My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 640
Chapter 640
Anton was thankful that he kept himself closed off from the members of his supposed team and did not befriend them. He just did not want any more deep heartache ever since the tragedy aboard the ship Amelia had happened.
Just like his previous squad in Mendoza, he had a shallow friendship with them. The possible death of his previous squad when the powerful semi-divine and divine liches attacked did not affect him too much compared to the impact his friends aboard the ship had.
He supposed that there was a chance that his previous squad survived. Cedon did, but then again, Cedon was a powerful Supreme Wizard.
During the meeting with what was left of his team, Captain Nando informed them that their next task would be given to them the next day. The rest of the day until tomorrow would be theirs. After that, they all went to the rooms assigned to them.
Anton was a little shocked that most of his team members were staying two or three people in a room, and only the most respected, which meant most powerful, could stay in a room alone. The fact that he was alone in a room signified that people respected his abilities. He wondered if it was because he could solo the level 65th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon?
It was only one hour before noon when he arrived at his room. Anton decided to return to the Rose Manor. He did not post any notes on his door because he did not want his movement to be very obvious. He assumed that everyone would be busy with their things since the rest of the day was supposed to be theirs. He used a town portal scroll inside his bathroom.
When Anton arrived at his room in the Rose Manor, he cast the Blizzard spell, turned into Mana Rain towards the whole manor, and as expected, Raymond arrived soon after. He was followed by Anders, Luna, and Alfred.
Luna and Alfred told him that they were glad that he was safe, then clamored for the next episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, so Anton gave it to them. After that, the siblings left immediately.
Thankfully, even though it was already late in the afternoon, Mr. Jenkins brought lunch. After putting all the food on the table, he promptly left Anton and Anders.
“So what level did you reach?” Anton asked his father while eating.
Since Anders had already eaten, he did not join him but stayed to talk to Anton.
“I’ve finally reached level 30 after several days. The Fist of the Heaven spell is truly amazing! Because of the legendary spear Insight’s aura, I can cast it repeatedly. I plan to return to the dungeon with my team next time, and I decided that we’re ready for the 10th floor.”
“Just don’t hesitate to use the teleport skill from the Enigma Armor and the portal scroll if you’re in danger,” Anton told his father.
After that, Anders asked about the situation with the Undead Coalition, and Anton shared all the details with his father. He remembered to ask Anders to write to Anna about the situation with the undead.

“Is there any news from her?” Anton asked.
“She’s doing fine. According to her letters, the academy is doing business as usual, and they did not care too much about the Undead Coalition.”
Anton stared at his father regarding that information. In hindsight, it was a little understandable. Ormunda had existed for millennia without encountering any serious problems, so institutions within the kingdom, like the magic schools, treated every piece of news from outside as something that could be easily handled by the powers that governed the kingdom. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
“At least she’s living well and safely,” Anton said.
“She did say that she was still striving her best to climb up the wizard ranks as fast as she could, and it was fast because of the Insight spear that you gave her. In her last letter, she reached wizard rank 7. She also clarified the wizard ranks. She said that wizards start from 1 to 9. Then the archmage rank, followed by Supreme, and Invincible. In her letter, she said that the ranks above nine are not simply reaching level 10, 11, or 12, but are much more complex than that. Not only that, the rank stone that is currently used to measure rank is inaccurate since it simply measures the amount of mana a wizard has and not their actual knowledge. That meant your Archmage, and now your Supreme rank, is unofficial. It would only be called official when you’ve undergone a test from one of the magic academies in Ormunda and New Drennor,” Anders said.
“Is there a need for my rank to be official?” Anton asked.
“Only if you want to enter politics, according to your sister’s letter. There are also other benefits, but she did not give any more details. More than likely, those benefits pertain to our living situation in the kingdom,” Anders replied.
Anton thought that the benefit might be plentiful, so if he had time in the future, he would make his rank official, but for now, he was too busy. Anton and his father talked for a couple more hours, then he decided to return to the fortified camp. He did not want his absence to be noted down if someone looked for him.
When he returned to his room in the camp, it was only six in the evening. Anton decided to level up his ladder Necromancer until he slept that night. He did reach level 60.
The next day, Anton joined Captain Nando and the rest of his team. Their task was simple. It was basically the same as what he was doing when he was in Mendoza. He was even assigned to a long-range and magic-strengthening array, and most of his teammates looked at him with envy. Apparently, one would only be assigned to such an array if one was considered an extremely powerful wizard, and Anton’s record in Mendoza, which for some reason had survived, spoke for him. He even met Cedon, and the young Supreme Wizard hugged him fiercely.
“I’m so glad you survived! You even volunteered for this fight!” Cedon said enthusiastically.
“Of course I would. I will not stop fighting the undead until they’re gone from this continent,” Anton simply replied. Cedon and the wizards with him looked at Anton appreciatively when they heard his comment.
After that brief meeting, Anton joined his team, and Captain Nando informed them that the undead horde would arrive the next day. The rest of the day was supposed to be used to familiarize themselves with the defensive arrays that the wizards from the three kingdoms had constructed.
Anton briefly tested the array, and it was exactly the same as the array that he was using in Mendoza, and he informed Captain Nando about that.
“That’s the reason why you’re assigned to an array. Your profile also mentioned your extraordinary magical stamina,” Captain Nando said.
“How many hours can you cast a spell at peak power?” One of his teammates asked.
“I haven’t exactly tested the exact duration, but based on my understanding of my abilities, I can last indefinitely as long as I can stop for brief moments to eat, drink, and relieve myself.”
“How is that possible?” Another teammate asked, and Anton simply shrugged.
The whole team spent a few hours familiarizing themselves with the magic defenses that were built by the wizards, and after that, the rest of the day was their own again. When Anton returned to his room, it was only two in the afternoon. He decided against going home to the Rose Manor and just entered his Diablo II system to continue leveling up his ladder Necromancer.
