My father sold me to the Mafia King-Chapter 166/The Fragile Alliance
Chapter 166
Julie’s Point of View
I didn’t know how to save myself from this lethal predicament; my heart was racing so fast I could feel the thudding in my ears. In a moment of desperation, I decided to use what I had learned in training.
I gathered all my strength, suddenly brought my knee up, and struck him in the dick with such force that a muffled, bitter scream escaped from between his teeth.
Marcus let go of me, doubling over and pressing his hands against the source of the pain, groaning, "Ooh... it hurts!"
I moved like lightning, bolting for the door, but despite his pain, he was faster. His hand shot out like a claw, grabbing my clothes with a force that jerked me backward as he panted with drunken rage. "Do you think you’re escaping me?"
He shoved me roughly onto the bed. I felt the mattress vibrate under my weight, and before I could rise, he was on top of me, pinning his hands beside my head. His eyes gleamed with a terrifying obsession as he whispered, "You’re mine, Violet... and no one can take you from me."
I began pounding on his chest with my hands, trying to push him off with every bit of resolve I possessed. I screamed at the top of my lungs, tears streaming down my cheeks, "Help! Someone help me!"
I hoped a guard in the hallway would hear me, or that a miracle would happen and Robert would return anyone to save me from this nightmare. Just as he was pinning me down with his heavy body, trying to kiss me by force while I jerked my head left and right in panic, the door burst open.

Olivia’s Point of View
I was walking down the hallway toward the exit, intending to leave the club after a long, exhausting night.
Suddenly, the silence was shattered by a sharp, muffled scream coming from Julie’s room. I froze for a second, and before I knew it, I was running madly toward the source of the sound.
I kicked the door open, my eyes widening in shock as I saw Marcus looming over Julie on the bed while she tried to push him away in terror.
My eyes landed on a large ceramic vase filled with red roses sitting nearby.
Without hesitation, I lunged toward the bed, gripped the vase with both hands, raised it high, and brought it down with all my might onto Marcus’s head. I heard the ceramic shatter, and Marcus immediately slumped unconscious onto Julie.
I quickly dragged him off and rolled him away from her to help her up; his weight was heavy even in his unconscious state. When Julie stood, her limbs were shaking violently and her tears wouldn’t stop.
I grabbed her shoulders and shook her gently, checking her with a worried gaze. "What happened? Are you okay? Did he do anything to you?"
She didn’t answer; she just trembled, her tongue failing to speak from the horror of the shock.
I pulled a chair over and sat her down, then poured her a glass of water, handing it to her shaking hand. "Julie, tell me... I’m dying of worry! What happened to you?"
"I... I thought he was going to rape me," she said in a broken whisper, her breath hitching.
Rage erupted in my chest like a volcano. I leaned down, picked up a sharp ceramic shard from the remains of the shattered vase, and said through gritted teeth, "Today, I’m slitting his throat!"
But Julie stood up quickly and caught my hand to stop me, sobbing, "No, Olivia! He wasn’t in his right mind... he thought I was someone else."
"For God’s sake, Julie, don’t defend him!" I shouted, trying to pull away from her.
"He doesn’t do things like this," she insisted, wiping her face. "But he drank so much he lost consciousness and thought I was his lover."
I tossed the ceramic piece carelessly to the floor and exhaled in frustration. I looked into her eyes and asked, "Are you sure you’re okay?"
She looked at me with sudden gratitude and threw herself into my arms, hugging me tightly as she whispered, "Thank you so much, Olivia... you saved my life."
My body stiffened for a moment. I didn’t know why I had saved her, or why I felt this much concern as if I actually cared about her. I pushed her away with a gentle, feigned coldness. "Don’t think I’m your friend, Julie... I was just doing my job."
She smiled weakly. "You’ve saved me twice now, Olivia... I don’t know how to thank you."
Ignoring her emotional talk, I nodded toward Marcus’s limp body. "Now, what do we do with him?"
"We have to get him out of here," she said, looking at the door anxiously.
"We need someone to carry him," I said seriously, placing my hands on my hips. "He’s heavy, and the guards here don’t keep quiet... they report everything to Robert."
Internally, I was asking myself in disbelief: Why am I hiding from Robert that Marcus tried to assault her? Why am I covering up his presence in her room? What’s come over me?
"I’ll call Max," Julie said quickly. "He won’t talk."
"Max who?" I asked, furrowing my brows.
"He’s someone trustworthy," she replied, heading for the door.
Julie ran out, leaving me alone in the room, staring into space and wondering: Why do I care about her? Why? I turned to Marcus and kicked him hard in the ribs, screaming at him in frustration, "You piece of shit! How dare you touch her? How?"
Of course, he felt nothing, but I really wanted to kill him at that moment.
The guard Julie mentioned entered, a look of suspicion on his face as he surveyed the trashed room. "Julie... is this him?"
"Yes," Julie answered eagerly.
He frowned as he approached the bed. "What happened? Why do I have to carry him?"
"He tried to assault her!" I snapped, pointing at the unconscious Marcus.
The words had barely left my mouth before Max’s expression shifted completely.
His eyes flared with rage, and before I knew it, he jumped onto Marcus on the bed, wrapping his massive hands around his throat and beginning to choke him, growling, "You bastard! I’ll kill you!"
"Stop, Max! What’s wrong with you?" Julie screamed, trying to pull him back by his shoulders. "He wasn’t in his right mind, he thought I was his lover! Let him go now, I’m warning you!"
Max’s grip slowly loosened.
He released Marcus’s neck, looking at her in shock. "What are you talking about, Julie? How could he think you were his lover?"
"It’s a long story, I’ll tell you later," she said, catching her breath.
"Fine," I said firmly, watching the hallway through the crack in the door. "Now we need to get him out of here before anyone sees us." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"And where are we putting him?" Max asked, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"We won’t risk taking him out of the club; that’s impossible," I said sternly.
"Max, take him to your room," Julie suggested suddenly.
"What? Why should I take him to my room?" he protested.
"Yes, good idea," I supported her immediately.
Max exhaled in frustration. "Bad idea... but I’ll do it," he said, leaning down to lift him.
Max stepped forward, hoisted him over his shoulder like a sack of sand, and exited the room cautiously. Meanwhile, Julie knelt on the floor and began picking up the shattered pieces of the vase with her trembling hands. I looked at her and said, "Alright Julie, I’m leaving."
She looked up with sincerity. "Thank you, Olivia. I won’t forget this."
"Our rivalry isn’t over, Julie," I said coldly, adjusting my clothes. "I’m still going to make your life hell."
I left her room, and as soon as I walked out the door of the restaurant, I caught a glimpse of Robert’s car parked outside with Carlos beside him.
A cold shiver ran through my body. If we had taken him out of the club, Robert would have known what happened, I thought.
I got into my car and drove home, exhausted and drained from thinking about why I had saved that girl. I took the elevator, and when the door opened, I froze.
He was standing at my apartment door.
He looked at me with his piercing green eyes and walked toward me with confident strides.
Before I could utter a word, he pulled me to him and kissed me a long, violent kiss that left me breathless. "I missed you, Olivia," he said in a husky voice.
I tried to regain my balance. "Why didn’t you call and tell me you were coming?" I asked reproachfully.
"Do I have to?" he asked coldly, brushing a strand of hair from my face.
"Yes, Steve, you have to tell me," I said, opening the apartment door.
