean she could completely accept it, much less actively welcome his advances.
Besides, when it came to this, Caleb Rhodes was terrifyingly forceful. It made little difference whether Nina Wynn avoided him or not; submission was likely the only thing he wanted from her.
His hand moved slowly up her soft skin, and every inch it traveled sent a shiver through her.
When his hand passed over the hideous scar, it stopped.
He slowly traced its outline.
Nina Wynn’s body tensed instantly, and she scrambled to grab his hand. "Don’t! It’s so ugly, don’t touch it!"
Caleb Rhodes pinned both of her small hands with one of his while his other hand continued to move slowly over her scar. His voice was impossibly hoarse. "It’s not ugly. When you’re a bit better, we’ll get it fixed with surgery. It can be restored to be as beautiful as before."
As he spoke, he lowered his head and captured her lips once more, biting down even harder this time.
Nina Wynn tilted her small head back, able only to endure it.
His hand gradually moved upward, finally trying to grasp her sweet fullness through the fabric of her undergarment.
But though she was slender, she was anything but lacking where it counted. He couldn’t cup her fully with one hand, so he had to slip his hand beneath the softest layer of fabric.
’Incredibly soft!’
Their breathing suddenly quickened, and both began to pant slightly. This was especially true for Caleb Rhodes. Nina Wynn never dared to look at him at times like these.
He was completely different from his usual self at these moments. His cold, composed, and noble aura seemed to vanish completely, leaving only the ferocity and carnal desire of a beast bent on devouring its prey.
But the most terrifying part wasn’t the change in his demeanor. It was his eyes. They were bloodshot. She was terrified; she wanted to run.
But he held her so firmly, leaving her with no escape.
Slowly, the panting grew heavier, and even the temperature seemed to rise. Through the layers of fabric, Nina Wynn could feel his startling change, and she couldn’t help but grow afraid, trembling as she curled up in his arms.
Caleb Rhodes seemed to relish the feeling of having complete control over her. His grip didn’t loosen but tightened, pulling her firmly into his embrace. He grew more and more unrestrained, until his strength was so great it felt as if he wanted to crush her into his very bones and blood.
Only when Nina Wynn was on the verge of suffocating did he finally release her.
She gasped for air like a fish thrown back into water, while Caleb Rhodes simply stood up, straightened his clothes, and regained his composure as if nothing had happened at all.
The alarming red faded from his eyes, replaced by their usual cold stillness. Even his voice was detached.
"A new hot spring resort just opened in the Western Suburbs. We’ll head out in a bit."
Nina Wynn lay sprawled on the bed, not daring to look at him. From her angle, she could only see his long, lean legs encased in his suit trousers.
But that one glance was enough. Her mind was uncontrollably flooded with the memory of the sheer size and heat she had felt just moments before.
Her face immediately flushed an even deeper red, and a faint pink blush spread to her neck.
Caleb Rhodes’s gaze had been locked on her the whole time. The sight of her ears suddenly turning red brought a touch of softness to his eyes.
He strode forward and scooped her up. "We’re leaving now."
Nina Wynn’s body felt flushed. She buried her head in his chest, not daring to speak or look at him. She was afraid that if their eyes met, he would see the sordid thoughts in her mind. All she could do was clutch his shirt tightly and let him carry her to the car.
Two Bentleys, one in front and one behind, pulled slowly out of the hospital. They merged into traffic, the ride so smooth it felt like they were gliding over the ground.
Gazing at the bustling traffic outside, Nina Wynn felt as if she were in another world.
She hadn’t been outside in so long that even the sight of the skyscrapers felt novel.
As they passed through the city’s busiest district, Willson Lawson, who was in the front seat, suddenly spoke up. "Up ahead is the Third Lord Master’s Nash Group. Tsk, impressive, right?"
Through the car window, Nina Wynn saw a large complex of office buildings, at least twenty or thirty of them. The one at the very front was the most imposing. Its massive, golden "Nash Group" sign was dazzling and radiant under the sun.
The entire Nash Group complex was built in a deep blue. While normally a heavy and somber color, covering such a vast expanse it projected an air of nobility that compelled one to look up in awe and submit.
Nina Wynn stared, completely captivated.
For some reason, she felt the building complex was just like Caleb Rhodes—so powerful it was suffocating.
Just then, Willson Lawson spoke again, his tone smug. "Huge, right? It’s one of the top conglomerates in Oriens. But even something this massive is no big deal to our Third Lord Master. He has even bigger investments in Aridia and Elysia."
As if annoyed by his chatter, Caleb Rhodes frowned. "You talk too much," he said, his tone icy.
Willson Lawson shrugged, looking quite pleased with himself. "Third Lord Master, it might look like the Rhodes Family has your back, but in reality, you’re the one propping them up. To put it bluntly, without this kind of massive financial support, whose political career could be so smooth sailing?"
Then, his tone shifted abruptly. He glanced at Nina Wynn in the rearview mirror. "So, Miss Wynn, you’re not getting a bad deal by being with our Third Lord Master!"
Nina Wynn averted her gaze and lowered her eyes. She looked at no one and said nothing. Sitting there so quietly, her very presence seemed to fade.
"Noisy!" Caleb Rhodes’s tone turned sharp. "Say one more word and get out!"
This time, Willson Lawson finally shut up.
Once they left the city center, the car sped along. As they passed the new industrial park, Nina Wynn, who was looking out the window, suddenly trembled, her small face turning deathly pale.
Caleb Rhodes followed her gaze outside. He saw a large complex of buildings. On the sign atop the foremost building, two words were emblazoned: Reboot Technologies!
