My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 728
Chapter 728
Anton reiterated to the forest elves, especially to the young ones who were listening in, though he could not detect who the young ones were simply because of how the elves looked, that the only reason he was brave enough to explore the depths of the ocean was because of his wizardly might and high defense. He reminded them that he was a confirmed Supreme Rank Wizard and could fight head-on any obstacle the ocean could throw at him.
He saw that some of the elves nodded appreciatively when they heard Anton’s warning. He thought that those forest elves were the older ones who did not want their young ones suddenly galivanting towards the sea to explore its depths.
As expected, the elves requested the “making-of” videos of Avatar: The Way of Water. Without any delay, he showed it to them. All watched the footage, not that he expected some to miss it.
While they were watching, Anton headed to the back, and Enoril followed him.
“I was expecting some of them to question me about the concert.”
“All are curious, but it was understood that it was geared toward the young elves. Besides, everyone already learned that you’re willing to sell copies of your movies, and the concert would probably be included in one of those that would be requested from you.”
Anton knew that it would spread, and he wanted it to. He wanted the forest elves to know that he had the means for trading with them. He would establish a personal rule, though, that he would only sell copies of movies that the elves had already seen. He had decided that at most, he would only stay in this kingdom until he was satisfied that he had enough forest elven furniture. He was hoping that it would not take more than two weeks.
When the video ended, Anton did not linger and told Enoril that he wanted to rest, so the elf led the way back to the guest house. Anton was mentally exhausted since he had a very busy day, so he fell asleep immediately. He had even forgotten to set up his Pearl of the Ocean item.
The next day, Anton was woken up by a loud knocking on his door. He checked the time, and it was already eight in the morning. Anton was surprised that he slept for so long, but he did allow it to happen sometimes. Although it was only a theory, he felt that it would be healthy for him to have a full night's sleep without the aid of his Pearl of the Ocean item.
Anton and Enoril headed to the place where the breakfast buffet was served. While they were eating, he overheard what the elves were talking about, and it was all about the films. He also learned that not everyone had seen the movies since some still had work during the hours that the movies were shown, like the guards.
He then heard amusing information from the elves. Some of them were consoling those who had not seen the movies by telling them that soon copies of the movies would be available. He then heard the reply that it would be hugely different. Apparently, everyone learned that the 3d version could not be copied.
Anton just shook his head and continued eating his breakfast. After that, they went to Darodil’s place. Anton wanted to check the status of his order and what furniture the elf carpenter had decided to create.
Darodil met with them in his office and gave Anton a list of furniture that would be added to the tiny house as trade for copies of the three Avatar films. There were around ten basic pieces of furniture, such as a bed, a wardrobe, an office table, an armchair, and more. Thankfully, it could all be done within a short amount of time, since Darodil would not be the only one who would be working on his order.
He told the carpenter that he would like multiple copies of the basic furniture so that his father and sister could also have one, and Darodil just told him that they would talk again once they had seen the next films that would be shown after Avatar. Anton simply nodded, but inside, he was confident that the forest elves would like the Lord of the Rings franchise. Even though there were similarities in culture, it was still hugely different, since the movies were fiction, and his favorite franchise was the only one that made him cry that hard.
After that, Enoril just brought Anton to one of the parks that was still in full bloom, as if it were in spring due to magic. They had decided to rest for a bit and not to do too much activity that day. They spent the rest of the morning just hanging out with other elves, joining them once Anton retrieved his guitar from his inventory and started playing mellow songs from Earth. He skipped those songs that needed to be belted out since the purpose of staying in the beautiful park was to relax, and mellow songs were the best accompaniment for them.
He sang slow folk songs from the Earth’s 1960s and 1970s era, and the forest elves appreciated them. After singing five songs, Anton rested, and a female elf took his place and began playing a small harp. Anton had to admit after listening for a few minutes that the forest elves were truly great artists. The only advantage he had was a collection of songs from a whole planet and across different decades. Even if he had forgotten some of them, Anton could quickly search a list using his access to Earth’s internet.
When noon arrived, Enoril and Anton left the park to eat lunch, but a lot of the elves followed them. Enoril told him that the elves that were with them were the “young” elves. He felt a little excited because the girls among them were extremely beautiful, and a couple of them seemed very amiable to him, so he focused his attention on them. Their names were Nemerielle and Andevon.
Nemerielle was a blonde beauty, and Andevon was a redhead. Their beauty could take a man’s breath, and thankfully, the others gave them space.
Anton knew that he needed to make himself more impressive, so while they were eating, he told the elves, focusing on the two beauties, the different types of genres of movies one could see. He also explained to them other forms of videos, like television shows and animation. Everyone was hooked on his every word, and he expected that. Knowing movies from a whole different world was truly a huge advantage for Anton.
He told them the concept of actors, celebrities, and fame. He mentioned Hollywood, where the movies were made, and how the actors, directors, and everyone who worked on famous films became wealthy. That the world where the movies came from was connected to each other through a network called the internet, and that opened a whole new can of worms.
Anton then spent a couple of hours explaining to young elves how the internet works, and they were all extremely fascinated by the concept of being connected to everyone. He also told them some of the technology that was available on the dimension where the movies came from, but had to reiterate that space travel was not available yet, and all the things they had seen on the Avatar films were from the imagination of the movie makers. He had to speak for a long time, and soon, Anton felt tired. He appreciated the fact that Enoril seemed to sense it and disperse everyone. He then led Anton back to the guest house so that he could rest.
