Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Sooner or Later She’ll Be Spoiled Into a Little Good-for-Nothing

The bus arrived shortly.

As soon as they got on, the girl dragged Xu Jiayan to the empty seats at the back.

Holding his arm, her little body leaned against him as if boneless, making Xu Jiayan’s body stiffen as he coldly told her to sit properly.

"Oh!" The girl pouted, reluctantly sitting up straight, but soon leaned against the window on the other side.

With the bus shaking, her eyelids grew heavier, and before long, she fell asleep. As her little head nodded off, about to hit the window, a hand timely stretched out to block it.

Looking down at the girl’s peaceful face, a hint of helplessness flashed across Xu Jiayan’s face.

"Hey, Jiang Xiaoyuan, wake up!"

Jiang Yuan was woken up by Xu Jinyan’s loud voice. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Opening her eyes, she found that the bus had reached the stop, and she was led off by Xu Jiayan. Until the bus drove away, she was still dazed.

Not holding back, Xu Jinyan loudly exclaimed: "Jiang Xiaoyuan, are you a pig? You fell asleep just over two stops."

Still groggy from her nap, Jiang Yuan, with her clear, translucent big eyes, appeared especially lost amidst the foggy mist, her expression innocent and confused like a lost deer. Hearing Xu Jinyan’s voice, she instinctively looked up with her damp eyes and retorted: "You’re the pig, I was just too tired from walking."

She just wanted to close her eyes and rest, not expecting to fall asleep.

Watching her still argue with Jinyan in her dazed state, Xu Jiayan found it amusing yet helpless. He took off his backpack from his shoulder, squatted in front of her and said, "Climb on."

Jiang Yuan blinked her beautiful big eyes, her expression a bit stunned, staring at his back for a few seconds before slowly realizing. She then happily clung to him, wrapping her arms around his neck: "Brother Yan is the best!"

"Bro, you just spoil her! Sooner or later you’ll spoil her into a useless person," Xu Jinyan complained as he hopped around.

Jiang Yuan, perched on Xu Jiayan’s back, made a face at him, "Even if I become useless, you won’t have to support me."

Xu Jinyan: "I definitely don’t want to support you." He was worried about her brother.

Xu Jiayan, carrying Jiang Yuan, steadily stood up and interrupted the bickering duo: "Alright, let’s go home!"

"Hmph!" The two glared at each other then simultaneously turned away.

Xu Jiayan carried Jiang Yuan towards the villa.

"Surprise!"

As they entered, a loud "bang" sounded, and colorful confetti flew above their heads.

Xu Jiayan looked up, saw Lin Wan behind the door holding a party popper with a happy face, and said expressionlessly: "Can you not be childish every time?"

"Young man, watch your language," Lin Wan glanced at him. Then, seeing Jiang Yuan on his back, her tone immediately softened: "What’s wrong with Yuanyuan?"

Xu Jinyan jumped in from behind, snorted through his nose and said: "Don’t mind her, she’s just lazy."

Feeling embarrassed, Jiang Yuan climbed down from Xu Jiayan’s back, her face flushed, saying: "Aunt Wan, I’m fine!"

Knowing she was alright, Lin Wan smiled and said, "That’s good. Now go wash your hands, dinner is ready soon!"

Just as she finished, Xu Annian appeared with an apron on, holding a dish as he came out of the kitchen.

The table was already full of dishes, and in the middle a large birthday cake.

"These dishes weren’t made by my dad, were they?" Xu Jinyan stared in horror, nearly saying outright whether it was edible.

Xu Annian looked up and glared at him: "Young man, is your dad’s cooking poisonous?"

Xu Jinyan pouted: Would he know if it was poisonous!
