My Elf System-Chapter 204 - . ACT {24}:- Quarterfinals.
While Dahlia and Mia were busy preparing for their surprise dinner with Orion, everyone else in the arena was preoccupied with watching the fights of the last remaining students.
Since Orion had successfully qualified for the quarter-finals, only fourteen students remained to fight against each other, and right now, the succubus princess stepped into the arena with her opponent walking in behind her.
But unlike Lilith, who was a demon, her opponent was a human from the human kingdom.
The two slowly took their stance with their beasts standing behind them.
The look on the faces of the beasts was fierce, and both of them were ready to attack, provided their masters commanded them to.
The beast of the human, who had brown hair and hazel-colored eyes, was actually a huge rhinoceros whose individual strength was far stronger than any other beast in the same rank as it, but not Lilith’s transcendent beast.
Lilith’s dark panther began growling as sparks of purple lightning, glittered and crackled around the magnificent beast.
Ganesha signaled the commencement of the battle and the two beasts engaged in direct combat against each other while Lilith fought against the human in front of her.
In less than a minute, Lilith suddenly appeared behind the human and swiftly gave him a hand chop on his neck, causing the human to collapse on the floor. Then she turned towards her beast only to see a streak of purple lightning, rain down from the sky and onto the rhinoceros.
The battle swiftly came to an end even though it hadn’t been up to five minutes since it began.
The succubus princess’ fans cheered louder than ever as they tried to show Orion’s fans how a cheer was meant to sound.
Lilith’s fans stood up from their seats and clapped as they watched her return to her seat.
Meanwhile, Daisy and Sabrina were also clapping from where they sat as they watched Lilith return to her seat.
The moment the clapping and the cheering sounds quieted down, Daisy giggled and she muttered loud enough for Sabrina to hear. "Ufufufu, it seems eight of my students will be making it to the quarter-finals."
"I doubt that," Sabrina replied while her eyes remained fixated on the next students to walk into the arena.
"What do you mean?"
"Your students might have accomplished something amazing by taming transcendent beasts, but there are two other students you shouldn’t underestimate in the tournament."
"Hmm, you’re talking about the two elves, aren’t you?" The two elves Sabrina was talking about, happened to be Luna and William, and both elves had shown how talented they were in the tournament, just like the top ten students in the academy.
"Yes, and if those two qualify, there’s a high chance that they will become part of the top ten students of the academy."
"Oh well, I guess we would just have to wait and see."
"I guess we will, but what you did was risky as well."
"Are you talking about the transcendent beasts?"
"Yes, you shouldn’t have asked them to tame those savage, wild beasts for the tournament. What would you have done if the students had suffered damage too powerful for the training dummies to withstand?"
Just like in the noble elf tournament, the training dummies in the Beast Taming tournament helped to absorb and reflect the damage a student had received during their tasks, but if the damage was too much for the dummy to withstand, it could cause the death of the contestants and this was why Sabrina wasn’t happy with what Daisy did.
Daisy understood what Sabrina was talking about, so she sighed as she tried to reply. "I understand what you mean, Sabrina, but trust me when I say that I made sure every one of them was prepared for the tournament before permitting them to chase after a transcendent beast to tame,"
"Well, since all of your students were able to successfully tame a transcendent beast, I guess that means you did a really good job in preparing them for today’s tournament."
"Ufufufu–Of course, I did. If I didn’t, who would?"
"Someone who’s equally as talented as you?"
"Nah, no one else could have done what I did; I’m the best beast tamer this academy has to offer," Daisy said with a huge smile on her face, and her chest puffed out to emphasize her huge breasts. But Sabrina simply rolled her eyes with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, yeah, you’re a great professor. The academy will be hopeless without you."
"That’s right and don’t you forget it."
Sabrina rolled her eyes once again and the two continued to converse about their students and the ongoing tournament.
A few minutes later, the round consisting of the sixteen battles came to an end, with Aslan being the final student to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Aslan returned to his seat to see Orion, Adrian, and Arthur seated together.
He took his seat and asked. "Do we know who we will be facing next?"

"Yes," Adrian replied before pointing towards the screen in front of them.
Aslan lifted his head to see the list of the students who had qualified for the quarter-finals.
"Four elves?" Arthur voiced out his thoughts as he stared at the screen. "Out of the eight students who qualified, half of them are elves?"
"It looks like the elves want to dominate the academy," Aslan jested as he cackled a bit.
Then he walked behind Arthur before placing his hand on his shoulder. "But don’t worry about it, we just have to work harder to prove ourselves."
"That’s easy for you to say, your opponent is a human, but mine is Prince Galdur."
"Scared?" Orion asked with a smirk.
"Me? Scared? No way. But it’ll be nice to see how your fans react when they see their beloved prince losing his next fight."
"And you think you can beat me?"
"Yeah, there’s a new skill I’ve been dying to try out."
"Very well, may the best man win."
"Agreed," Both men had decided to not hold back in the next fight, and they didn’t, but in the end, there could only be one winner.
"The winner is Prince Galdur!!" And that was The Elf Prince.
