My Childhood Sweetheart Is a Little Crybaby!-Chapter 101 Why did you just lie to someone?
Xu Jinyan finally reluctantly let the little pig go.
As the two of them came downstairs, when passing the living room, Jiang Yuan suddenly remembered something, opened her small bag, and took out a sticky note to leave a message for Lin Wan.
After making sure she had written everything down clearly, she left the house with Xu Jinyan.
The two hailed a taxi near the neighborhood.
"Uncle, we want to go to the train station!" As soon as they got in the car, Xu Jinyan couldn’t wait to speak up.
Compared to Jiang Yuan, Young Master Xu seemed much more excited.
His plan to run away from home was finally getting a chance to be carried out.
The driver was a young man who, upon seeing that he was giving a ride to two adolescents, couldn’t help but laugh and ask, "Kid, is it just the two of you? Where’s your mom and dad?"
Xu Jinyan was about to speak but Jiang Yuan quietly tugged on his finger, and the tacit understanding from growing up together immediately shut Young Master Xu up.
Even though he didn’t know what Jiang Xiaoyuan was planning to do, staying quiet was the right move.
Then, Jiang Yuan took out a cell phone from her bag, snapped a photo of the driver, and crisply replied, "Uncle, our mom and dad are waiting for us at the train station, could you please take us there?"
"I’ve already sent a picture of uncle and the car’s license plate to mom. She said she’d meet us at the entrance of the station."
Hearing this, Young Master Xu blinked in confusion.
Lin Xiaowan and her dad were waiting for them at the station? How come he didn’t know about this?
Although he had no idea why Jiang Xiaoyuan was lying, he knew she must have her reasons, so, despite all his doubts, he didn’t show it in front of the driver.
Realizing that the two kids were quite wary and didn’t seem like the type to run around on their own, the driver assumed they had arranged a meet-up with their parents and didn’t pursue the matter further, just smiling and saying, "Alright, then fasten your seatbelts, uncle will take you there now."
Once the driver turned around and the car drove off for a while, Young Master Xu leaned in and quietly asked Jiang Yuan, "Why did you just lie to him?"
"Shh!"
Jiang Yuan quietly gestured for him to stay silent, "I’ll tell you when we get to the station."
"Oh!" Young Master Xu felt like he was being scratched by a cat with curiosity, but looking at Jiang Xiaoyuan’s expression, he refrained from asking any further.
After the driver dropped the two off at the station, Jiang Yuan took out some coins from her small bag to give to him. But the driver didn’t take it, smiling at them and saying, "Kids, remember to wait obediently at the entrance for your mom and dad, there are lots of people at the station, so don’t run around."
"Thank you, uncle!" Jiang Yuan politely thanked him.
Then she and Xu Jinyan got out of the car together.
Waving goodbye to the driver and watching the car drive away, the pent-up Young Master Xu couldn’t wait to ask, "Can you tell me now, why did you lie?"
Jiang Yuan rolled her eyes at him and said, "Silly, should we have said that we ran out without our parents’ knowledge? What if he called the police and sent us back?"
Xu Jinyan scratched his head, thinking that perhaps she had a point!
The training camp’s location was in the neighboring city, about a hundred kilometers from West City, a two-hour drive by car.
But by high-speed train, it would only take half an hour.
The two arrived at the ticket hall, and Jiang Yuan took out her ID card from her small bag, then looked at Xu Jinyan.
Xu Jinyan: ???
Jiang Yuan: "Where’s your ID card?"
Xu Jinyan: "I... I didn’t bring it!"
Jiang Yuan: ...
