Chapter 182: Chapter 182

Vivienne’s POV

"If I don’t come, where do you plan to go this afternoon?" Julian asked, taking the side dishes the waiter had brought and placing them at the edge of the table.

"We’re going to take the ferry. I’ve heard the view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from the boat is even more beautiful," I said, picking up a piece of grilled fish, carefully removing the bones, and popping it into my mouth. It was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—absolutely delicious.

"Then let’s take the ferry. I’ll go wherever you do," Julian said. He noticed my Sprite was nearly finished and asked, "Do you want another one? I’ll grab it for you."

"Mm," I replied.

"Alright." Julian returned to the table, setting the drink in front of me before sitting down himself.

"Thanks."

"You two must be getting close to finishing up your sightseeing in Sydney. What’s next on the agenda?" he asked.

"Actually, we’re planning to head to Melbourne tomorrow. But you’ve just arrived, and you haven’t really seen much of Sydney..." I responded.

"It’s fine. I’ve been to Sydney before and already did all the touristy stuff. Let’s just go straight to Melbourne tomorrow," Julian said.

"Alright then."

The Chinese restaurant we were eating at was just a short walk from the pier, so we decided to head over on foot. Julian took the initiative to carry both my and Sophie’s bags.

As we walked, we passed a café with several umbrellas outside, each shading a set of round tables beneath.

"Why don’t you two wait here for a bit? I’ll treat you to some coffee," Julian suggested.

Sipping coffee while enjoying the view from the ferry sounded like a perfect way to pass the time.

Sophie nodded in agreement and pulled me toward a seat. "That sounds great, thanks. I’ll have a cappuccino, iced, please."

"I’ll have a latte, iced as well," I said.

"Okay, stay here. I’ll grab them for you," Julian said before heading into the café.

As I watched him queue up, two bags slung over his shoulder, Sophie chuckled and said, "I didn’t expect him to be so thoughtful."

I smiled faintly but didn’t respond.

This scene didn’t go unnoticed by Alexander, who was watching from a distance. His face darkened, and he let out a cold snort.

Julian sure knows how to be attentive!

A moment later, Julian came out with three cups of coffee and handed them to me and Sophie.

"Thanks."

I took my cup, stirred it a little, and smiled as the warmth of the coffee spread through me.

Julian blinked in surprise. "You’re welcome."

I took a sip through the straw, instantly feeling the heat of the day lift away.

Half-jokingly, Julian said, "Vivienne, you should smile more often. You look really pretty when you do."

We continued walking toward the pier, buying tickets before boarding the boat.

The ship had picked up more passengers and was now setting sail toward Moonlight Park on the opposite shore. As we drifted farther from the dock, the view opened up, becoming increasingly vast. From the distance, the Sydney Opera House seemed to rise out of the water, seamlessly connected to the Harbour Bridge, creating a breathtaking, grand sight.

"Miss Sophie, could you take a few pictures of Vivienne and me?" Julian asked, handing his phone to Sophie.

"Sure! Let me show you my photography skills." Sophie grinned, then pointed to a spot on the deck. "You two, go stand over there..." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

I glanced at Julian beside me and took a couple of steps toward him.

Julian flashed a charming smile and took a large step forward, his arm brushing against my shoulder. He turned slightly, angling his body to show off his long legs.

"Perfect, hold that pose! Three, two, one!"

"Vivienne, give us a smile and strike a pose!" Sophie called.

I wasn’t the best at posing, so I managed a gentle smile, raising my fingers in a V-shape beside my cheek.

"Okay, all done! What do you think?" Sophie shook the phone in front of us, and Julian and I leaned in to look.

In the picture, my features looked soft and relaxed, my smile graceful, serene, like a goddess. Julian looked handsome, his smile bright and sunny, showing off a perfect set of white teeth.

Behind us was the deep blue sea, with the majestic Sydney Opera House to the left in the distance and the grand Harbour Bridge to the right. The people and the stunning scenery blended so perfectly that it was hard to know where to look.

Julian nodded in satisfaction. "Thanks! These look great. Want to take some, too? I can help you."

"Sure!" Sophie pulled me toward the railing and struck a pose.

Compared to Julian and me, Sophie was way more dynamic with her poses. She kept switching it up—sometimes wrapping her arm around my waist, sometimes leaning on my shoulder, and other times puckering her lips to kiss my cheek. All I had to do was match her energy.

Alexander’s POV

What’s so great about it? There’s nothing good about it at all!

Why does he have to stand so close just for a picture?!

In the cruise’s private lounge, I watched as Julian kept edging closer to Vivienne, my teeth nearly grinding together in frustration.

This Julian... he’s so devious!

I saw that Sophie had taken Vivienne’s side by now, and my mood lifted just a little, but it didn’t last long. Within moments, the storm clouds in my mind were back.

After the photo session, Vivienne and Sophie huddled together, scrolling through their phones.

But what really caught my eye was how close Julian was standing to Vivienne—his head almost brushing hers! This was definitely intentional!

Ever since Julian had joined the trip, my mood had soured.

This should’ve been my spot.

I kept imagining it: if it were me and Vivienne on this trip—she’d be out on the deck, the sea breeze in her hair, and I’d be right there beside her, enjoying the view, snapping pictures of her... How romantic that would have been.

But unfortunately, we never got that chance.

Right now, jealousy was eating me alive, threatening to consume me completely.

Vivienne and the others took photos all the way until the ship docked at the opposite pier.

After disembarking, they lingered by the shore for a while before heading off to do some shopping, only returning by ferry in the evening.

After dinner, both Julian and Sophie updated their statuses.

A few minutes later, the photos showed up on my phone.

I stared at the pictures of Julian and Vivienne, my mind growing heavier with each passing second, my anger simmering beneath the surface, my teeth gritting in fury.

In the photos, Julian was standing way too close to Vivienne, grinning like a fool as they both looked at the camera. There were a few shots where he was gazing at Vivienne with such intensity it was almost suffocating.

I glared at Julian in those pictures, wishing I could burn a hole right through them.

He was so... irritating!

I slowly shifted my gaze to Vivienne—her expression soft, her smile gentle—as she gazed steadily at the camera.

I couldn’t look away, my fingers itching to reach out and trace the screen where her face appeared.

But then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Julian again, and my expression darkened. I quickly scrolled to the next picture.

These were photos of Sophie and Vivienne together. The more I looked, the worse my mood got.

What was with all these weird poses Sophie was doing for the photos? It was so hot out—wasn’t she sweating from holding Vivienne like that? And where was her hand supposed to go?

She was practically about to kiss Vivienne’s cheek!

By now, I was getting irritated with Sophie too.

Then I looked back at Vivienne. She was going along with Sophie’s poses, her expression becoming more natural, more alive.

I took a deep breath, my eyes fixated on her image, completely mesmerized.
