My father sold me to the Mafia King-Chapter 164/ The Secretary’s Daughter
Chapter 164
Carlos’s Point of View
We were sitting there, drinking and laughing, the atmosphere between us finally relaxing after the tension of the meeting with the Don, until a woman appeared the kind that makes you wonder: is she good or evil? She had blue eyes as treacherous as a clear sky, and short blonde hair that framed her face with sharpness.
She wore a red dress that accentuated her charms in a way that was tasteful yet breathtaking.
She walked with confident strides toward us, then leaned over Robert and gave him a quick, fleeting kiss on the lips. She sat beside him, lounging coquettishly. "Robert, darling, where have you been hiding?" she asked.
"I’m not hiding," Robert replied with icy coldness, not a single muscle in his face moving.
"I go to the company every day and can’t find you, and I go to your house but you’re never there..." she said, toyed with a lock of her hair. "And what happened to your handsome face?"
He didn’t spare her a single glance, asking in a dry tone, "Natalia, what do you want?"
"I want you," she whispered, leaning into his ear.
"We’ve already discussed this subject," he said stoically, staring into his glass.
"And I don’t accept your decision," she replied defiantly, lifting her chin.
She suddenly turned to me as if she had just noticed my presence and asked in a condescending tone, "And who are you?"
"Who are you?" I asked, taking in her overwhelming presence.
"I am Natalia Harrington," she answered proudly.
My eyes widened for a moment, shocked when I realized her identity. "Are you the daughter of Secretary Jax Harrington?"
"Yes," she replied with a confident smile. "And you?"
"I’m Carlos Mendoza."
She extended her hand gracefully. "Pleased to meet you, Mr. Carlos."
"The pleasure is mine, Miss Natalia," I replied with equal formality.
She turned back to Robert, who was drinking in total coldness, not interacting with our conversation as if he wasn’t even there. Natalia touched his cheek gently. "Robert, love, didn’t you miss me?" she asked in a trembling voice.
He remained still and didn’t answer, so she persisted. "Because I missed you very much."
"Natalia," he uttered her name in a warning tone.
"Natalia’s heart... Natalia’s soul... Natalia’s eyes," she said playfully.
"Go home," he said, slamming his glass onto the table.
"Are you coming with me?" she asked, her eyes gleaming.
"No, you’re going alone," he replied curtly.
She ran her hand boldly across his chest I felt his muscles stiffen under her touch. "You’re coming with me. I won’t accept any objections."
I didn’t know Robert had a relationship with Jax Harrington’s daughter. "She doesn’t accept any objections. Go now," I joked, trying to break the heavy silence.
She looked at me with a mischievous smile. "Look at your friend, Robert; he understands etiquette very well."
"If he understands so well, then let him go with you," Robert replied, standing up irritably.
She gave his arm a light, flirtatious slap. "You’re so rude."
Well, he is rude, but you’re the one begging, I thought to myself. "Alright Robert, where are you headed now?" I asked aloud. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"To the place we agreed on, Carlos," he said, his eyes fixed on the door.
"No!" Natalia protested immediately, grabbing his arm firmly. "You are coming with me, Robert!"

Robert’s Point of View
I exhaled in frustration, trying to curb my rising anger. I had no idea how to rescue myself from the trap Natalia had set for me. I gripped her arm firmly to discourage her from following me. "Natalia, are you going to make me repeat myself?"
She looked at me with eyes gleaming with destruction and spite. "Robert, what’s wrong with you? Why are you acting like this? You weren’t like this at the beginning!" she said, her voice wavering.
"I was like this from the beginning, Natalia," I replied with a cutting coldness, looking away from her. "From the very start, you knew who I was."
"But I thought you would change... maybe you’d love me the way I love you!" she said, desperation veiling her words as she stepped closer.
I closed my eyes for a moment, trying to keep my cool. "Natalia, please, go home."
"I won’t go back unless you come with me, Robert," she challenged, crossing her arms.
"Look, you’re drunk right now," I said, noticing her slight stagger. "I’ll have someone take you home."
At that moment, Natalia completely lost her mind.
In a swift, manic motion, she grabbed the glasses off the table and started throwing them randomly across the place. One of the glasses struck the head of a man sitting nearby; he exploded in rage, standing up as he wiped blood from his forehead. "You bitch! I’ll show you what happens when you hit me!" he roared.
I stood up immediately, blocking his path with my massive frame. I stared into his eyes with a look that made the blood freeze in his veins. "Go back to your seat, or I’ll break your neck," I hissed. The man retreated in terror and turned back to his place without a word.
Carlos leaned toward me and whispered in my ear, "Where did you find this madwoman?"
Natalia turned to him sharply and screamed in his face so loudly he recoiled. "What are you whispering to him? Tell me!"
"Nothing!" Carlos said, flustered, raising his hands in defense.
I looked at Natalia, who was still breathing heavily from her outburst. "Natalia, come on. I’ll take you home, or you’re going to do something truly insane," I said decisively.
A sudden spark lit up her eyes. "Are you taking me home? Will you stay with me tonight?" she asked eagerly.
"Let’s go," I said curtly, nodding.
I had to play along for a bit just to get her to her house.
It was clear she had completely lost her sanity, and she wouldn’t calm down until she felt a hollow victory over me tonight.

Julie’s Point of View
When he uttered the name "Violet" while staring into my eyes with that vacant look, I felt as though someone had poured a bucket of freezing water over me. My limbs froze completely, and a shiver of terror ran through me. "Marcus... I’m Julie," I said, my voice trembling as I tried to pull myself together.
He didn’t listen. Instead, he let out a deep sigh as if he had recovered a lost soul. "Violet... I missed you."
I quickly let go of his arm and took a step back. "Marcus, do you hear me? I’m Julie... Julie!" I said louder, trying to wake him from his drunken delirium.
"Where have you been? I searched everywhere for you and couldn’t find you," he replied, approaching me with unsteady steps, his eyes following my face with a terrifying passion.
At that moment, my heart pounding violently, I realized there was no point in talking to him. He had completely lost consciousness; all he could see before him was my aunt’s ghost.
He placed his heavy hand on my face, and I felt the roughness of his palm as he stroked my skin. "Violet... did you miss me too?" he whispered brokenly.
I flicked his hand off my face and immediately headed for the door.
I had to get out and escape this predicament at any cost, but he was faster than I expected. He grabbed me by the arm and pulled me toward him with a force that slammed my body against his hard chest. "Violet... where are you going?" he asked possessively.
"Marcus, let go of my hand! I am not Violet!" I screamed sharply, trying to break free from his tightening grip.
"I won’t let you go this time... not after I’ve found you," he growled huskily, pulling me even closer.
He suddenly leaned in to kiss me. A chill of horror ran down my spine, and I jerked my face away quickly.
But he cornered me completely, pinning me against the cold wall with the weight of his body. "I missed you, Violet," he said, his breath coming out in ragged gasps. "I missed kissing you."
